CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE, fast times at bayview high
(violet's outfit for this part of the chapter)
Violet found out that CJ and Steve didn't end up getting married and that Matt had asked DJ to marry him but she said no. And it was all because DJ and Steve realized they still had feelings for each other. Violet couldn't believe how much they missed out on while they were gone and she felt bad for missing the wedding. Though it turns out there wasn't a wedding to miss anyway.
But summer was ending too fast and the beginning of freshmen year of high school was just around the corner. Violet was nervous and anxious about the first day.
She was in her room with Jackson, sitting on her bed, watching a movie on her laptop. He had his arm wrapped around her and she rested her head on his shoulder, her arm resting on his stomach. His fingers lightly traced circles on her arm, causing goosebumps to appear. She sighed contently.
"Summer's ending." She murmurs. "It feels like it's been so short."
"It has. I can't believe we're starting high school. I'm really excited." Jackson replies, smiling. "Kinda nervous. But I'm sure we'll have lots of fun."
"Yeah. You're gonna play on the football team, right? You're gonna have so much fun." Violet says, smiling. "I'm not sure if I'll join any clubs yet, though." She admits with a shrug. "Maybe band. I'll have to think about it."
"I'm sure you would be great at band. You're so talented. I mean, your songs have been really popular lately. I think it helps you got your songs out on Spotify." Jackson said, making her blush. "You're amazing. I don't know why you still doubt yourself."
Violet shrugs, smiling. "Thanks, babe. But I still have a long way to go before I can really say I'm a musician." She points out. "Maybe one day."
"One day, you'll be a big star." Jackson tells her. "You'll be so famous. People will know who you are. I'll get to brag to everyone my girlfriend is the famous Violet Sullivan." He teased.
"Shut up." She lightly punches him. "I could never be that famous." Her face flushed, flattered by his praise. It meant a lot to her he thought she was going to be a famous musician.
"I bet you will." He grinned, reaching up to cup her face and leaned in to kiss her. She smiled against his lips, her hand moving up to cup his face. Every time they kissed, she felt butterflies. She didn't know if she'd ever get over that feeling. She hoped she never would.
Jackson felt his heart race when she cupped his face. He leaned into her touch. Kissing her always felt like fireworks, he didn't know how else to explain it. He had never experienced something like this with anyone before. He could only imagine what his future would be like with her. He had a good feeling it would be amazing.
Violet smiles when they pulled apart, both breathing a bit heavy. She laid her head back on his shoulder, his arm wrapping back around her. They cuddle in a comfortable silence, the only noise coming from the movie playing.
She was so thankful for him, her boyfriend. Her best friend. She didn't know what she would do without him. She was ready for whatever the new school year brought her. So long as she had Jackson by her side she knew everything would be okay.

It was finally the first day of high school and Violet was extremely nervous. She had woken up to her alarm and quickly got out of bed, excited but also anxious about her first day of school. She took a quick shower, brushed her teeth and then fixed her hair, leaving it down. She had picked out her clothes the night before, so she got dressed and grabbed her phone and backpack before she went next door.
She entered the living room, not bothering to announce herself as she noticed one of Jackson's friend, Mankowski, was there. "Morning, guys. What's up?" She greeted, smiling.
"Mornin', Vi. Mankowski came by to get some breakfast with us before we left." Jackson explained.
"Cool. How was your summer, Manko?" Violet questioned, smiling at the red-haired boy. She gave him a nickname because he had a long name and he wasn't bothered by it. He actually liked it.
"Great. It's always nice to be out of school for a while. What about you? I see you and Jackson are still dating. That's awesome." Mankowski said.
"We are. We had a really fun time in Japan." Violet admits, blushing a little. "Oh, speaking of that, can you keep us dating a secret? We don't want anyone in school to know."
Jackson nods. "Yeah, please don't tell anyone." He agreed.
"Sure, but why are you keeping it a secret? You guys are so cute together." Mankowski wonders.
"It's just that we want to keep things low-key for now. High school can be a little dramatic, and we don't want everyone in our business." Violet explained, glancing at Jackson, who nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, we just want to enjoy our time together without any unnecessary attention." Jackson added, smiling softly at her.
Mankowski shrugs, understanding. "Fair enough. Your secret's safe with me. But honestly, I think people would be happy for you two."
Violet smiles gratefully. "Thanks, Manko. And eventually we'll tell everyone, we just want some privacy. At least for now."
Jackson nods in agreement. "Yeah, thanks." He said, smiling.
Mankowski smiles, nodding. "No problem."
The trio head into the kitchen where DJ and Kimmy were at. "Mankowski stopped by for some bacon." Jackson revealed.
"And to say hi to my favorite mom." Mankowski admits, smiling as he walked over to DJ. "I'll meet a lot of new girls in high school, but they'll mean nothing to me."
DJ chuckles nervously. "Well, I'm flattered. And uncomfortable." Jackson patted Mankowski on the shoulder and the trio went over to grab some bacon as Ramona and Lola had walked down the stairs. The two girls had a sleepover last night and they did invited Violet, but she politely declined. She knew Ramona and Lola were more close than she ever was with Lola and she didn't want to get in the way of their bonding time. After Lola said a farewell for good since she was moving, it was time to head to school.
"Well, time to go." Ramona smiled.
"Hey, since your other BFF is gone...You can hang out with us." Jackson offered Ramona.
Mankowski reveals he had used two pieces of bacon in his mouth as if they were walrus teeth. Violet chuckles a little and rolls her eyes. "You can hang out with just me too." Violet chimes in, knowing that the boys could be a little rowdy sometimes. "If you ever need some girl time, you know where to find me." She said and smiled warmly at Ramona.
Ramona chuckles and smiles, appreciating the offer. "Thanks, Vi. I'll definitely take you up on that. But I'm trying out for the dance team which I'll obviously make which means I'll have a whole new squad of friends by lunch."
"Oh, my baby girl is starting high school." Kimmy cooed while hugging her daughter.
"Oh, and so is my baby boy!" DJ commented and went to hug Jackson, but before she could, Mankowski snuck in and hugged her instead. Violet chuckled, sharing an amused look with Jackson.
"It's okay, I'm here for you." Mankowski assured DJ, who awkwardly smiled.

Violet decided to try out for the band since she loved music and she had been practicing the drums. She knew it would be a lot of work and it made her nervous, but she couldn't resist the pull of her passion for music. As they arrived at school, Violet glanced at Jackson, who gave her an encouraging smile.
"You'll be great." He whispered, squeezing her hand before letting go as they walked through the crowded entrance.
The first day was buzzing with energy, students rushing to find their classes and meet new friends. Violet felt the nerves in her stomach again, but Jackson's steady presence calmed her. Thankfully most of her classes she shared with Jackson and her friends which was great so then at least she knew someone in her classes. but knew deep down that it was something she had to do. Music was her passion, and she couldn't let her nerves stop her from pursuing it. As they made their way through the bustling hallways, Violet spotted the band room sign. Her heart raced, but Jackson's reassuring smile gave her the push she needed.
"You got this, Vi. I'll meet you here after class, okay?" He told her, smiling.
"Okay, I'll see you soon." She replied, returning his smile.
As Jackson went to his own class, Violet entered the band room, noticing some other students were already there. Inside, the atmosphere was lively, with instruments being tuned and students chatting excitedly. Violet felt a surge of anticipation. She found a spot near the back, feeling a bit out of place, but quickly set her drumsticks on the music stand in front of her along with her folder. She always wanted to be in band in school. She thought it was so cool. She knew some people didn't think being in band was cool, but she did. She loved music and learning about it and trying new instruments. She had been planning on learning the drums for awhile so this was perfect. She finally had an excuse to do so.
She looked around the room, not noticing anyone she knew. Some of the students were chatting with each other, clearly familiar with each other. Others were tuning their instruments or looking at the sheet music. The energy in the room was electric, and Violet could feel the excitement. But she felt out of place too and wasn't sure if she would fit in. She took a deep breath and reminded herself why she was there—her love for music and her desire to be part of something she was passionate about.
As she started to get settled, a friendly voice interrupted her thoughts.
"Hey, are you new here?" A girl with curly hair and a bright smile asked, walking over to Violet.
"Yeah, I am," Violet admits, smiling back. "Uh, I'm a freshman. My name is Violet."
"Cool! I'm a junior, so I'll help you out if you have any questions. My name is Hartley." Hartley said, sitting on the empty seat next to Violet. "I'm in the percussion section too which I think is the best. I might be a little biased, but it's true!" She laughs, her enthusiasm infectious. "What kind of drumming have you done before? Do you play any other instruments?" She asked curiously.
Violet felt a bit more at ease with Hartley's friendly demeanor. "I've been practicing drums on my own for a while, and I play ukulele and piano-"
"Hold on, aren't you that girl who sang that song 'White Flag' that went viral and was, like, an overnight sensation?" Hartley gasped.
Violet's cheeks flushes with surprise and hoped tried not to stammer because of her nerves. "Yeah, that's me. I, um, I didn't think many people would know about that here."
Hartley's eyes widens in disbelief. "Dude, are you kidding? That song was everywhere! I had no idea you were the same Violet. That's so awesome!" Hartley exclaimed, her excitement evident.
Violet couldn't help but smile, feeling a bit of her nervousness melt away. "Thanks! I didn't really think it would follow me here."
Hartley grins and gave her a reassuring pat on the back. "Well, it definitely did. I'm sure everyone's gonna love you, and not just because of your song. You seem like a really cool person."
"Aww, thank you, Hartley." Violet said, feeling flattered. She couldn't help but feel a bit more confident with Hartley's kind words. It was nice to know that her music had made an impact and that she was already making friends in the band room. As Violet and Hartley chatted, other students began to gather around, and the room filled with a buzz of anticipation. Hartley introduced Violet to a few more people in the percussion section, and Violet started to feel a little more at home. The band director soon walked into the room, announcing the beginning of the class.
As the band director entered the room, the energy in the room shifted. Everyone quieted down and took their seats, ready to begin. Violet could feel her heart pounding in her chest, but with Hartley by her side and the friendly atmosphere, she felt a little more at ease. The director gave a quick introduction and then immediately launched into warm-ups, allowing everyone to get used to playing together.
Violet picked up her drumsticks, focusing on the rhythm. As they worked through scales and simple rhythms, she found herself falling into the familiar comfort of playing music. The nervousness she had felt earlier seemed to fade away as she became absorbed in the sound of the percussion section around her.
Hartley leans over during a brief break and whispered, "You're doing great, Violet. It looks like you've been drumming for years!"
Violet smiles shyly. "Thanks! It's a lot of fun, and you guys are making it easier for me to settle in."
Before she knew it, the class had come to an end. Violet felt a sense of accomplishment — she had made it through her first day in the band, and even though there were still many challenges ahead, she knew she could handle it. As she packed up her things, Hartley gave her a friendly nudge.
"So, how about we grab lunch with a few of the others? It's a great way to meet more people, and we can talk more about band stuff if you want."
"Oh, uh, I actually was going to sit with my other friends..." Violet hesitates, glancing towards the door where she was meeting Jackson as she bit her lip. She felt bad for leaving Hartley and the others, but she also wanted to stick to her plans with Jackson. Hartley noticed her hesitation and gave a reassuring smile.
"No worries, Violet," Hartley says assumingly. "If you want, you can join us another day. Just let me know when you're free. It was really nice meeting you, and I'm looking forward to seeing you around."
Violet felt a wave of relief. "Thanks, Hartley. I'd love to join you guys sometime. See you around."
She left the band room with a smile, feeling good about her first day in high school. Jackson was leaned against the wall, waiting for her just like he said he would be at the end of class. Her heart fluttered as she approached him. The familiar warmth of his smile made her feel even more at ease.
"How was band?" Jackson asked as he walked alongside her.
"It was great! I met this really friendly girl named Hartley. She's in the percussion section too and was super welcoming. I think I'm going to enjoy it, Jax." Violet replied, her excitement evident.
Jackson grins. "I'm glad to hear that. I knew you would be fine." He nudged her shoulder playfully. She giggled and smiled at him, linking her arm with his as they head down the hallway to lunch.
They meet up with Mankowski and Rocki, who Violet shared a few classes with as well which she was happy about. The three of them chatted as they walked to the cafeteria, catching up on their summer break and sharing their initial impressions of high school. "Just try not to embarrass yourself on your first day." Rocki advises once they all had got their food on their trays and were going to sit down. "If you start off a dork, you'll graduate a dork."
"Don't worry, I'll play it real cool. Because someday I'm gonna rule this sch-" Jackson suddenly slipped on something and yelled as he fell, dropping everything on his tray. Laughter and snickers filled the room and Violet grimaced, sharing a look with Rocki. This wasn't good.
"Dude, you just slipped on a piece of mayonnaise-slathered baloney. Awesome!" Mankowski commented.
"Jackson Fuller, do not move!" Mr. Byenberg called out, rushing over to the crowd that was forming around Jackson, who was still on the floor. Violet cringed when Mr. Bynberg put orange traffic cones around Jackson. She glanced around at everyone to see everyone was recording this moment. This wasn't good at all. "It appears you have slipped on a piece of mayonnaise-slathered baloney. Hold that." He handed the baloney to Mankowski, who grimaced.
"Mr. Bynberg, I-I'm fine, really." Jackson stammered, eyes widening when he suddenly put on a neck brace. Why did the teacher do that when Jackson wasn't hurt at all? Violet had no idea.
"Remain prone...Until the school nurse can assess you." Mr. Byenberg told him and had him lay down.
Rocki grimaces after checking her phone. "Aw, man. 'Baloney Boy' is already trending."
"Jackson, hold this." Mankowski hands the baloney to Jackson and held up a selfie stick he suddenly had with his phone attached to it. "Everyone say 'Baloney Boy'!" Everyone gathered around to get into the frame, even Violet knelt by Rocki, sympathetically smiling to Jackson after the picture was taken. This was definitely not a great start to Jackson's high school experience. Violet felt a mix of embarrassment and sympathy for her boyfriend's first day of high school. The last thing she wanted was for Jackson to feel humiliated, especially on his first day. She just hoped that somehow, things would get better for him.

That night Violet had changed into comfy pajamas and was relaxing on her bed, still feeling a mix of emotions from the day's events. She had called Jackson to check in and offer some comfort. They talked about the incident, with Jackson trying to make light of it, though Violet could hear a hint of frustration in his voice.
"Well, at least you're trending," Violet said, trying to sound cheerful. "It's not every day you get a nickname like 'Baloney Boy.'"
Jackson laughs, though it sounded a bit forced. "Yeah, I guess. But it's just a stupid nickname. I don't want people to see me like that, y'know?"
"I know, Jackson. But I'm sure it'll blow over soon, and everyone will forget about it." Violet assures him, wanting him to know that he wasn't alone in this. "Besides, I'll always see you as Jackson, the guy who makes me smile, the guy I care a lot about, not 'Baloney Boy.'"
Jackson's face softens and he smiles fondly at her. "Thanks, Violet. That means a lot. I just wish things had gone a bit smoother today."
Violet nodded, even though he couldn't see her. "I understand. But hey, at least you have a great story to tell now. And tomorrow is a new day. Maybe things will start looking up."
"Yeah, I hope so," Jackson said, sounding a bit more hopeful. "Thanks for listening, Violet. I'm glad I have you."
Violet's heart swelled with affection. "I'm glad I have you too. And no matter what happens, I'll be here for you. I promise."
As they hung up, Violet felt a surge of determination. She knew she couldn't fix Jackson's problems for him, but she could be there for him and help him through them. She knew it wouldn't be easy, but she was willing to do whatever it took to support her boyfriend. After all, he had been there for her during her lowest moments, and now it was her turn to be there for him. And now that she thought about it, she had an idea about something that might help make everyone forget about the baloney incident.

"Go smuggle me a meatball sub. I'll be in the janitor's closet with Ramona." Jackson murmured to Violet the next day at lunch. Seemed like everyone still remembered him as Baloney Boy which made Violet frown. She hoped her plan worked to stop everyone thinking him as Baloney Boy.
"Actually, you might be surprised this time." Violet admitted, earning a confused look from him. She gestured with a nod to a group of girls sitting at a nearby table who were checking him out. And yes, it stung and she felt jealousy bubble up in her stomach, but they were in a secret relationship at school. They had to pretend not to be dating so no one would suspect them.
"Are those girls looking at me?" Jackson asked in confusion.
"Yeah, so I may have started a new rumor that you were the best kisser at Bayview High. To make people forget about Baloney Boy." Violet confessed sheepishly, her face flushing.
Jackson's eyes widen, a mix of surprise and amusement playing on his face. "You did what now?"
Violet's cheeks flushed deeper as she shrugged, a sheepish smile on her lips. "I figured if people are talking about you, why not give them something a bit more flattering to talk about? So I started a new rumor, just to change the subject. Seems like people really like the new subject. Full Lips Fuller is trending." She pulled her phone out to show him, her blush deepening.
"Wow. This is...I don't know what to say." Jackson stammered, his expression a mix of flattered and embarrassed.
"I'm sorry, I should've asked you before starting a new rumor, but I just thought it could help take the attention away from Baloney Boy," Violet explains, fiddling with her necklace nervously. "I'm sorry, Jackson, I wasn't trying to embarrass you, I just-"
Jackson cuts her off, giving her a reassuring smile. "It's okay, Violet. I appreciate. This is awesome. I've never been fake news before." He grinned, pulling her in for a quick hug, careful not to draw attention to them.
"Just trying to help," Violet murmurs, melting into his arms. "You're not upset?"
Jackson shakes his head, squeezing her shoulder. "No, I'm not. Why would I be upset? You did it to help me out, and I appreciate that. Plus, it's kinda fun to be in the spotlight for something positive, even if it's just a rumor."
Violet smiles, relieved. "I'm glad you're okay with it. I just wanted to make sure you knew I'm here for you, no matter what."
Jackson nods, his smile widening. "I know, and it means a lot. Thanks for having my back."
As they chatted, Violet noticed the group of girls still glancing their way, their interest clearly piqued by the new rumor. She felt a bit of pride knowing she'd managed to shift the focus away from the embarrassing incident.
"Well, I guess it's working..." Violet mutters, ignoring the tight feeling in her stomach. "Seems like people are interested in you."
"So, you're Full Lips Fuller." A blonde haired girl speaks up as she walks over to them, crossing her arms while the group of girls who were checking Jackson out followed her. "I think these rumors about your kissing skills are bogus?"
Jackson scoffs. "No, they're not. Google me. I got mad kissing skills."
Violet nods in agreement. "He's not kidding. I've heard it from multiple sources."
The blonde looks unconvinced. "Then prove it." She smirks. "Kiss me right now."
Jackson's eyes widen in shock, and he glances at Violet, who is equally taken aback. The blonde girl's challenge was bold and unexpected, but Violet wasn't surprised. If anything, she was annoyed and didn't trust the blonde's intentions. Still, Violet could feel her cheeks burn at the suggestion, and her stomach churned with jealousy.
Jackson laughs, a bit too nervously. "Right now? But, uh...We're not in a committed relationship." He glanced at Violet nervously, who forced herself to keep a neutral expression as she crossed her arms, keeping her gaze on the floor. She was feeling conflicted about this. On one hand, she wanted to support Jackson and stand by him, but on the other hand, she didn't want to show the fact she was jealous or insecure. She didn't want Jackson kissing anyone else. And she could see he didn't want to do it, either. But they promised they would be in a secret relationship at school which was harder than she thought.
"Are you Full Lips Fuller? Or are you Baloney Boy?" The tall blonde asked, tilting her head to the side. She was being pushy, and it was making Violet annoyed. She felt a surge of frustration at the blonde girl's persistence. It was clear the girl wasn't genuinely interested in Jackson but was more interested in stirring up trouble. Violet clenched her jaw, trying to stay composed.
"Oh, I'm Full Lips Fuller." Jacksons quickly replied, not wanting to be seen as 'Baloney Boy' for the rest of his life. But he didn't want to kiss anyone else beside Violet either. He didn't know how to get out of this situation without making things worse.
"Back up, Barbie," Violet said firmly, stepping in front of Jackson. The blonde girl's expression shifted from cocky to annoyed as she took a step back, surprised by Violet's sudden intervention. "I'll figure it out if the rumors are true." She turned to a confused Jackson before she reached up to grab the collar of his shirt and pulling him down for a deep kiss. Jackson was taken aback at first, but soon melted into the kiss, wrapping his arms around her waist. As their lips moved together, the tension in the air seemed to dissipate, replaced with an electric charge. They lost themselves in the moment, forgetting that they were in a school cafeteria surrounded by people.
As they broke apart, Violet could see the stunned expressions on the faces of the group of girls, the blonde girl included. Violet's face flushed and she pretended to stumble back to sit down in a nearby seat. "Wow, that was something else. Full Lips Fuller lives up to his reputation." Violet said breathlessly, her cheeks burning as she tried to compose herself. Jackson, also a bit dazed, nodded while his face turned red. He couldn't believe she just kissed him like that in front of everyone at school.
The tall blonde girl looks impressed and glances at Jackson with a smirk. "Well, when you're through with," She pauses, glancing back at Violet with disgust. "...That. DM me on Insta." After blowing him a kiss and flipping her hair over her shoulder, she turned to leave, followed by her friends.
Once they were gone, Violet and Jackson shared a look, both still processing what just happened. Violet's heart was racing, and her cheeks were still burning. Jackson's face was flushed, and he couldn't help but smile at the look on her face. She had just kissed him, in front of everyone, and it had felt incredible. He knew they were in a secret relationship, but the thrill of kissing her in public was exciting. He didn't expect her to be so bold, but he was glad she had.
"So...Full Lips Fuller, huh?" Jackson asked with a smirk. Violet blushes deeper, averting her gaze.
"I just did what I had to do to protect your reputation. You can't go through the rest of high school being known as Baloney Boy." Violet replied, feigning indifference. She was still trying to play it cool, despite her cheeks flushing and her heart racing.
"Hey, no complaints here." Jackson held his hands up, his smile widening. "But are we, uh...Good? Like, was that okay? I thought you wanted to keep us a secret in school." He asked, furrowing his brow in concern. He didn't want to pressure her into anything she didn't want.
"I'm okay, Jax." Violet assures him, giving him a warm smile. "I still want to keep our relationship a secret, but...I just couldn't stand that girl being all over you. I had to do something, and that was the only thing I could think of."
Jackson nods, a mix of understanding and relief. "I get it, I was just making sure." He pauses as he realized something. "Wait, were you jealous?" He teased, raising an eyebrow.
Violet scoffs and rolls her eyes, crossing her arms. "Of her? No way."
Jackson grins, seeing right through her. "Come on, Vi. Admit it, you were jealous."
"Fine, maybe a little." Violet huffs, her cheeks flushing again. "I don't like the thought of other girls being all over you."
Jackson smiles fondly at her, his expression softening. "Well, you have nothing to worry about. I'm only interested in you." He reassured her, his gaze lingering on her.
Violet blushes deeper and smiles shyly at him. "Thanks, Jax. That means a lot."
She got up with Jackson to get their food when suddenly they saw Kimmy and Max dressed up in odd outfits, probably thinking they were dressing like high schoolers. And Violet noticed Kimmy was challenging Chad Brad Bradley to a dance battle. Chad Brad Bradley was one of the most popular guys in school and the choreographer of the dance team. Ramona had told Violet last night that she didn't make it on the team because Chad told her she wasn't in it and she thought it was maybe because she suggested a new dance move to add to his move. He clearly didn't like someone questioning him. Violet didn't know much about him, but she heard from Hartley he was a jerk.
Kimmy accidentally revealed Ramona was her daughter, but quickly added that she was a teen mom to play it off as that, but it was clear no one was believing it. Chad agreed to the dance battle and he played some music before calling his dance team to back him up. Violet had to admit she was impressed by their dancing skills, but she knew Ramona was a great dancer, so she had no doubt her best friend would win.
"What do you got, Slim Jim?" Chad asked Ramona with a smirk after the dance.
"Dance team, assemble!" Ramona firmly replies, glaring back at him as she stepped forward. Kimmy started dancing immediately while Violet tried backing out of it, sneaking into the crowd since she didn't want to participate in this. Ramona quickly grabbed her arm to pull her in, pulling a reluctant Rocki in too while Jackson reluctantly followed along with Mankowski. "Five, six, seven, eight." Ramona nervously said after they got into a line. Let's just say the dancing wasn't as good as Chad and his team was. Ramona was killing it like usual, Violet was impressed with herself with how easy it seemed to be as she tried her best to follow Ramona's move. She had always been too nervous and scared to try dancing, but maybe she should give it a try. Though she and Ramona stopped, watching Kimmy in disbelief as she danced in front of them in a weird way.
"Dance team, disassemble!" Ramona called out with a grimace and soon dance battle against Ramona and Chad started. Violet cheered for Ramona as she danced, her smile widening as she saw her best friend effortlessly performing each move with confidence and skill. Ramona and Chad were both equally good at dancing, she wasn't sure how this was going to end. Suddenly Chad stumbled and fell to the ground, shocking everyone and even himself. The music stopped as everyone groaned in sympathy at the fall.
"Chad stumbled." The tall blonde from earlier speaks up in shock. "He never stumbles."
"It's a new move...Called 'the Stumble'." Chad stammered, trying to save himself from the embarrassment. He had to keep his image up.
"Chad Brad Bradley, don't move!" Mr. Byenberg shouted heading over to him and doing the same thing he did with Jackson the day before. Jackson had an amused look on his face, clearly finding it entertaining to see Chad get the same treatment. Violet had to agree with Jackson. It was pretty satisfying to see him go through the same humiliation Jackson did.
"I'm completely fine." Chad admitted. Mr. Byenberg didn't listen, placing the orange traffic cones around him and placing the neck brace on before making him lay down.
Kimmy kneels by him with a smirk. "I don't remember you ordering, but you just got served."
Max takes his sunglasses off while he grins. "Yeah, boy!"
"Fine. Your kid's good." Chad reluctantly admits. "She can be on the team."
"Ramona's on the team!" Kimmy cheers, standing and turning to her daughter with a wide smile. Ramona beamed and hugged her mom and then high fived Max. Violet grinned, high fiving Ramona. She was happy that Ramona finally got what she deserved. Suddenly music started again and Kimmy calls out, "Five, six, seven, eight!" She began doing her iconic dance and Violet couldn't help but join in with an amused look on her face along with Ramona, Jackson, and Max. "And sparkle. And sparkle. And spin. And spin! And spank, spank, spank, spank! Come on, everybody!" Everyone started doing the same dance, even Mr. Byenberg had got up and joined the group with doing the move. AAfter the move, Mr. Byenberg started dancing with Kimmy in the circle The dance battle had taken quite a turn, and the entire scene was filled with a mix of amusement and excitement. As Kimmy, Max, Violet, Ramona, Jackson, and even Mr. Byenberg danced together, the atmosphere lightened up, transforming the tense moment into a joyful celebration.
Violet found herself caught up in the fun, her earlier nerves melting away as she danced alongside her friends and the unexpected participants. Ramona's victory and Chad's dramatic stumble had already set a comedic tone, but now, with everyone joining in on the dance, it felt like a spontaneous, inclusive party. Kimmy's unique and infectious energy seemed to spread throughout the room, encouraging everyone to let loose and have a good time. Violet hadn't expected the day to take such a turn, but she was glad it had.
