Okay, so I'm not gonna say who said this, but this one person commented on this book that I don't even know the name of (I saw it on my message board and was too lazy to remember the title), but they said "BBRae is not canon!"

I dunno why this bugs me so much, but here is my rant about it.

Just because something isn't canon doesn't mean that it's not good! I mean, I personally have read stories with OCs as the main characters and they were great. But were said OCs canon? No, because they were made up.

I know that canon stuff is what is for sure in the fandom, but everything in the fandom might not be what you agree with.

For example, if BBTerra was canon (and we can thank our lucky stars it's not), then I bet no one would like that. But it's canon, so why not?

I bet that if you were to look, you could find some great rants about why BBRae is the best, and why most people ship it. I'm not going to go into detail, but you get the point.

I dunno why this got me so mad, but I just thought Hey, might as well make a chapter out of it!

But just think: if we only went along with what was canon, then half of the fanfictions wouldn't exist, because BBRae isn't canon. You get rid of an OTP, you get rid of a whole layer of attachment that people had with the series.

Okay, I kinda lied before. I will go into detail about why BBRae is awesome, even if it isn't canon.

Robin has Starfire, Cyborg has Bumblebee, and that leaves Raven and Beast Boy. And it's not like you aren't going to ship them, and here's why:

-They seem to like each other
-The only reason that Raven hasn't gotten into any sort of relationship is because of her emotions
-Who else are you going to ship Beast Boy with?
-All other Ravenxwhoever ships seem forced, and unlikely
-BBRae just seems right: she is the order to his chaos, he is the light to her dark. They fit together like puzzle pieces, and that's not something that you can just take away by saying that it isn't canon.
-As a brave satyr once said, "It's destiny, cupcakes!"
-You can't rush perfection, and even though BBRae aren't perfect, they're pretty darn close.
