8 Months Later
Pikachu's POV:
Pikachu's life couldn'tve gotten any worse than it had been 8 months ago.
First off, his mother purposely made him have a different schedule than Eevee's, which made him have no chance of him talking to her, to try and make her understand. But Pikachu's love for Eevee didn't fade, which made him have a problem with the girl that his mother made him date.
"Please hurry up, darling!"
"I'm trying," Pikachu murmured as he climbed up the kitchen drawers to reach the popped-out vegan toast.
"I said hurry up!" the voice yelled from the other room.
Pikachu sighed and brought her toast to Bayleef. Yup, you heard me right.
Alolan Raichu had made Pikachu date Bayleef.
Bayleef was a beautiful but vain Pokemon, with yellow coloring and a sprouting flower around her neck and a leaf on the top of her head (and she also looked like a dinosaur), and she believed that she was royalty. In fact, she was positive that her little sister, Chikorita, would win the Johto Starter Pageant. Pikachu didn't want to date her, and he'd hoped that he would never have to cross paths with her in his life.
However, ever since the incident 8 months ago, Alolan Raichu had been asking other people if their daughters could date Pikachu. All rejected except for Meganium, Bayleef's mother. They both knew that it would be amazing if their son and daughter actually got together, and they'd wanted to be related anyway.
Pikachu had had no say in this. Alolan Raichu and Meganium had just introduced them, told them that they were going to be boyfriend-girlfriend, and then left them alone.
Bayleef instantly warmed up to Pikachu, calling him 'hers', but Pikachu resisted. He still wanted to give Eevee another chance, but it seemed impossible. So he was stuck with Bayleef.
Alolan Raichu had expected them to have shared a first kiss by now (Pikachu knew about that because he'd peeked into his mother's journal), but guess what hasn't happened yet!
But Pikachu was still hoping that Eevee would understand, if she ever let him get close to her.
Eevee's POV:
She'd actually been going well since she'd dumped Pikachu. She'd been helping her father gain information about the treasure, and they were so close to being immortal!
There was one problem, though.
There was a TON of security around Mew, the principal, and her office.
Which was where the treasure was.
It was known that a lot of people wanted to kill Mew, or at least duplicate her genes, but she wouldn't have a word of it. She was a Mythical Pokemon for that reason, and a ton of security was placed around her and the treasure that she bore.
She was a fairy-like thing, with small hands, mini ears, a skinny tail that felt like it stretched to twice the length of her body (which is amazing, considering she's the height of Pikachu) with a small oval-like shape at the end of it, and rabbit feet. She was colored pink all over, and she was well known for having the ability to change into any Pokemon she wished (even Pokemon that used to exist) and her ability to fly of some sort. Her official type was Psychic, and her official classification was the New Species Pokemon.
In any case, Mew led like a true leader, righting wrongs, making sure people didn't wrong rights, and just being an amazing principal overall. And she was the host of a new one-time pageant.
You heard about the Johto Starter Pageant, right? Well, there were pageants like that all over for all of the regions, which are Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, Galar & Paldea. Well, Mew decided to switch things up. She decided to host a whole new pageant to honor an old region that rests below the region of Sinnoh, called Hisui. But she would only choose winners of the pageants, and even then, all of the regions would be having their own pageants to choose 9 competitors, 3 from each region, which means that 3 regions would be in the finals. And the final three winning Pokemon would each be from different regions.
Okay, enough of me blabbering about random information. Back to Eevee.
In any case, she sometimes kept feeling as if she should forgive Pikachu.
Never, her mind told her heart. You saw him: he's dating another girl.
But he doesn't look happy, her heart retaliated.
Shut up, Eevee thought to both of them.
But deep down, she agreed with her heart. Why did she still have a grudge against Pikachu? She'd seen all of the times that he'd tried to come talk to her. Seen all the times he'd tried to explain.
But she'd been too stubborn to listen.
