Eevee's POV:

That glow . . . in that certain pattern . . . and the moon was gone . . . behind the clouds - 

"Oh, no," Eevee muttered.

"Umbreon!" Pikachu exclaimed. "Run!"

But when he turned around, he realized Eevee wasn't running.

"Eevee?" Pikachu asked, turning around.

"Child!" Umbreon screeched in Eevee's face, shattering the moment. "HOW DARE YOU LIE TO ME? I trusted you! And you - you dare go - out - with - this - MOUSE!"

"Go away! I had this under control!" Eevee yelled.

"I expected better from my daughter!" Umbreon yelled back. "How dare - "

"Get away from my son, you traitor!" a different voice screamed.

Eevee turned around to see what looked like Pikachu's mother, levitating, holding Pikachu while he struggled to break free.

Pikachu's POV:

"Mom, let go of me!" Pikachu yelled, struggling to get out of his mother's grip. However, she just levitated higher.

"How dare you. How dare you!" Alolan Raichu yelled at Eevee. "You dare to try to date my son? You dare to stain his honor? You dare to even get close to him like that??"

"I - I - " Eevee stuttered. "This isn't as bad as it looks. You see - "

"NO! No excuses shall be told to this woman. Not now, not ever! My son sides with me! We stand together in saying that YOU SHALL NOT MEET HIM EVER AGAIN, YOU DAUGHTER OF UMBREON!"

"Wait," Pikachu suddenly interrupted, breaking free of his mother's grip. "That's why so many kids shunned you. That's why they teased me about having a crush on you. That's why you've been acting a little weird."

"I don't want to hear any more of this," Umbreon said. "Come, my daughter. Let's get away from these ______ ____ers."

But even as they separated, Umbreon and Alolan Raichu continued yelling at each other.

"How dare you?"

"Why did you even parent him?"

"He's my son, you _____!!"

"I don't care, you ______ ______!"

Finally, as Umbreon slipped into the shadows and Alolan Raichu disappeared into the sky, the moon begun to shine, once again, where Pikachu and Eevee had once been.
