Natalie and Veggie are face to face with a Phoenix that could not be harmed or dead in this battle. As Veggie prepared his full force to breed for life in this fight he know how to copy the movements.

"Spirit Slash!" Natalie yelled.

"Big Bang Attack!" Vegito yelled.

Each time they attack the Phoenix would grow stronger that they both struggled to figure out another plan. Veggie began to think or where to search for the weak spot that he realized that there was a sign of ice on the other side because during the flight where Veggie and Natalie had arrived in. It was freezing and the Phoenix must've melted the ice somehow and that gave him an idea.

"Natalie! I've got an idea." Veggie called down to her as he used his Supre Bajit Sword to aim at the bird and swung to throw him where the cold winter snow mountain was. The Phoenix screeched of the weakness of cold breeze and snow on him that he was ready to melt it until Veggie arrived just in time.

"KA...MEH...HA....MEH....HA!" He fired at the bird who was now dead in defeat from his attack that not a moment too soon that Veggie felt himself getting dizzy as he began to fall until Natalie came to the rescue and helped him in aid. 

Many hours have passed and Vegito awoken to find himself in a shack covered in a warm blanket, the fire place was running too to keep him warm, and it was already night.

"You're awake." Natalie said.

"Yeah. What happened?" He asked.

"It seems like you used a bit of too much of your energy to attack the Phoenix. Nevertheless, we did manage to save the towns people from that bird and its thanks too you. Now that your up I can heal you." Natalie said Veggie refused to be healed by her at any cost.

"I refuse. That fight was just not very-"

"Quit being a stubborn brat." Natalie cut him off as she placed her hand on his ape chest to heal him by recovering the scratches and marks that were on him.

"Y-You...Thank you. But, you didn't have to do that." Veggie remarked.

"Nonsense. You and I are like a team of some sort and I hope that you don't mind it all. It's getting late and we better head off on our journey. Goodnight Veggie." Natalie waved with a smile on her face before leaving his room as he felt his cheeks turn pink.

'Idiot! What the hell happened to me back there and not only that; why am I making myself get closer to Natalie? I already don't want to know what Turles or Vegito would do when it comes to women these days.' Veggie thought to himself as he lay back into the warm covers to fall asleep for tomorrows adventure he has with Natalie.

A cold heart is what Veggie would think as a joke for making him grow soft. Find out next time on Piggyback!
