So uh-- Soldier (his name till I find something suitable to replace it) was an outlaw, holding a fairly heavy bounty that was practically hovering over his head decorated with a frenzy of flashing neon lights. Anyone with a brain knew who he was and anyone with half of one knew to keep out of his way.
Many have attempted to bring him in-- hell, who didn't need the extra cash- only to be found a week later, a mangled mess of a corpse out in the middle of no-man's land.
People eventually began ignoring the wanted posters or simply sighed as they gave it a thought but brushed it off as the risk was too large.
One man, however, who apparently either possessed balls of steel or hadn't had his head screwed on correctly, decided to pursue him, revenge for the loss of his younger brother running through his mind as he went on the long, tainting, journey.
It took a month, and what a horrible month it was. In Torchers (till I can find a better name) eyes, it was all worth it. He would finally avenge the only person he really, truly cared for. An amazing -no, exhilarating rush. The satisfaction he got from imagining the man that caused him sorrow contorting his face in pain and struggle as he slowly slit his neck with an unbearably dull knife was almost too much to handle. Torcher was sure, though, that the real thing would be far greater

-Second idea-
Soldier POV
---
I was completely immobile. Powerless against the water gripping me. Pulling me further, closer to its dark and mysterious depths.
It wasn't painful. Not anymore. My lungs that once screamed for air were now filled with the salty water of the sea. The limbs of mine that once flailed with fruitless attempts to get to surface were now still.
If it was a different predicament, this might have been relaxing. Sadly, that isn't the case.
I had accepted my fate.
Simon Henderson, death by water. What a way to go down. Don't think I could have thought of a better one.

"Daddy!" Jackie said, her arms extended out towards me. She swam, hopping into my lap and quickly making herself at home. I engulfed her in a hug, grinning like a fool.
"How's my baby girl doing," I said. She giggled and her tentacles wiggled along.
"I'm fine, moms being a big meany though." Jackie huffed.
I sigh and let her go, not too much later gripping her shoulders gently. "Your moms just stressed, hun. Don't be too hard on her."
I'm honestly worried about their relationship. I don't want it to go down in shambles, Jackie needs a connection with her mother. Not just me.
Jackie floats down onto the pebbles and gravel and seaweed of the ocean floor, soon starting to collect shells of different varieties.
"Hey, wait up princess, don't want ya' getting lost!"

THATS ALL I GOT- there's nothing left 😿
