It was cold. Freezing. That's all Skylar could think about. She didn't know how to react. Finally, she snapped back to reality and began to swim back up. But, something slimy wrapped around her ankle. She looked down and saw that a blue tentacle was wrapped around her left ankle. She gasped, causing air to leave her lungs. She instantly clamped her mouth shut. She looked up at the surface. It seemed so close, yet so far away. She looked down at the tentacle. It jerked her down a bit. Skylar widened her eyes and kicked at it with her other foot. It only yanked her down more. More away from the surface. She struggled to swim up, she was still tired from what happened with Enderlox. She looked down and saw a purple glow. She held back a scream as another tentacle shot up and wrapped around her arm. She fought to get it away from the thing, but it pulled harder, it was stronger. He was stronger. She knew who it was. She knew. She didn't want to know though. She wish she didn't. She looked at her belt. Thee knife! She still had it! She grabbed it. Yanking it out. She stabbed it into the tentacle around her arm. It let go, a black liquid oozed out of it. Next, she stabbed the one around her ankle. Two more tentacles tried to grab her, she swam up before they reached her. As soon as her head broke the suface, she took in as much air as she could. Then she swam to the surface. She climbed onto the bank and coughed up water. She stood up shakily. There was a small splash sound. She turned around and saw him. He grinned, showing sharp teeth. His tentacles rose behind him. He whispered one word, loud enough for Skylar to hear: "Run."
