2.

I'd rather get cut by little knives,
That'll make cuts as large as the pain you inflict on me
When you shrink me down past my size
And say that I cannot end your imminent demise
Into the darkness of your mind.

I'd rather drown, in a sea of nails,
Than look and see your face turn pale
From the ache of self blame and self destruction.

I'd rather be sick than blink back tears
And smile when your words pierce holes into my heart,
Let loose all my fears.

You say you'd rather us be torn apart
Than let me stay next to your bleeding heart.
You have no idea what importance
I put on your exceeding permanence
In my life all the time.

And how much it hurts when you say no one cares
While I'm right here
But apparently not there for you at the time.

I'd rather be silent when you scream
So I can listen in silent pain.

I'd rather be sad,
Than leave you alone
Because you're my someone
You're my blessing.

I'd rather,
Hear you say yes
When you say no,
And hear you say no
When you mean yes.

I'd rather,
Stand in the frozen water, in falling snow
Than watch you stand off in the cold,
Freezing to death in the rain
While clinging tightly to your pain.

I'd rather not be yours,
And see you happy with someone.

I'd rather die,
And leave you left alone
If only you'd be happy again
And come to my funeral.

This should be the last time I write awfully depressing poems
But yeah I'll post one more and end this book
