Beauty

Eyes open

On morning's arrival

Another day

Another grind against

Wheels and deals

Bustling

Complaining

Coffee drinking

For coins few

But coins precious

Then

Regurgitated shows

That show

Fresh ideas are as few

As our earned coins

And sleep

Fitful

Broken

Too short

And repeat

And repeat

The monotony of life

Is invisible

On the inside

Trapped

Life disguises itself

To our eyes

It is all

It is everything

Close eyes

Breathe

Then

See beyond

See fields driven past

To the point of nonexistence

See children playing

Laughing

See flora, see fauna

See the sun's fingers

Streaming through clouds

To touch

The ground

To touch

Us

See beauty

Do you see the world around you? So many people don't. They have the daily grind of work, TV and bad sleep, and think that's all there is. They are blinded to so many things.

For example. I live in a picturesque part of the country and work around fifteen miles from home. On the journey, I invariably pass groups of children going to school. Once I leave town, the motorway cuts through lush fields of green and yellow. There's birds. The odd horse.
And most people don't notice it at all. They drive along the road with their blinkered eyes staring straight ahead, not even noticing what surrounds them.

Life can be a grind. We just have to look beyond what we see. Not even very far. The world - life itself - can be beautiful, if you could only look.

Of course, right now, we're confined due to the Coronavirus pandemic. This makes it very difficult to be able to see beauty in despair and boredom and worry. It's still there. You'll still get to see it. Perhaps you already can, if you look.

Stay safe, my friends. Stay safe and stay well.
