Jimin's POV

I woke up with a giant smile upon my face.

For once I didn't dream about those haunting memories I made with Yoongi. 

Instead my mind was heavily preoccupied with thoughts of Taehyung; the dream man I met last night.

I quickly got out of bed still in pajamas while making my way back inside Hayoon and Jungkook's actual house.

"Oh finally you're awake, I need to talk to you about what happened with the bartender-" Jungkook started saying quickly while following me to the bench where I grabbed a bowl from a cupboard.

"I know, you got his number for me. Can I please have it?" I asked turning to look at Jungkook.

He blinked a couple times.

"How do you know I have his number?" Jungkook gasped.

"I saw him down by the beach yesterday night and he told me about giving you his number for me." I explained looking at Jungkook's gorgeous brown eyes, his hair a mess on top of his head.

His body was close to mine as his arm rested either side of me on the bench.

"Did he say anything else last night?" Jungkook wondered.

"We talked a bit. Lot's of small talk that didn't come to many conclusions," I started to say as I looked back at my coffee while I tipped some coffee powder into a cup for myself.

"He's really dreamy." I continued with a bright smile on my face while I poured the boiled water into my cup.

"Man, I don't think I've seen you smile that wide for ages." Jungkook said in an excited tone.

I giggled while mixing the coffee and hot steaming water in my cup as wafts of strong coffee rose out of the cup.

~ Flashback ~

Omniscient POV

"Do you have an off site bottle license?" Jimin asked Taehyung while he kept his eyes on Jungkook angrily.

"Yes." Taehyung replied slowly.

"Great." Jimin mumbled while grabbing his bottle of Soju before heading towards the see-through door to leave the beach bar.

"Jimin!" Jungkook called out as Jimin kept walking through the door.

"Jimin!" Jungkook shouted out again, turning to the door to see Jimin had already left the bar.

"Darn it." Jungkook grumbled under his breath.

"He seems feisty." Taehyung gasped as Jungkook turned to look back at him.

"That's one way to put it. I'm so sorry about him." Jungkook told Taehyung feeling slightly deflated with his attempts to find his best friend a suitable boyfriend.

"Psh, sorry for what? I've never seen someone so shy but yet so fiery at the same time and I've been looking at guys for a while." Taehyung muttered sitting down where Jimin was sitting.

Taehyung placed his large hands on the table as though he had more to say and more to hear from Jungkook about his mysterious crush that just stormed out the bar door.

Jungkook's eyes widened.

"Wait, you liked what he just did?" Jungkook wondered, waving his hands in the air while Hayoon shared his exact expression; there mouth hanging agape.

"God yes, it was weirdly attractive. Like it was mildly cute but then it also showed his gutsy personality." Taehyung responded.

Jungkook turned to Hayoon high fiving her happily.

"Well he's all yours if you want, we are here only on a holiday for a week but Jimin used to spend a lot of time in Boryeong-si so he's probably a better option of a long term ideal tourist for loving company then the rest of the people you'd meet in here." Jungkook explained turning back to Taehyung.

Taehyung nodded.

"Honestly a lot of people who come in here are attractive but don't have the personality I'm looking for. I kind of thought maybe my hopes were too high but that dude, you said his name was Jimin, correct?" Taehyung paused to ask.

"Yes Jimin." Hayoon said with a nod.

"Well Jimin definitely has that something I've been searching for." Taehyung exclaimed.

"Here, take my number to give to him." Taehyung stated grabbing a napkin to write his name and number onto.

"Taehyung! Your shift isn't over so you shouldn't be resting!" Taehyung's boss called over the bar.

"Sorry I have to go." Taehyung said passing the napkin over to Jungkook with a warm smile before disappearing away from their table.

~ End of Flashback ~

Jimin's POV

I sat down with my cereal as Jungkook sat opposite me, watching me intensely.

"Why are you looking at me like that Kook?" I wondered aloud before sipping my coffee.

"Um, you just look so happy. It's so rare to see but so lovely to witness." Jungkook mumbled resting his head in one of his hands as Hayoon walked in.

"Baby come put some aloe vera on your burned face." Hayoon suggested patting his shoulders when she stood behind him in a silky pastel pink dressing gown.

"In a bit, I just want to watch Jimin be happy for a bit longer." Jungkook stated staring at me.

I spat out my cereal in shock of how weird he's acting before blinking as I looked back at him.

"Well that's attractive." Hayoon said now looking at me.

I poked my tongue out at her while she rolled her eyes walking away.

"Just like I have a 26 year old kid." I heard her mumble under her breath.

"He will be happy again Jungkook if he's going out with him today, come put some aloe vera on your face please so it doesn't start to peel." Hayoon demanded walking down the hallway of the house.

Jungkook stood up sighing.

"Can I have Taehyung's number before you go?" I questioned Jungkook.

My heart raced as I let his name roll off my tongue for the first time.

"Most definitely." Jungkook said grinning as he grabbed a napkin off the bench before placing it in front of me then heading out of the room.

My heart skipped a beat seeing handwriting I haven't seen before; he must have written on the napkin.

I grinned reading his name and then his number.

Then I felt my cheeks heat up as I saw a little heart after his number.

I quickly grabbed my phone from where I was charging it to send him a text.

9:34am

Hi, this is Jimin

Then I put my phone down to finish my cereal as I waited for a response.

I almost squealed seeing my phone light up a minute later.

As I unlocked my phone I couldn't help the butterflies that were erupting inside my stomach.

9:35am

Oh great you texted! I thought I was gonna have to show up at work for a bit...

Meet me at the beach where I saw you last night at 10am.

Wear clothes you can go into the ocean in and bring casual spare clothes to put on after ;)

I got up dancing around in pajamas, a massive smile glued to my lips.

"He even sent a winky face." I coed to myself quietly.

I grabbed my bowl and stuck it in the sink, then ran out too the sleep out to get dressed.

Thank you for reminding me what butterflies feel like...

AU - Ahhh I love writing chapters where I can just play up the characters by showing like Jungkooks interest in his best friends life and how he feels beyond the moon to see his friend so happy. Plus I love writing characters that are a bit love sick or like super excited to go on dates... Kind of makes me wish I felt that way again but eh it's okay lmao. I hope you enjoyed this chapter :D
