Your Pov: Me and Poley have been best friends ever since our trainee years for police officer's, which has been 6 years. Now we are stuck at the police station with infected monsters waiting for us outside. We managed to lock and board up all the doors and windows so were fine....for now. We wanted to work late for extra money since we have been planning on going to a carnival or fair. I've had a crush on him for the 5 years of working as a police officer. And by the looks of it I could tell he probably liked me to, and what could be a more fun place to express my feelings than a carnival? But since the spread of the infection, it's unlikely for that to happen.

"Heya, earth to Y/N?" Poley said waving his hand in front of me. "Oh uh, sorry" "What was on your mind?" "Well uh, it's just...weve been in here for what seems like hours and I'm getting a little bored is all" "Bored huh? Well thats something I never hear you say, your never bored, anytime it gets boring you always find a way to make it fun. There must be something else your thinking about". I blushed a bit since I knew the truth was that I wanted to tell him my feelings but didn't know if it was a good time right now because of the infection. But he's acting like his everyday self. That's one of the things I love about him. He can always keep a positive attitude, even when something goes wrong, he can find a way to make people happy or laugh.

"So uh, you gonna tell me?". I snapped out of my thoughts again and stared at him nervously. "Well uh *sigh*, I...." I just took out a pencil and paper and wrote it down quickly sliding it over to him. He stared at the paper and looked at me with a smile. "Aww so you do have a little crush on me Y/N". I looked away shyly and he slightly laughed "J-just....shut up" I said a bit mad but in a cute way "I was gonna tell you next week once we went to the carnival, but that's obviously not gonna happen" I said sadly.

He slowly put a hand on my shoulder making me tense up "It's okay Y/N, once this is all over we will go to the carnival, I promise. And also, I'm not sure if this was obvious or not but, I like you too". I looked at him with a smile "Oh it was definitely obvious" "Wait really? How??" "Oh come on, I'm the only person that you talk to differently". He thought about it for a bit and agreed "You know what, your not wrong about that". We both laughed and slowly calmed. Then, he hugged me. My heart slightly skipped a beat but I hugged back with a smile.
