Five sets me down on my feet inside the foyer of Icarus Theatre, an arm around my waist as we hear Vanya playing her solo. "I have to go in alone." I pull out of his grasp but he pulls me back harshly, shaking his head.

"No! I'm not letting you go alone! I'm done listening to you since you're always getting hurt!" he hisses in fury, holding my arms when I tried to leave again.

"Five-"

"-I'm coming with you whether you like it or not. I'm not leaving you alone anymore." he holds my cheeks, pleading with his eyes for me to stay. He looks at his siblings and they nod back in agreement. "We are doing this together." he says softly and I sigh in defeat, nodding and he lets out a breath in relief.

"Don't even think about using me and Allison as a distraction asshole." I hiss out as I turn to Luther, pointing at him even though he can't see me and Klaus repeats my words for me before I quickly walk off with Five through the doors. We walk down the aisle towards the stage seeing Vanya play her violin so beautifully, her music wafting over me so sweetly. I could feel the pulses of soundwaves go through me softly, my body vibrating again. "Vanya..." I mumble out when I was halfway from the stage and she looks up, smiling brightly when she spots me standing with Five. 

The soundwaves and her melodic music reverberate through me, lulling me and pulling me forward like a magnet. My mind numbs and all I could hear was her music, the only thing I could hear around me and I walk closer to the stage to just hear the music. To hear her. I had to be closer, to be surrounded by the music and I let myself fall under the power she had over me-

"-(y/n)!" I gasp softly when I break out of that sudden trance, feeling Five's hand around my wrist before he pulls me back sharply from the stage. I shake my head to get rid of the ringing in my head, rubbing my neck as I look at him when I noticed how worried he was but I reassured him that I was ok.

"We need to let her finish playing her solo. Don't get her mad. She won't bring any harm as long as we don't do anything." I tell him and he looks back at Vanya, unsure of the plan. "She's still normal, she's still here. If her suit starts turning white then we lost her and we are fucking screwed." Five looks back at me and nods.

"Where are the others?" he asks as he looks around and then stares towards the backstage. "Fucking hell." I look over as well at where he was looking at and see Luther and Diego on the other side.

"LUTHER NO!" I scream out, lurching forward as the brothers runs towards Vanya but she quickly gets up and sends them flying away into the audience that all scream and run out of the theatre. "Vanya!" She looks at me after forcing her orchestra to continue playing, directing her gaze at Diego and Luther. "And you officially pissed Vanya off!" I yell at them as she sends another strong sound wave at them and they quickly dodge. Five quickly pulls me back to hide behind some of the chairs with his family that does the same.

"Well, so much for the element of surprise. What else you got?" Diego huffs at Luther.

"The violin!" Allison yells out.

"It's her lightning rod! If we can take it from her and stop her from playing, we might have a shot." Luther was about to get up when a barrage of bullets come flying at us.

"You've got to be fucking kidding me!" I growl out, seeing the plague doctors firing at us. Again. The orchestra disperse and finally run away but Vanya kept playing as she powered up.

"What the hell happened to Klaus? He's supposed to be on lookout!" Diego exclaims.

"That dumbass went to get a shwarma!" I yell back.

"This is not good!" Five covers my head as he held me against the chairs, teleporting us somewhere more safe.

"You know these guys?"

"Yeah, I do." Five answers Diego.

"And?"

"And, we're fucking screwed is what!" I screech out as more of them start filtering into the theatre. 

Diego throws a few of his daggers, getting a bullseye at the ones by the exit when Klaus jumps over them and runs into the theatre. "Guys it's Cha-Cha! It's Cha-Cha she-"

"-get down dumbass!" I yell out and he falls down to avoid being shot at as Five teleports to the plagues walking down our aisle. He teleports on one of their backs, forcing them around to shoot at the two others behind him and getting him shot himself before he teleports back to me. "Klaus!" I scream out and he looks at me. "Do it! Do it now! Bring out Ben!" his eyes widen and he nods, fisting his hands and focusing as he shook to get in control of his powers. A vibrant blue light emits from his' clenched hands as he stands up, Ben appearing in front of him and shocking the entire family. He summons his tentacles, taking care of all the Commission gunmen and kills them all. It soon quietens down without raining bullets and I know Diego saw Cha-Cha on the stage when he gets up and runs towards her, bodyslamming her backstage for a fight. "Shit!" I turn around and see Vanya's suit turning white and I run towards the stage, doing the crumbling debris of the theatre that started cracking away from the soundwaves.

"(y/n)! No!" Five yells as the others run after me, Vanya striking her bow at them and sending them back with a soundwave. I dodge the wave when I drop to the floor, looking up behind me to see Vanya holding the boys captive and sucking away at their life force.

"Vanya!" She glares at me and she strikes at me but I quickly fly up above the wave to avoid it. "Please stop this!" She continues to send waves at me and I get hit, the frequency of the waves going higher and higher. I scream out in pain, falling to the floor as my body starts burning up again. I see Allison behind Vanya and I quickly get up as Vanya was focused on the boys. "Allison, no!" Vanya suddenly turns around and knocks Allison away, her body colliding into the instruments and I get up on the stage. I take hold of Vanya's violin in my grip, holding the neck before she could start playing again. She glares at me, sending painful pulses against me but I grit my teeth and stand my ground. "I don't want to hurt you, Vanya! I know that you're still inside somewhere!" I grunt out, taking hold of her bow in my other hand, both of us pushing at each other. The wind whips around us painfully, circling us in a large forcefield.

"(y/n)..." I hear Five cry out as I scream in agony, the soundwaves ripping me apart and blood starts pouring out from my ears and eyes.

"Vanya... Please... Look at what you're doing..." she doesn't listen to me, the frequency becoming unbearable and I look down at myself to see that I was flickering in and out of visibility. Blood spills out from my mouth as I cough out, my body starting to slowly become transparent.

I'm fading away.

"(y/n)... Where are you...?" Five whimpers out and I know I'm disappearing.

"Vanya... I'm begging you..." She looks at me dead in the eyes as I cry and I see her eyes flicker between brown and white.

"(y/n)...?" I hear her mumble out as her soundwaves rip open holes in me and I start to just become particles in the air.

"You're my friend Vanya... I would lay my life for my friends..." I smile at her weakly, my body slowly disintegrating away. I look back at Five in sorrow, knowing I broke my promise to him.

I'm sorry Five.

I close my eyes as I lose touch with everything around me when I suddenly hear a gunshot. I rip open my eyes when I suddenly get thrown back by a power surge, Vanya dropping the boys and her power circling around her before erupting from her chest. A white beam breaks through the ceiling and she drops to the floor.

"Vanya!" Allison runs towards the unconscious girl and I skid against the floor, struggling to breathe as I slowly broke apart.

"(y/n)!" Five drops next to me, his hands phasing through my body as I rippled around his hands. "No! I can barely see you!" He cries out and I raise and hand to hold his cheek even though he can't feel it.

I'm so sorry Five.

I'm so sorry for breaking my promise.

"(y/n)!" Ben runs up to me and Klaus looks up at him, trying to find me.

"Where's (y/n)!?" Klaus cries out, panic settling in as he frantically looks around for me but he couldn't see me now.

"Ben... It's not over. Tell Five to get everyone in a circle so he can use his ability to time travel." The messages get passed through to Klaus and to Five, Ben picking me up and carrying me on his back as we all got to the stage. "Five needs to take you all back in time with him... Vanya too." I mumble softly, exhaustion seeping through me quickly as bits of my body stop flying away.

Just floating like tiny particles of dust.

"Wait, should we be taking her? I mean,if she's the cause of the apocalypse. Isn't that like taking the bomb with us?" Luther asks when we all stood in a circle.

"The apocalypse will always happen and Vanya will always be the cause. Unless we take her with us and fix her." Five says and I smile weakly knowing he was finally giving a chance to risk it all in the end to try and help his sister. 

My head droops and I was struggling to stay awake, feeling lightheaded. "Stay awake (y/n)! You better stay awake!" Ben calls out to me as he stands behind Klaus, a hand on his shoulder as everyone holds hands in the circle. I look behind me to see the big flying hunk of moon rock coming straight for us.

I don't want to die.

I don't want to die like this.

"(y/n), please stay awake for me." Five whimpers softly before closing his eyes and concentrating. A large swarm of blue light and energy hovers above us, crackling as it circles us in a forcefield. Five grunts out, the light becoming brighter and the crackling becoming louder as the Hargreeves siblings turn into their younger selves except me. "Hold on! It's gonna get messy!"

Please work.

I close my eyes, seeing a blinding flash of blue for the last time before I fall into darkness.

YOOOOOOO.

Ok so I just had a major writing breakthrough this morning before writing this chapter and damn I am proud.

I finished writing the ending for this story (which I saved as a draft since this story isn't done yet) and I lowkey started crying.

So many feelings and emotions in the ending.

Y'all better be ready for the final chapter cause it's a real doozy.

My mission is to make y'all cry 😈😈
