I sat in the front entrance of the manor for about twenty minutes before I was approached by three other servants. There was a tall man with dirty blond hair, a maid with magenta hair and glasses, and a charming-looking strawberry blonde, who looked less enthused than the others.

"We are here to take you to your room, miss," the maid spoke, enthusiastically. "I am the maid, Mey-Rin."

"I'm Bard; I'm the cook," the tall blonde introduced himself.

The third of them stayed quiet, until Bard had nudged him. "I am Finnian or Finny; I take care of the garden."

"We are here to take you to your courters. The young master has informed us that you will be working among us," Mey-Rin stated.

I didn't know anything about this, but I didn't know anything about this situation. I had spent the last hour sitting in the Fourier alone. I had no reason to go against what they were saying, so I got up to follow them up the stairs. They lead me to the top floor which was a line of long hallways.

"Do-do you all live up here?" I hesitantly asked, wanting to get a better understanding of my surroundings.

"Yes, your room is next to mine," Mey-Rin explained.

"Your uniform is in your room. Super will be at 6:00. You can come down around 7:00 to eat," Bard explained.

"Don't worry about serving tonight. You're first day will start bright and early in the morning," Mey-Rin explained. "I will be here at 7:00, so be dressed and ready to go."

I looked to Finnian. He hadn't said a word to me since he introduced himself. He looked displeased with my presence for some reason. I was going to ask, but I also felt rather out of place. I figured in time that I would get a better chance to talk to him, hopefully getting rid of the tension between us. It would be rather unfortunate if his striking turquois eyes were only used to send glares my way.

Once we were to my room, I thanked the three of them. They all excused themselves, and I was able to get a better adjustment to the room. There was a single person bed in the corner of the room, a closet filled with a few maid outfits, a dresser with different two different white night gowns, and a desk. I also had a small personal washroom.

This guy really doesn't mess around. I have never had such a luxury.

I couldn't help but feel grateful. Even if this was some trick, I knew that I should take advantage of the privilege that it was going to give me for the time being. Hell, I was about to get a hot meal for the night. I couldn't remember the last time I had one of those.

There were a few books left on the desk that I decided to read through until 7:00. Once the time came, I wandered my way around the manor to receive supper. However, I did get rather lost. I entered a few rooms that were decorated with luxurious furniture and paintings. Each one of those rooms I mistakenly took, I turned right around, not wanting to overstep my boundaries. After about twenty minutes, I was able to find myself the kitchen.

"About time you showed up. I was about to toss the rest to Pluto," Bard chuckled.

"I apologize, I got a little lost," I commented.

He let out a small sigh. "I suppose we should have given you a better tour of the place."

I looked around the kitchen to see that it was empty. "Where are the others?"

"They already ate, which is why I am cleaning up. But I did leave you a plate," Bard stated.

I looked to the table to see that there was a plate of chicken, mash potatoes and carrots sitting out for me. It honestly smelt so good that I couldn't help but rush to the table to eat it.

Bard let out another chuckle. "It's been a while since you've had a proper meal, I take it?"

"You have no idea," I mumbled, stuffing my face with chicken.

"Well, don't eat too fast. Don't need you choking on me," Bard commented.

I gave him a polite smile and thanked him for the food. We continued to make small talk until I had finished. I offered to help him clean up, but he declined, telling me to go rest. It was true that I was tired, and I had had an awfully long day. So, I took his advice and went back to my room for the night.
