Lucy scrunched her face slightly in annoyance from the tiking of the clock, letting out a sigh she let her eyes drift over to the young girl who stood by the window of their hotel room.

She opened her mouth to say something, anything, to break the silence but closed it when she realised she had nothing to say- okay she had a million things to say and ask but bombarding the young girl with her thoughts didn't seem right.

The blonde Fairy Tail mage moves her eyes back to the clock which seemed to tick ever so loudly.

Tick tick tick to-

"I'm sorry" Lucy's eyes flickered back over to the girl at the sound of her voice, now turned around Lucy saw a look of guilt and regret. "I-" The young girl began again only to cut herself off, a frown etched its way upon her adolescent face which in turn made Lucy frown, sensing the girl needed some comfort she pat the spot on the bed next to her, beckoning the girl over -who obliged willingly.

"You don't have anything to be sorry for-" The blonde lifted her hand slightly to stop the girl from protesting, "honestly, I don't t hold anything against you. You're a young girl who's all alone on the streets, I've been in a similar situation, not the same but similar so trust me if anyone understands it's me and Mira."

Lucy watched the young girl tilt her head down letting her brown locks fall over her face, she went to open her mouth again but was quickly cut off as the young girl launched herself at the blonde, Lucy shocked just sat there as the girl practically smothered her with a tight embrace. The shock soon wore off and Lucy wrapped her own arms around the skinny girl and let a small smile grace her lips.

"Thank you" Lucy's small smile spread into a bright grin across her face, she pulled back and held the young girl at arms length, "now what do you say we get you cleaned up, something to eat and get to know each other. Maybe you can start by telling me your name?"

"Ella, my names Ella." Ella stood from the bed with Lucy and walked into the bathroom to clean herself up, Lucy watched Ella walk into the bathroom and let a soft smile grace her lips as thoughts of steps forward and new beginnings fill her head.

---Meanwhile on the other side of town---

Mira stifled a yawn and continued her slow pace back towards the hotel she, Lucy and the young girl now in her care had been booked into.

Earlier she and Lucy made the decision that she would go alone to visit the person who put out the request, while Lucy stayed at the hotel with the girl.

She'd gotten to Miss Glabourman's house around 4pm and it was now 8:30 on the night, she didn't intend to stay as long as she had but Missy Glabourman and her husband Andrew Glabourman are interesting and talkative people, she'd gotten so wrapped up in their stories of when they were younger that they almost forgot to tell her the details of the mission request.

'Finally' Mira breathed a sigh of relief as she entered the hotel out of the chilly night air. She fumbled in her pocket for her room key, not feeling it she looked down at her pocket and stopped dead in the middle of the hotel lobby, a smile of success graced the white haired beauty's face as she pulled out the silver key with 454 engraved on it- but her success was short lived as someone came crashing into her.

"I'm so sorry I wasn't looking where I was going" the young man who bumped into her smiled sheepishly and rubbed the back of his neck.

"Don't worry about it, it was an accident" Mira's kind personality shined and encouraged the man to say these next words.

"I'd love to make it up to you, maybe I can buy you a drink or something?" Mira internally winced at the mans hopeful smile and she went to shoot him down in a polite manner but she felt an arm sneak around her waist and lips touch her cheek.

"Oh... well have a good night" the man politely excused himself and made his way towards the elevator area.

Mira shook her head and turned to the side to plant a kiss on her girlfriends grinning lips. "You took your time,didn't you?" Mira didn't say anything to Lucy's question as her eyes found the young girls form next to her blonde girlfriend.

There stood what looked like a completely different girl, her skin had no dirt patches, she looked clean and fresh, her long hair cascaded down her back with no knots or matts, her scruffy clothes and shoes had been replaced with a pair of Lucy's 3 quarter jeans (that fit the girl as regular jeans) and a purple T-shirt with yellow stars on, and a pair of white trainers.

Noticing Mira's stare Ella stuck
out her hand towards her and shocked the life out of Mira by speaking ,something she hadn't done since they'd gotten to the hotel hours ago, "hi I'm Ella, thank you for helping me".
