Nice Peaceful Spot
Piplup is running through the spiky forest, out of fear that the Skullasaurus might catch up and eat the poor frightened penguin Pokémon. Eventually, he finds his way out of the forest and into a lovely meadow.
The meadow was covered in a field of flowers. A majestic waterfall can be heard across the beautiful landscape. Upon viewing his surroundings, whatever fears the penguin Pokémon had before, they were completely washed away. Piplup was walking through the meadow and behind the small waterfall, and then, sliding down in a tree log. For the first time, in his life, Piplup was not scared by his surroundings. He was calm and relaxed for a change.
He then notices a little bush. He tries to smell it. However, upon close examination of this bush, the penguin Pokémon discovers that bush was covered with many Cutieflies, especially after accidentally smelling one of them and it got stuck onto his nose. It was not stuck for long.
Then, the curious Cutiefly started to examine the penguin Pokémon. It was touching Piplup's face, which caused him to giggle a bit. Just as the Cutiefly was attempting to pick him up, Piplup hears a familiar voice not too far from him.
"Oh, my, my." The voice stated as Piplup turns to see that it was Pikachu and his other friends who also have found their way out of the dark spiky forest and away from the Skullasaurus.
"I believe you've made a friend, Piplup," Pikachu said while walking down to his penguin friend.
"I believe you're right, Pikachu," Piplup responded as his "new friend" was struggling to pick up the small penguin Pokémon.
Suddenly, the Cutiefly called for the other Cutieflies to come over and help it out. One flew over to Piplup.
"And another, it seems," Pikachu stated as he watches the Cutieflies, one by one, come over to his penguin friend. "And also, that one. And that one too, as well. And he, or her, and her and him, and they and them."
Eventually, all the Cutieflies were trying to lift Piplup up into the air. Persian sat next to the penguin Pokémon, to observe what exactly is happening.
"Face it, Piplup old pal, you're just plain popular," Persian stated, just as Slowpoke finally caught up with his friends.
"Some Piplups have it, some Slowpokes don't." The Dopey Pokémon stated.
The Cutieflies were eventually successful in lifting the penguin Pokémon up and then started carrying him.
"Why, I believe, Piplup," Pikachu said as he is watching the Cutieflies carrying his best friend up into the air. "they want to take you home with them."
Piplup laughed at this thought.
"It-It's very kind of them, I'm sure, but, ah... I already have a home." Piplup stated, but the Cutieflies were not listening to him.
They started carrying the small Pokémon away from his friends. And Piplup realizes what is going on, his fear of heights came back to haunt him.
"Oh, d-d-dear!" Piplup shouted as he covers his eyes so that he does not have to look down.
"Piplup!" Pikachu yells out to his flying friend while walking to the top of an old tree trunk, to catch the penguin Pokémon.
"Don't leave!" The mouse Pokémon pleaded with the flying Piplup, but the Cutieflies are not listening to the pleads.
"I wouldn't if I could, but I can't!" The frightened penguin Pokémon exclaimed to his pleading friend.
"Jump, Piplup!" Persian suggested as he hops over to where Pikachu was, but only underneath him. "We'll catch ya, likely as not."
"I would if I could, but they won't let me!" Piplup shouted to his classy cat Pokémon friend.
"Perhaps you could ask your friends to bring you back?" Pikachu asked his flying friend.
"Why, yes!" Piplup said, agreeing to this idea. However, there was a slight problem. "But I don't know which way back is."
"It's down here," Pikachu said while laughing at his friend's question. "Look!"
Sadly, for Piplup, due to his acrophobia, every time he attempted to look down, he just covers his eyes again with his hands.
"I'm afraid I'm too afraid to look," Piplup stated, succumbing to his fears. "Oh, if only Ash Ketchum was here."
His statement suddenly made Pikachu remember something that Ash told him that could just help Piplup out of his current situation.
"Ash Ketchum! Piplup, that's it!" Pikachu exclaimed to his scared friend up in the air, as he puts his honey pot down next to him.
"He said all I have to do is remember that you're...bigger than a big leaf," Pikachu said, as he is struggling to figure out the exact words Ash Ketchum told him before. "I mean, uh...bolder when you're not green?"
"Oh," Pikachu said as he cannot remember Ash's exact advice to him. "Is any of this making you feel any less afraid, Piplup."
"I'm afraid not, Pikachu," Piplup answered as he is still covering his eyes with his hands.
"Oh, bother," Pikachu said as he sat down on the tree trunk. "Hmph. How to get a Piplup down who is very...up?"
Just as the electric mouse Pokémon started to think, Piplup, unknowingly, grabs Pikachu with his legs, and now, he is carrying Pikachu up in the air. However, when he did that, he accidentally caused the honey pot to fall. Fortunately, Persian was able to catch it before it could land on the ground. Pikachu, out of his thinking process, realizes what just happened. He was now in the air, holding onto one of Piplup's feet, being carried by the Cutieflies.
"Oh, bother." Pikachu's response to his current situation.
"Oh! E-Excuse me, b-but is that you, Pikachu?" Piplup questioned his friend.
"Yes, Piplup," Pikachu answered back. "It is."
With the addition of Pikachu, the Cutieflies were struggling to carry both him and Piplup in the air. One by one, each Cutiefly was starting to let go of the penguin Pokémon.
"Might we be coming down soon?" asked Piplup.
"I believe so, Piplup," Pikachu said as he watches the Cutieflies leave,
"Uh... how soon?" Piplup asked his friend again.
Just as they began their rapid descent to the ground, Pikachu responded, "Very."
Below them, Bunnelby was looking at the map, trying to figure out where they need to go next in their quest. Once he noticed a shadow covering him, he looks up and started to panic.
"Ah-ah!" The rabbit Pokémon stated before he was crushed by Pikachu's body.
Luckily, Pikachu and Piplup landed in a field of flowers that cushioned their fall. Persian then walks over to his two friends with a happy expression on his face, while carrying Pikachu's honey pot.
"That's throwin' your weight around, Pikachu!" He said as he picks up both Pikachu and Piplup and hugs them. "Imagine, bein' outnumbered by those buggy-boys a zillion to one. What a guy!"
Just as the classy cat Pokémon carries them out of the field, Bunnelby recovers from the impact of Pikachu's body.
"Heh-heh. Brave, indeed." The dazed rabbit Pokémon said, before trying to regain his balance and walk over to his friends. "Now if you don't mind, Mash Ketch, Sash Ketchup, Hash Kitchen, is this way."
Bunnelby starts leading his friends out of the nice peaceful spot. When they started to leave, Pikachu noticed his penguin friend stayed behind. He walks back over to the sadden Pokémon.
"Are you all right, Piplup?" A concerned Pikachu asked his friend.
"Yes, Pikachu. Thank you" Piplup answered. "Saving me was very brave of you."
"But you're brave too, Piplup." Pikachu started to explain to his friend. "Braver than...uh, something."
"I am?" Piplup said with a tone of surprise in his voice. He then asked Pikachu, "Oh, what thing is that?"
"I'm not sure, Piplup." Pikachu sadly answered. "Oh, if only I could remember."
The electric mouse Pokémon then started to lead his penguin Pokémon out of the meadow and caught up with their friends, so that they could continue their quest for Ash Ketchum.
