But in all seriousness, clickbait is annoying. You click on a book that's called "Eternal Flame: the journey of a hero," and you get this:

lol jk its a story about a girl who gets kidnapped by this hot rich guy.

Seriously?

Okay, maybe you wanted to basically use a Trojan horse to make people read your book(which was an ingenious strategy), but if you need to clickbait people into reading your story, that probably means it's not very good.

I mean, there may be a couple of people who actually like that kind of story, and they might just skip over your book completely if they don't really know what it's about.

There might also be a few pity readers, who feel as if they have to read it to make the author feel better about themselves.

But generally, nobody likes clickbait. It's misleading, and usually really annoying.
