Katherine Valentine is a main character on Legacies. She the daughter of New Orleans witch Antionette Valentine, and a close friend of Davina Claire's.

EARLY HISTORY

Katherine was born and raised in New Orleans, experiencing the highs and lows of the three species of supernatural creatures relationships. Her mother was a close alli of the Mikaelsons.

Katherines sister, Rayna, moved out of state with Lucas's grandfather when Katherine was just ten years old, the two never really being close despite their close ages.

As Katherine grew up, she befriended Harvest Witch, Davina Claire. The two shared a crush of mortal boy, Tim, but he only had eyes for Katherine. The two were chosen for the Harvest, and the two were saved by Marcel Gerard, and Katherines mother.

However, she learned her mother wasn't as innocent as she once believed. Her mother was not only cheating on her father, but using black magic to try to help Dahlia, the sister of Esther Mikaelson, with her schemes. Betraying their family friends. Petrified, Katherine ran to her dear friend, Marcel for help. She rambles about her life, how she didn't want to be around her family and their horrible ways any longer. She didn't want to be a witch. She hardly wanted to live past the age of 17. Marcel slipped his blood in her drink, just to be safe if she made any mistakes. Katherine committed suicide that night.

When she woke up, she was petrified to discover not only wasn't she dead, but she was undead. Katherine ran to her mother, who tried to stake her. Her mother cursed her to die seventeen years after being a vampire. Until those seventeen years are up, Katherine Valentine will remain unkillable. Horrifie, Katherine killed her mother. Lucas killed himself in the horror of his daughter slaughtering his wife.

The first time Katherine was killed was by Kol Mikaelson. She found out who he was when he was possessing Kaleb Westphall, a witch boy she had been toying with for months at some point, but he had been Kol all along. He felt a similar way towards Katherine, but only assumed she was human. When he realized she was a vampire, he staked her, and believed he had killed her. However, he had not. When Kol ended up dying as Kaleb, Katherine ripped his heart out to end his pain sooner.

Katherine, learning how to be a vampire, had a ripper-like frenzy before attending the Salvatore school. She traveled all the way to Virginia, feeding off young men and women before attempting to attack Liam Davis, who didn't know she was a vampire. This, of course didn't last long either. She eventually went to Whitmore college where she met Matt Donovan and his friends when he was visiting for a party. There, her and Matt shared a bond, and a romance, nobody had seen before. They were each others happiness, and she was the only exception for his hatred of vampires. After a few years, Katherine returned to New Orleans for Marcel and Davina, assisting them in anyway she could.

Alaric Saltzman recruited Katherine years later, he discovered she was much like old enemy, Katherine Pierce. She didn't care who she had to hurt to get what she wanted. Which, at the time, was Roman Sienna's head on a stick. She was set on her rampage, when Alaric snapped her neck.

The fifth and final time she was killed was when the Saltzman twins were 13, and needed their magic abilities to do a spell for the Mikaelsons. Katherine, who had been on one of her recent ripper-like antics, was their only option, and she was subdued until she resurrected.

PERSONALITY

Katherine is spunky, and selfish. Often she is described as independent, clever, and feisty. Her pride is one of her greatest strengths and weaknesses.

Katherine is highly intelligent and a very analytical individual. She's a quick thinker and is ready to hop into any situation, no matter the consequences. Katherine is often described as the type of girl ready to leave you in the dust when things go wrong, and will use you until no longer needed. Part of the reason she is the way she is, is because she knows she cannot die. Until her 15 years are up, she's unstoppable. She feels as if she owes nothing to anyone, except herself.

POWERS AND ABILITIES

Katherine before being turned had all the normal abilities of being a mortal witch. She has few moments of explaining what she used to do; but most can assume she was chosen to be a Harvest Witch along side Davina Claire before being turned. Many theorize if she remained a mortal witch, she'd be just as or more powerful as Davina.

Katherine has possessed all the normal powers and abilities as a non-original vampire. Though only 32 in mortal years, she has shown her immense skills in fighting. In The Originals, she was able to take down Rebekah Mikaelson in a mere punch.
