After School II

Pikachu's POV:

As soon as 5th hour ended, Pikachu went over to Eevee.

"Hi," he panted.

"Hey," she responded, looking as if she wanted to be alone.

"Look, I'm sorry about first hour. You don't have to sit by me again if you don't want to, but I had to apologize. And also - "

"No, you're fine!" Eevee interrupted, suddenly looking at him as if he was crazy. "Mr. Xatu didn't do anything bad, but if it happens one more time - "

"That's my point!" Pikachu interrupted. "If you do it again, then - then - "

Pikachu burst out into tears. "I don't want to even think about it," he sobbed.

"Oh, Pikachu," Eevee replied. (By this point they're outside, and most of the students are gone.) She set her bag down and made Pikachu sit down. "You know me. Well, actually you don't, but in any case, I'll be fine. If they do anything bad to me, I won't regret it, as long as you're okay."

Pikachu blushed. He never thought she'd say that.

Eevee sat down by him. Pikachu's blush amplified by 1000.

Eevee's POV:

As Eevee sat down by Pikachu, she suddenly realized, Wow, he's actually someone I want to be friends with.

In the split second while she was sitting down, she'd put together the evidence; Pikachu was shy around everyone, he actually cared about her safety (her father certainly didn't), and he didn't treat her as if she was a criminal's daughter.

She finally decided to ask him, just to see if her implication was correct.

"Pikachu?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you have a crush on me?"

Pikachu's POV:

Pikachu blushed even more. "No! Why would I . . . "

He'd just realized that Eevee was leaning in toward him, so the I trailed off.

"Wh-what are you d-doing?" Pikachu asked softly.

Eevee laughed softly, kindly, as she continued leaning in. "What do you think I'm doing?"

Pikachu blushed even more. "Um - uh - "

He was cut off by a honk.

Eevee's POV:

As both Pikachu and Eevee looked up, they both realized that the honk had belonged to a Pokemon. He stood above them, looking at them, straight in their eyes. He had a mainly white body, except for a section where it looked like a tank top cut in half, the color being dark blue, with an cyan outline at the bottom. He had a short beak, yellow webbed feet without the webbing, and feather-like arms (except the only dark blue feather-like parts being after the elbow). He also had a "hairstyle" that swooped backwards, the color of it being dark blue. He also had a slight floof of a dark blue tail.

"Who are you?" Eevee asked, standing up.

The Pokemon let out a deep laugh. "Who am I? I'm Quaxwell, official type Water, official classification The Practicing Pokemon. Who are you is the quaxwell."

Undaunted, Eevee responded, "I'm Eevee, official type Normal, official classification The Evolution Pokemon. Pikachu?"

Pikachu then shyly muttered, "Pikachu. Type Electric. Classification The Mouse Pokemon. Pleased to meet you."

As Pikachu slowly stood up, Eevee shook her head and thought, Well, he lives up to his classification.

"In any case," Quaxwell said, "The buses have all left. Are you guys walking home?"

"Wait, WHAT?" Eevee exclaimed. "Oh no! My dad's expecting me home!!"

"It's okay - " said Pikachu, but he was cut off.

"It's not fine!" Eevee yelled. "What will my father think? He'll kill me! He'll make me a disgrace! He'll - he'll - "

Now it was Eevee's turn to burst into tears.

Pikachu's POV:

"Hey, hey, it's OK. It's going to be okay," Pikachu said, as Eevee laid on his shoulder, still sobbing. Pikachu was, of course, blushing, but he knew that Eevee was more important than his body's response to having a crush. After a little, Pikachu gently removed her from his shoulder.

"You're going to be fine," he reassured her. "Everything is going to be okay."

"Promise?"

"Promise."

Alright, Pikachu thought. Don't mess this up.

"Eevee?"

"Yeah?"

Pikachu was quiet for a minute. Then he blurted out, "Would you be willing to go on a date with me?"

Eevee's POV:

She was stunned. Pikachu liked her that much?

He really doesn't know who I am, she thought.

However, she wanted to so bad. But what would her dad think? Finally, after thinking it over, she made her decision.

"Yeah," she responded. "I'd be so willing."

Pikachu looked so stunned. "Y-you want t-to - !!!"

He was cut off by Eevee's lips on his.

Pikachu's POV:

He couldn't believe it. Never in a million years had he expected it to happen this soon, right now. But he immediately got used to it. He just savored the moment, the sun beginning to set, setting the perfect mood for a first kiss. In fact, he got so used to it that he was surprised when Eevee pulled away.

"I'm sorry!" she exclaimed. "I should've - !!!!"

She was immediately cut off by Pikachu pulling her in again.

Eevee's POV:

She was surprised. Man, Pikachu really liked her that much. But now she was conflicted. Should she follow her heart or her father? She still had a lot of information to uncover about the treasure. But should she follow through on the plan her father had set for her? Was it even worth it? Finally, Pikachu pulled away.

"The point I was trying to get across," she said softly, quietly, " is that sealed the deal. Believe I want to go out with you now?"

"Yeah," he responded, in the same tone. "Yeah, I believe you."

"See you later!" she suddenly said, beginning to run, ignoring Pikachu's calls.

How was she supposed to choose between her heart and her father? The choice felt impossible. Her father was a criminal, but he had her best intentions. Right?
