Chapter Eleven

The rest of the day went on like usual. After I had all of my work done, I decide to join Bard in the kitchen to see if he needed any help. He declined, but I stayed for the company.

"Wait, so what happened?" Bard asked.

"Pluto, he turned into his demon hound form and attacked her, but (Y/N) ...she was so fast," I commented.

"You think she has something about her like the rest of us?" Bard questioned.

"She has too...I don't see how else..." I thought aloud.

Soon, Mey-Rin and the girl came into the kitchen.

"Everything is all set in the dinning room. The young master should be down soon," Mey-Rin told Bard.

I couldn't help but exchange glances. She seemed to be doing better than this morning, but she also seemed a lot more timid. Was it because of Pluto or is it because she knew that our true purpose was to protect Young Master?

"I'll get everything dished up, and then we can eat," Bard smiled, gently placing the Young Master's food on his plate.

Mey-Rin helped him finish up a couple more things, and it left just (Y/N) and me.

"...look, I wanted to thank you, again, for saving me..." she quietly said.

I gave her a soft smile in return. "Well, of course."

*Your P.O.V.*

I looked into Finny's turquoise eyes, and they were no longer as cold as it was before. He was even smiling at me. I guess my apology worked last night because he seemed like a whole new person.

"Okay, we can dig in," Bard announced.

Finny and I exchanged glances and smiles once more before taking a plate to eat.

I'm glad he's seems more comfortable with me.
