Chapter Nineteen

*Finnian's P.O.V.*

It had been a full day. No one has seen (Y/N), Sebastian, or the Young Master. Bard, Mey-Rin, and I, all continued with work as if it was a normal day, but I'd be the first to admit that I was having a hard time concentrating. It was alarming that we hadn't seen any of them. I could only assume the worst had happened to (Y/N), seeing how things ended with Angela, but was the Young Master okay?

I was supposed to be cutting out to stray branches on the bushes outside of the manor. I was maybe a fourth of the way done, and it was already noon. This type of work usually never took over an hour for me to do, and I've already spent half of my day out here.

If the Young Master were to see this, he'd be overly disappointed in me.

I couldn't really help it, though. It was a hot and muggy day. The sun was hidden behind the trees, and my own mind was clouded.

I hope you're okay...

Just as I was starting to focus back on my work, Bard came running out of the manor to me.

"What's going on? Are you okay?" I instantly asked him.

"(Y/N) ..." he spoke between his out of shape breaths, "She's in her room... the Young Master...he let her out..."

As much as I wanted to wait to make sure he wasn't having a heart attack, I couldn't help but run into the house.

She's out, and I hope okay.

I instantly ran to her room and eagerly knocked on the door.

After a few moments, a weaker looking (Y/N) opened the door. She may have looked weaker, but she was in one piece- and at that moment, that's all I cared about.

I instantly hugged her. "Thank goodness you're okay!"

She wrapped her arms around me in return, her smile hiding in my neck. It was true that we didn't have many moments together, but that night that the Young Master made us take her down, we both had the same feeling. We knew that there was a connection between us, and I was so worried that it was gone when Sebastian took her down.

She didn't say anything, but I could feel that click between us. I could also sense how week she was. Who knows what she went through while she was gone, let alone the rest of the story?

"Come in," She invited me, speaking quietly. "I need to tell you everything."

I nodded, following her into the room, where she explained everything to me.
