"Y/N Breakfast is ready!" I hear my mom say as she opened my bedroom door and stared at me. "Y/N, your not even dressed, get up! Today is the first day of your sophomore year and there is no way I'm driving you, I need to get to work". I gasped finally processing what she said and quickly got up looking around for clothes "Oh my god-oh my god!! Am I gonna be late?" "Well, no, but I'm gonna be late for work so promise me you'll make it to the bus". I nodded quickly not even understanding a word she said since I was in a rush. She sighed and closed my door getting ready to leave for work. "I left pancakes on the kitchen table for breakfast!" She said before leaving.

I changed before brushing my hair and putting my backpack on. I quickly went down stairs and had breakfast at the table. After I was done eating I checked my phone which....didnt have any messages. I sighed and turned my phone off before heading to the bus stop. Once I got there, I saw other kids talking to each other while waiting for the bus. I wished I had friends. Last year I found out that my best friend was a backstabbing bitch and only used me to increase her popularity. She spread one lie about me which turned into a rumor and everyone turned on me. I'll never forget about that piece of shit liar.

I gasped as I accidently bumped into someone. "Hay, woah there" he said as he turned around. He was a brown dog with a purple shirt and yellow eyes. I slightly blushed and got a bit nervous seeing I was the only human here. "O-oh, I'm sorry" "No no, no need for apologies, it's okay". I slightly smiled at his kindness but stopped as I heard his friend behind him "Well, you always happen to run into the ditzy people. Well in this case the ditzy person ran into you". "Shut up Foxy" Doggy protested. "Don't mind him, for some reason he's been really grumpy lately. But once you get to know him he's not so much of an ass" "Hay!" Foxy yelled causing Doggy to laugh. "Anyways uhh, I didn't catch your name" "Oh! I'm Y/N" "Nice to meet you Y/N, hay maybe you could sit next to us at lunch, maybe become friends with me and mister grumpy tail over there". Foxy slightly growled and looked away causing us to silently giggle.

The bus finally came and everyone started to slowly get on. I got some looks as I walked on since I was the only human here. 'Hopefully there's some other humans at school so I don't have to have eyes on me all the time' I thought as I sat in one of the backseats alone. I stared out of the window and sighed causing it to fog up. A few seconds someone sat next to me. I turned thinking it was Doggy but it wasn't "Hi I'm Daisy, whats your name?". She was a grey donkey with a white snout, a pink dress, and light red eyes. "Im Y/N" "Nice to meet you Y/N, maybe we can be friends?". I smiled and nodded accepting her request.

The bus finally started to drive once everyone was on. "So Y/N, do you have any friends?" "I used to, I don't wanna talk about them" I said with a slight sound of anger in my voice. "Oh, I see, you don't have to talk about it. I only have one friend, her name is Elly" "That's cool". For the rest of the ride we were silent. I noticed Doggy in the front of the bus looking back at me a few times, but I didn't really notice since I was on my phone for most of the time. I got a text from my mom asking if I made it to the bus which I of course replied with "Yes". She started to praise me by saying things like "I love you" and yada yada.

We finally got there as the bus stopped letting everyone out. I let out a shaky sigh as I made my way off the bus. The school I went to last year was equally filled with humans and animals, but now it's gonna be way different. "Hay Y/N, I'll see ya later, I gotta go find my friend" Daisy waved before running off. I looked around already feeling eyes on me. I quickly walked to the big building and went inside. I looked around and down the hall that was filled with kids and hallways. It was almost too much for me. I kept my head down as I walked through everyone.

There was no lockers which surprised me since my school had lockers. People barely used them tho. I froze as I saw Doggy and Foxy talking while walking towards me. I quickly leaned against the wall casually and kept my chill. "Hey Y/N, what classes do you have?" "Oh uh lemme check!" I said before taking out my schedule. "Ehh, Art, ELA, Math, SocialStudies, Lunch, Science, Dance, and Singing". Before Doggy could tell me his schedule, the bell rang. "See you at lunch?" He said with a smile. I nodded "Of course". And with that we all started to walk to our classes.

'Art class-art class' I repeated in my head trying to avoid any eye contact. I looked at the school map that I was given at the end of summer break and followed where I needed to go. I finally found it and walked inside. Most of the class was already there, and not to mention staring at me. "Just take a seat anywhere" said the art teacher. She was a dark brown horse with a tan tail, a white muzzle, brown eyes and a pale yellow dress. I looked over at an empty desk next to a female pig wearing a red dress. I shyly walked over and sat down next to her. She slightly looked over at me revealing her beautiful red eyes. Wait, theres no way im falling for a stranger that I looked at for only 5 seconds. I stared in awe. Im not so used to all the exotic eye colors that us humans don't have. She smiled at me somewhat confused. She opened her mouth to talk but got cut off by the teacher.

"Okay, you may call me Ms. H or Ms. Hailey. Now that we've got that settled, I'd like to see what some of you can do. So go ahead and take the time to draw your best with whatever your good at, there is paper up front if you need it. Tomorrow I will say the top 3 best pictures, that is if everyone isn't a baby about it. During that I'm going to be calling names so please listen". As she started calling names I got a bit nervous but calmed down. I heard the name "Penny" being called and heard the girl next to me say "Here!". I slightly looked at her and smiled. She smiled back. Shortly after, my name was called. I slightly stuttered but managed to say my name.

After the built up anxiety inside me calmed down I decided to maybe draw a fictional creature. The first thing that came to my mind was a dragon, so I started with that. I was pretty good with drawing dragons after all. After a while, I got curious so I slightly glanced over to see what Penny was drawing. She was drawing a dinosaur. No, a dinosaur pig? I squinted and noticed how good she was. She was as good as me. Yes, another great artist, would she like mine tho? Wait, why would that matter?

After a while the Teacher got everyone's attention and told us to bring our papers up front. Penny quickly looked at me "Do you think it looks good?". I looked surprised that she started talking to me but quickly nodded. "Yeah, I love it!". She smiled "Thanks! Yours is amazing too". I smiled and lightly blushed before we both went up front. Penny walked up to me again "Hey, Y/N was it?" "Yes" "Wanna be friends? We could trade numbers if you want". I got overjoyed and smiled "Really? Yes". We both gave each other our numbers and walked out as the bell rang. "I'll see you at lunch maybe!" Penny said before quickly walking off. I smiled but remembered Doggy wanted to sit next to me too. 'Well, I'll find a way to sit next to both of them'.

I went to ELA for my next class and walked in. I immediately saw Daisy and she waved at me tapping the seat next to her. I quickly walked over and sat down before taking my stuff out. The ELA teacher tapped her desk impatiently as everyone took there stuff out. I looked over at Daisy realizing she chose one of the desks up front "Did you really have to choose the front desk" "Sorry, the backseats were all taken". I sighed and looked up at the teacher as she cleared her throat. She was a grey donkey just like Daisy. They looked similar, I wouldn't be surprised if they were related. She also wore a purple dress with black and white stripes on it along with a gold necklace on her neck with a blue heart. She honestly looked like she hated her life. "I am Ms. Dixie, just say "here" when I call your name and we won't have to have any problems". 'Geez, was her class from last year that bad?'. Once everyone's names were called we got to work. Afterwards the bell rang and everyone packed up walking out.

I waved Daisy goodbye and quickly walked to my next class which was.......math....great. I sighed in annoyance and began to walk. Once I walked in there was a teacher with a happy face on. She was a gazelle and had a dark purple dress with yellow eyes and make-up. I sat down at a table with an orange cat wearing a light teal dress. Her eyes were a light red, similar to Daisy's. She looked at me and swayed her tail left to right slowly. She slightly purred before saying "Hello, and what's your name?" "Oh, Im Y/N, you?" "Kitty". We both looked towards the math teacher. "Hello students, I am Madame Gazelle, how are you all today?" She said in a french accent. Everyone slightly grumbled out random words like "good" and "ehh". "Great! Who here loves math?". Not one person raised their hand. The teacher laughed nervously "Well umm, anyways, time for all of your lovely names" and with that she called names and handed out work.

After an excruciating lesson of math the bell finally rang. I was the second one out the door as I headed off towards Social Studies. "Jesus christ can I please get something good after this" I said as I looked down at my schedule which read "Lunch". I smiled excitedly and put my schedule away as I walked to social studies. As I walked in I spotted a familiar face. It was Penny. I smiled and sat next to her. She smiled back and we began to talk. I barely even noticed that the teacher wasn't here.

After a while the teacher finally came in. "Hello students, I am so sorry I was late" he said before putting all his stuff down and sitting at his desk. He was a spotted hyena with glasses and a tie suit. Everyone stared confused as he sat down slightly out of breath and fixed his glasses. "I am Mr. Hills, lemme just get the attendance sheet out so I can call your names" he said a bit lowly as he looked for the paper. Me and Penny took this time to start a quick conversation. "Hay Y/N, do you have any friends, besides me?". I was about to say "no" but I remembered Doggy and Daisy. "Yes, but I've only known them for a day. Your the third person to become my friend". Penny smiled "I used to have a best friend, but we got into a fight and she turned on me". I widened my eyes in surprise "Wait, me too, my friend turned on me as well". Penny gave me a look of surprise "Well aren't we just soo similar". I nodded and we both giggled before the teacher looked bacm forward with the paper and started calling names.

A little while later into class I caught myself watching the clock. 'Just a few more mintutes and we can go to lunch' I thought as it slowly ticked by. After what seemed like forever the bell finally rang. Me and Penny smiled at each other before walking side by side towards lunch.
