Part 4

My paradise was far from complete, yet it was a start. I'd gathered up all of the Flare members who wanted to avenge their leader; even convinced the police to let Xerosic go. Knowing me, the people would trust in me to lead them once more. Together, we'd blasted through the rubble and entered the building. The lights had gone completely out at the time of the explosion, making it hard to tread anywhere, due to the glass spread out onto the floor. Dirt had covered the once-white walls, coloring them with an unnerving shade. The foul stench of a grim fate had made itself clear; the smell of decaying corpses that were unable to be found during the rescue operation. The horrible reminder of a love that had long since died.

Pyroar trotted beside me, despite the fact he was scared to be back here. This was the place his master met his eventual demise; the place hundreds of lives were lost. And all of them had been his friends. I'm nervous to be back here, as well. If I'm not mistaken, this place is still highly unstable, worn over the years, plus still recoiling from when the weapon was buried under the ground once more.

Approaching the area downstairs, shattered windows littered the floor. A dark, red glow emanated from the room, some sort of machine humming. Yveltal had been captured long ago, but it was still on. Even after four years. By that time I knew what I'd have to choose between: Continuing his plans and finally avenging him, or somehow reviving him. If I continued his plans, I'd have to destroy everything I ever loved. But if I revived him, he'd have to live in constant pain. I then knew what I had to do.

The legend of the Pokémon of life. It transform into a tree when its life is over, starting anew every thousand years. I know that somewhere in the woods, it's alive again, but only for a short amount of time. This is the beginning of a new age. This is Project X.
