FIVE
Neverland
Four years ago
Pan was leading Eve to the treehouse, which was located just outside of camp. An eerie silence filled the air as they walked and something caught Eve's eye.
One lone, tiny orange flower, sprouted out of the ground. It's colour contrasting with the black earth. She stopped walking and bent down to examine its beauty.
The tips of it were a bright red colour, intensifying its beauty.
"Such a beautiful thing in such an ugly place." She whispered quietly.
A twinkling noise sounded from the flower, causing Eve to jump a. She sat completely still for a moment, until she heard the twinkling noise again.
She moved her finger to the flower and poked it and out came a tiny gold puff of dust.
The tiny gold thing floated towards Eve and landed on her hand. What she saw next was the most beautiful sight. A small woman, about the size of her pinky, with blonde hair and a green dress, was sitting on her palm.
"H-hello? Are you a fairy?" Eve asked.
The little figure nodded.
"What's your name?" She asked the creature. The fairy shook her head and spun around, suddenly she appeared next to Eve.
"My names Tinkerbell, but you can call me Tink. Who are you?" Tink asked.
"Evangeline."
"How did you get here?"
"Pan."
"That bloody bastard. Another poor, innocent soul on this dammed island." She said sourly.
"I've known him for a while. It's a long story and-".
"Bloody hell Eve what are you doing?" Pan interrupted irritatedly as he stalked around the corner, he must have kept walking on. His eyes met Tink's and his face filled with anger.
"What are you doing with MY lost girl?" He asked Tink.
"None of your business." Tink snarls.
Pan stalks over to her but Eve moves to stand in front of them.
"Talking. We were just talking." Eve snapped. Tink took the opportunity to reach out and wrap her arm around Eve, pulling her backwards. Eve yelped as Tink rested her dagger against her chest.
Eve's eyes clouded with confusion. "Aren't fairies suppose to be nice?" She snapped and noticed that Pan was watching in amusement.
Tink smirked. "I don't want Pan to have you. He obviously wants you so that means your valuable."
"You little-"
Pan interjected. "As interesting as this is I want my lost girl back Tink." He snarled, his hand reaching down to rest on his dagger.
"You can have her, but I want something in return, a favour if you will."
Pan's jaw twitched and his fingers gripped his dagger. "Grant me passage on and off the island, let me come and go as I please." Tink paused, gently running the dagger against Eve's neck. "And she remains unharmed."
Pan growled but reluctantly released the grip on his dagger. "Fine." He snarled.
"She's all yours." Tink laughed and threw Eve towards Pan. She turned to scold the fairy but Tink had already disappeared.
Pan and Eve were left standing in the middle of the path. He cocked his eyebrow as if to say 'you really thought she would help you?'
Eve needed to find someone, someone who would be willing to help her. A chuckle escapes Pan's lips.
"Oh my dear Evangeline, no one will save you, not if it means going against me."
Eve kept her expression neutral, but her heart sunk. He was right. No one was coming to save her.
"Now come on." He snarls and drags Eve along by her arm. She winced when his nails dug into her skin. Eventually they reached a treehouse.
"Climb." Pan instructs. Eve slowly makes her way up the ladder and into the treehouse. The is a lone bed in the middle of the room and a single chest of drawers, adorned with jars and potions atop.
Eve feels Pan's eyes on her, staring from afar. Sbe can feel his evil grin and tranquil eyes watching her every move. She turns to face him, his smug face continuing to show.
"What do you want with me?"
"I want the same thing you want dearest....me." Pan says smugly.
"Don't be ridiculous, I want nothing to do with you." Eve snapped.
"My dear girl, I have more of your heart than you care to admit." Pan whispers in her ear.
"You have none of my heart, nor will you ever."
Pan chuckled lightly, his hands reaching out and wrapping around Eve's chin. "I will win your heart, no matter how long it takes. And if you refuse, I will have no issue with taking it forcefully." He released his grip on her chin, allowing her to slump to the ground. Pan turned and walked to the tree house door, pausing in the doorway before he left.
"Welcome to Neverland."
