Chapter 6: Unexpected Encounters

It was a warm afternoon, and Jimin was walking down the street, his favorite coffee cup in hand, enjoying his rare day off. He was lost in his thoughts, thinking about his shift at the café and the cheerful customers. As he passed by the park, he almost didn't notice the group of people walking ahead of him-until he bumped into someone.

Thud.

"Ah, sorry!" Jimin said, quickly trying to catch his balance. His coffee cup nearly slipped from his grasp, but someone reached out and steadied him.

Jimin looked up, his breath catching in his throat. It was Jungkook, standing in front of him with a big smile.

"No problem, Jimin," Jungkook said warmly, his voice soft. His hand lingered just a second longer on Jimin's arm, sending a small spark through him. "It's good to see you. I didn't expect to run into you today."

Jimin smiled, a little flustered by the way Jungkook's eyes lingered on him. "I didn't see you either. I was too focused on my coffee, I guess."

Just then, a voice called from behind Jungkook.

"Jungkook, wait up!"

A tall, lean guy with a wide grin appeared, his eyes scanning the scene before landing on Jimin. His gaze shifted back to Jungkook with a knowing smile.

"Minhyuk, this is Jimin," Jungkook introduced. "Jimin, this is Minhyuk. We go way back."

Jimin smiled shyly and waved, feeling a little nervous but trying to seem at ease. "Hi, nice to meet you."

Minhyuk looked from Jimin to Jungkook, his eyes twinkling with curiosity. He stepped closer, his smile widening as he sized Jimin up.

"So, you're the guy, huh?" Minhyuk said with a teasing grin. "The guy Kook's always talking about."

Jimin blinked, confused. "What?"

Jungkook froze, his face flushing slightly. He quickly shot a warning glance at Minhyuk. "Minhyuk-"

"Oh no, don't worry. I've heard a lot about you, Jimin," Minhyuk continued, laughing as he nudged Jungkook with his elbow. "Kook's always going on about you-how you make the best coffee, how cute you are, and how you brighten his day."

Jimin's cheeks turned red. "I-I didn't know he talked about me like that."

Minhyuk's grin only widened. "Oh, he definitely does," he said, winking at Jimin before turning to Jungkook. "I'm surprised you haven't asked him out yet, man. I think you've got it bad."

Jungkook groaned, burying his face in his hand. "Minhyuk, can you not?"

Jimin, still a little embarrassed, laughed softly. "It's fine. I'm used to teasing."

Minhyuk grinned. "I think you two are perfect for each other. I can see it already. You know, Kook might act all tough, but I can tell he's got a soft spot for you."

Jungkook rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. "Okay, Minhyuk, that's enough."

Minhyuk held his hands up in surrender, but his smile never faltered. "Alright, alright. Just make sure you don't take too long to ask him out, Kook. You've got a good thing going here."

Jungkook turned back to Jimin, his expression softening. "I'm sorry about that," he said, his voice gentler now. "Minhyuk can be a bit... over the top."

Jimin chuckled, shaking his head. "It's okay. I don't mind."

After a moment of quiet, Jungkook looked at Jimin with a little more seriousness in his eyes. "Actually, Jimin... since we ran into each other like this, I was thinking-maybe we could grab a coffee sometime. Just the two of us?"

Jimin's heart skipped a beat, and he glanced down, feeling the warmth spread across his cheeks. "Sure, I'd like that. I mean, yeah. That sounds nice."

Jungkook grinned, clearly relieved. "Great. How about tomorrow? I'll text you the details?"

Jimin nodded, his heart fluttering with excitement. "Okay, I'm looking forward to it."

Before they could say anything more, Minhyuk chimed in again, a mischievous gleam in his eye. "Oh, and Kook-don't forget to tell Jimin this: Are you made of copper and tellurium? Because you're Cu-Te."

Jimin blinked, confused at first, but then realized it was a pickup line. His cheeks flushed with embarrassment, and Jungkook groaned, facepalming.

"Minhyuk!" Jungkook exclaimed. "Not the chemistry jokes!"

Jimin couldn't help but laugh, the tension easing between them. "You... you really like to tease him, don't you?"

Minhyuk raised an eyebrow and shrugged, a playful smile on his face. "Only because he's so easy to tease."

Jungkook gave Jimin an apologetic look. "I'm really sorry about that. Minhyuk's just... he doesn't know when to stop."

Jimin smiled softly, his heart melting at the way Jungkook was looking at him. "It's alright. It's actually kinda funny."

As Minhyuk waved goodbye, Jungkook stayed by Jimin's side for a moment longer, a quiet smile playing on his lips. "I'll text you later," he said, voice warm. "And maybe I'll come up with a better pickup line next time."

Jimin chuckled, still feeling the rush of warmth from the moment. "I'm looking forward to it."
