Twenty

Cas woke up and rolled over to look at Dean and kissed him lightly on the forehead. He hadn't intended to wake Dean up, but his eyes fluttered open.

"Hello beautiful," Dean said.

"Good morning Dean," Cas replied. Dean kissed Cas and Cas snuggled closer to him, hearing his heartbeat. It had been several years since Cas had gotten his memory back. It had taken him a bit of time to get over the Angel thing, but he'd gotten past it eventually. Gabriel had, in the end, never gotten Sam to succumb to the internal gayness that Gabe believed was there, although there were several times Cas thought he'd been close. Charlie was still out living life and partying, but Cas believed that one day she'd find a nice girl and settle down. Everyone still got together every now and then, to eat and catch up. Cas was happy.

"How much longer do you think we have?" Dean asked.

"You know she can sense it. We've got two minutes, tops," Cas said. But Cas was wrong, because just then-

"Daddy!" A small bundle of excitement rocketed into their bed.

"Hey princess!" Dean exclaimed as he and Cas sat up.

"Good morning Mary," Cas said, kissing his daughter on the head.

"I want breakfast! Daddy, will you make pancakes?" Mary asked. Dean smiled.

"Of course I will. C'mon," he said, standing up and leading Mary into the kitchen. Cas followed, smiling. He hadn't thought he could love anyone or anything as much as he loved Dean, but then they'd gotten Mary. She was amazing, and Dean was amazing with her.

"Will you help me make the pancakes, princess?" Dean asked. Mary grinned.

"Of course Daddy!" She said. Cas sat at the table.

"I'll just sit here and leave my baking geniuses to work," he said. Mary giggled.

"Yeah, maybe that's best," Dean said with a smile. So Cas watched his husband and his daughter, the loves of his life, as they made pancakes together. Cas wished he could stay like this forever.
