Keith's Perspective
Once I had smothered Pico in many kisses, I noticed one of his eyes dripping a strange black ooze. "Um.. Babe..? Are you okay?" I asked and slowly wiped off the gross liquid. Pico noticed as well and closed his eye. "You should probably get the doctor." He suggested calmly, still holding my hand. "Y-yeah, you stay put." I said nervously and fetched the nurse, since the doctor was busy with other patients. The nurse examined Pico's eye carefully, but no other ooze came out. One moment he blinked, and his eye went from white to inky black. I jumped back and the nurse quickly left to get a doctor. "Keith? What's wrong?" Pico asked and rubbed my hand. "Y-your eye.. it's... Black." I told him and he gently rubbed the darkened eye. "Really? It doesn't feel any different." He said and then leaned over to the mirror. "Huh. Well. I suppose I can explain that." He said and then made me sit down. "I have a demon in me." He said while holding my hands. He stared at me in shock and I rubbed his cheek. "It's okay Keith, I'm alright. I promise." I reassured him while slowly stroking his cheek. "Well.. If you promise. And as long as it isn't hurting you..." He said unsurely. I nodded and kissed his cheek. "If he hurts me I'll tell you." I whispered and kissed his nose. He giggled and gently hugged me. "How's your arm feeling?" He asked and looked at my freshly bandaged arm. "Eh it's fine, I think the drugs they pumped into me are making it better." I suggested and leaned up to look at my leg. "Did they hafta do surgery-? It's all covered up." I asked and he made me lay down. "No, they just cleaned it up and put some ointment on it to help it not become infected. I thought you were gonna have worse with that IV too, but they just have it so you can have the proper fluids. It's also for the medication." The blue boy told me and kissed my forehead. "So basically when the meds wear off I'm gonna feel a fuck ton of pain-?" I concluded and leaned into his hand that petted my cheek. "Yep." He replied simply while stroking my freckled cheek. I sighed and laid down completely. "I don't wanna be hurt anymore, it's not fun like it used to be." I complained, looking at Keith with one open eye. "Don't worry babe, you won't be hurt anymore." He whispered and then hugged me tightly. I weakly hugged him back, due to the medication making me very sleepy. Within mere moments I faded away, my mind slipping and losing its grip on my body.
Once I had awoken again, I was alone and new bandages. I cold tell because my skin wasn't used to them and it felt itchy. I also felt a growing hunger, but not for food. For power and destruction. I could feel vile thoughts swimming through my mind, ones of murder and torture. Ones of pure evil and despicable actions. I looked at myself and noticed a difference. My veins were flowing with a black liquid that was barely noticeable, and my breathing was much clearer than ever before. Was the demon taking over me slowly? My thoughts were cut off by the door opening, and there stood a she-demon I didn't expect nor want. Behind her was my blue haired beauty. Cherry approached me with the clacking of her heels. "Pico, Keith told me about your situation. If it isn't too much trouble, could you open your mouth?" She asked and Keith sat in the chair next to my bed, slowly rubbing my hand. "Psh- okay-?" I said casually and opened my mouth, flinching when she poked my canines. "Hm.. I see. You can close your mouth. She told me and I immediately did so. My muscles all felt sore and strangely tense. "What has happened to you ever since you're come in contact of this demon?" She asked coolly and leaned over the edge of my bed. I sighed and recollected as much as I could out loud, Keith helping me fill in some of the blanks. Cherry stayed silent and content the whole time. ".. I see." She said while examining the veins in my hand. "Well, it seems as though the demon in you is fusing with you." Cherry told me and placed a hand on my Keith's shoulder. MY Keith. I hissed subconsciously and stared at her pissed. "You have abnormally large canines, you had black eyes, you had dark magic leak from your body, and you have demon blood in your veins. Pico, unless you get rid of this demon soon, you will become a demon." Cherry concluded. Keith gripped my hand and looked at me with this innocent upset expression. "The next symptoms are claws, demon skin, demon eyes, a demon tail, horns, your soul being eaten, and a few other things. You'll regress a bit to primal instincts." She warned, causing Keith to get more upset. "Okay okay, leave us alone." I hissed out. Cherry sighed and nodded, exiting the room and closing the door.
I sat up and rubbed small circles in Keith's hands. "Baby I'm going to be okay... I promise." I told him softly, his face still uncertain and upset. I pulled him closer and slowly rocked him, comfortingly humming. He relaxed and hugged back, rested his head on my shoulder. I stayed in silence and embraced the feelings in his soul. It's sweet the way he cared so much, and I would do the same for him. I began slowly rubbing his back and listening to his breath. "I'm okay Keith." I reassured him and kissed his cheek. He looked at me with quivering hands and I slowly petted his cheek. "I-I don't want you to be a demon Pico.." He whimpered and looked at me upset. "I know baby, I won't." I reassured him again but more firmly. "Do you trust me?"
"Yes."
