Chapter 1: The Rapper Who Came From Daegu

Min Yoongi was a struggling rapper who went by the name Agust D, trying to find his big break. He got no support from his dickhead of a father or older brother, and his mother was too busy standing by her husband to even notice her son struggling. He had left his family home and began participating in underground rap battles. Sure, he had skills and could rap fast, but that wasn't helping him get noticed, or feeding him for that matter. He barely had any money, but he did have a good friend who had offered him a place to stay. Jeon Jishun was another rapper better known as Jismooth trying to make it big and Yoongi's only friend. By day Jishun was a waiter and by night he was out with Yoongi rapping.

One thing Yoongi loved as much as rapping was playing the piano, something that he's kept to himself. The piano always calmed him, cleared all of his negative thoughts. Jishun was out and Yoongi figured he would ease his mind and play on his friend's piano. The touch of the keys instantly cleared Yoongi's mind, and unbeknownst to him Jishun came home and was in awe while watching his friend play.
"Well shit, big bad Agust plays the piano." Jishun said from the archway, walking to the couch. Yoongi jumped and his face immediately reddened from being caught.
"Shut up Jishun."

Jishun laughed as he sat down on the couch. "You should take that talent to another city, staying here in Daegu isn't going to help you make it in the real world Yoongi."
"Even if I did leave, where would I go?" Yoongi said with a scoff.
"Busan, I have a cousin there who already offered their place for you to crash, and they said they make amazing rice cakes."
Yoongi laughed at his friend and his love for rice cakes. He'd be lying if he said he didn't think of leaving Daegu, to go anywhere other than where he was now.
"Busan huh?" Yoongi said with a smile. "You sure you're gonna be okay without me?"
"Having you here is the biggest cock-block," Jishun said with a chuckle, getting up to give Yoongi a light punch on his shoulder. "Make it big for the both of us."
"When should I leave?"
"I already bought your ticket for tomorrow morning at ten, better get some rest." Jishun said as he stood and walked into his room.

Yoongi shook his head at his friend with a chuckle, heading towards his room to pack his belongings, which thankfully wasn't a lot. He couldn't believe he was really about to leave the place where he grew up, his home, then again there wasn't much for him in Daegu. Busan was one of the more busier cities in South Korea, so he could understand why Jishun went through the trouble to get him there. After packing, Yoongi sat on the edge of his bed, debating if he was making the right choice. Realizing he had no way to back down, Yoongi threw himself onto his bed, to attempt to get some sleep for his busy day tomorrow.

The Next Day

The sun was peering through the curtains inside Yoongi's room, waking him from his slumber. He looked over at his phone, the time read 8:45am. He groaned, sat up, and stretched, deciding he should take a shower and make his way towards the train station. After spending twenty minutes in the shower, he dressed himself and took one lat look around the room where he spent the past few months after leaving his family home. He wrote a quick thank you note to Jishun and left it on the piano, heading out of the apartment Yoongi made his way to Dondaegu station. He made sure to leave his notebook out of his bag, considering the ride was only fifty-seven minutes long he could at least think of a verse or two. The train pulled up and Yoongi boarded with his ticket in his hand, ready to show the conductor. Once he got on he searched for an empty seat, to his luck he found an empty double seat and sat next to the window.

The only thing Yoongi noticed was the conductor shaking him, he hadn't realized he fell asleep. He awoke in Busan, thankful that the conductor was nice enough to wake him up. When he stepped off of the train, noticing a girl holding a sign that read 'Min Yoongi.' She had long black hair that was pulled into twin-tails, adorned in a school uniform. Her pale skin matched his own and complimented her blue eyes. When he got closer to her she waved and flashed a big smile.
"Hi! I'm Jeon Kimlee, Jishun is my cousin."
"Nice to meet you, but I was expecting when he mentioned his cousin letting me crash at his place I was sure he meant a guy." Yoongi scratched the back of his head. "Would it really be okay with me staying with you?" Something about this arrangement was throwing him off, giving him a bad vibe.
Kimlee giggled softly. "It's fine, I have another roommate anyway." She turned away from him and started walking out of the station, Yoongi was still skeptical of this girl, but followed behind her. "How far do you live from the station?" He asked grimly.

Kimlee ignored his question and continued to walk down the street, passing many shops, until she finally stopped at a rice cake shop. Yoongi groaned, all he wanted to do was head back to wherever this girl lived so he could sleep, and figure out how he'd get noticed in Busan. Kimlee walked into the shop and greeted an old woman, who was placing sweet bean rice cakes into the display counter. He was annoyed, he was sure she must have noticed by now, but chose to ignore him.

"Where's Jimin?" Kimlee asked the woman who said that he was delivering some rice cakes for her and should be back any minute. Suddenly, the door flew open and a young man dashed past him. He was sweaty, out of breath, his cheeks were flushed and his hair was matted to his head with sweat. Yoongi raised an eyebrow at the young man, he was interesting.
"Ah, Kimi, sorry! I was trying to get one more delivery done for granny before you got back." He panted out.
'Ah, his voice is unique. I like it.' Yoongi thought to himself.
His thoughts were disturbed when the annoying Kimlee kept calling his name. He groaned loudly.
"Kimi, who's that?" The young man asked while pointing at Yoongi.
"The rapper who came from Daegu." She answered.
"I have a name you know." Yoongi said stoically.
"Jimin, meet Yoongi, Yoongi meet Jimin."
'Ah he has a nice name too.'

Jimin waved to Yoongi and he waved back. The annoying Kimlee finally said she would take Yoongi to the apartment. She said her goodbyes to Jimin and his grandmother then pushed Yoongi out of the shop, stopping him from looking at Jimin. The walk from the shop to her apartment wasn't long, only a few blocks away. She unlocked the door and stepped aside to let him in.
"The spare room is the one at the end of the hall on the left, the one across from you is taken, second room next to yours is your bathroom, on the right is my room and my bathroom. " Kimlee said as she took off her shoes.

"How can you afford a five room apartment with just yourself?" Yoongi asked questioningly.
Kimlee didn't answer, she just smiled and disappeared into her room. Yoongi shook his head and decided he should take a shower, after all he was out all day. Twenty minutes after his shower he opened the bathroom door and stood in the hall.
"Was my room on the left or the right?" Yoongi asked himself, he shrugged and went to the door on the right, diagonal from the bathroom.

When he opened the door, he stood in shock, this was not his room. Instead in this room was a very embarrassed, very lean and very naked Jimin. Yoongi tried to look everywhere but at Jimin, who just stared at him with wide eyes. Yoongi pulled the door closed and turned to the room across on the left.

Once inside Yoongi tried to shake his head from the thoughts that flooded his mind. That's who the spare room belonged to, he wondered why Kimlee didn't say anything when he asked. A knock on the door shook him from his mind, to his surprise it was a fully clothed Jimin.
"Sorry, I confused which room was mine, I didn't mean to see you like that." Yoongi said softly.
"N-no, it's okay, I just wanted to say welcome, and I hope you enjoy your stay here." Jimin had a flushed face again, he was clearly embarrassed about being seen naked, Yoongi chuckled a little and nodded to Jimin who then took his leave back to his room.

Yoongi laid back on the bed with a content sigh. "Seems like I'll have some fun here in Busan." He chuckled to himself before turning over to sleep.
