SIKE BITCHES

YOU THOUGHT HAH!

"(y/n)! We're home!" I sob out hearing my mum call out for me, watching as she and my sister walk into the house while the latter talked about some drama that happened at her school. The scenery through the portal changes from the apartment hallway to the kitchen and-.

-wait a second.

I peer closer into the portal to see my laptop open on the kitchen counter.

Why is my laptop there, it's supposed to be here in Five's room.

I narrow my eyes at the laptop screen when I read what was on it. "What the fuck?"

"What, what's wrong?" Klaus peers into the portal with me, trying to see what I see

"Why the hell does my work say Hospitality? I'm doing a business course. Plus my laptop is here in Five's room-"

"-hey hey!" I go rigid like frozen cold water was dumped all over me, hearing another voice but it was scaringly familiar.

"Oh no." I hear Five mumble behind me and I stumble back in shock, seeing another me walk into the kitchen with an empty bowl of noodles.

"What... That's me, but I'm here..." I watch this other version of me interact with my family and I jump forward to only press up against the portal but I couldn't push past the barrier. "I can't go through!" I push as hard as I could but I never went through the portal, my hands just bounced off like it was some sort of big balloon.

My breathing quickened and I teared up, fisting my hands and I step back away from Five when he approached me. "(y/n)..." he frowns sadly with guilt and I try not to cry as I just watched this nightmare play in front of me.

"It's like I never existed there. It's like my timeline was just wiped clean and now some different version of me is living my life... I don't exist there anymore..."

"I'm sorry dear." Reggie walks up to me with regret in his eyes and I look at him with wide eyes, remembering what he said back in Dallas after the dinner.

"You knew? You knew I couldn't go home!?" I hissed at him.

"I had my suspicions at first. When you first came here, you were transparent for a reason. You still existed in your universe but as you stayed here, you were slowly becoming physical and now you exist here. A part of this universe."

"(y/n), I'm so sorry." Five whispers and I just close my eyes.

I just didn't know what to think anymore and heaved out in defeat. "Five, grab those cords if you can." he blinks at me in confusion and quickly grabs a phone charger and a laptop charger for me.

"(y/n)?" Luther steps cautiously towards me with a frown and I look at him.

"I... I guess I'm not going anywhere." I smile at the family weakly and they look at me sadly but Klaus jumps in the air in excitement

"Yes! More fun time with my Crazy!"

"I'm so sorry (y/n). I should've tried to open a portal for you sooner if I knew you were going to be stuck here for the rest of your life. I should've done something!" Five groans, running his fingers through his hair and I hear him mumbling to himself about equations as he started pacing in front of me. "I should've tried at least! I should've-"

"-Five." I grab hold of him to stop him and I turn him around to face me. "Like we talked about before, if you can't get me home, I can stay here with you."

"I know, but your family-"

"-god, I'll miss them a lot I know but at least now, I can stay with you. As long as you'll have me." I chuckle softly and he beams at me.

"We'll love to have you. You're part of the family now." Five nods and I turn to watch as I see the faces of my family for the last time before the portal closes and it disappears.

I...

I suddenly got hit with the realisation that they were gone and my heart sunk to my stomach, gulping back the tears as I tried to smile at the Hargreeves family that welcomed me with open arms.

"Crazy can stay!" Klaus exclaims happily and rushes to me, hugging me tightly as he picked me up and swung me around like a doll.

"Klaus! Put her down!" Five hisses and his brother pouts before setting me back down on my feet. I groan from the slight vertigo.

"Let me show you the tonnes of free bedrooms we have!" The lanky man grabs hold of my hand and quickly pulls me away, turning back to look at Five who smiles at me softly but I couldn't help the sinking feeling in my stomach seeing the guilt in his eyes before I lost sight of him.

"Klaus-" I try to stop him, to try and see what was wrong with his brother but the Seance was too busy showing me all the rooms so I could have my pick. "I need to-" he dragged me up and down the stairs of the mansion, even showing me the floor where the siblings all roomed.

"And here's Five's bedroom! He preferred to be away from the rest of us but that means you can have the bedroom next to his!" Klaus says and he opens the spare bedroom next to his brothers, a plain-looking room but it was more of a lovely guest room compared to the others. It was definitely suitable for someone to stay in temporarily. A canopy bed, large wardrobe, decent sized bathroom with a toilet, sink, bathtub and shower, a vanity desk, windows, and sliding door wardrobe too. It was more modern compared to the Hargreeves rooms but I guess they had it in more simpler times. The other rooms must have been updated to match the era now.

"It's perfect." I nod, smiling at Klaus and he claps his hands, mumbling something about finding clothes for me to wear and stealing his sister's PJs for me to wear for tonight before he dashes off. I blinked but was deterred by the excitable man, leaning back to peer into Five's bedroom. I walk in and just stop for a moment to look around.

I didn't have the chance to look around the first time I dropped in and I slowly walk around as I admired the little trinkets and books he had. There were stacks of scientific books stashed in the corner, toys and little knickknacks on top of his wardrobe. I picked up a little toy train ontop of his wardrobe, smiling at the colourful toy. It still looked new and my smile falters knowing he never got to play with other kids his age before he got trapped. I move to wipe away the dust with some tissues, setting it back on his wardrobe and cleaning the rest of his little toys. There was a baseball and a glove, a Rubik's cube, and some silver jacks and marbles in a net bag. His desk was obviously neat with notebooks on the side, a can of pens and pencils and more science books. But there were a few drawings hidden beneath the notebooks. Maybe from Vanya, or maybe he drew them, or maybe they both did together.

I moved to carefully sit on his bed, the sheets cold and dusty as well. I looked up at the ceiling, tilting my head to see pins stuck into the ceiling and strings mapping out constellations.

The room may look cold and unloved but there was a faint essence of a child, of a little boy who had a childhood.

Had.

I frown and stand up to walk to the bedroom doorway, peering down the hallway and just listening in to the siblings celebrating. It didn't seem like Five was going to come up so I quickly went back to his bed and stripped it of its dusty linens, going to his wardrobe to find new ones and reset his bed again. I didn't know where the cleaning tools were so I used the the old sheets to dust down the room as best as I could, wiping down the surface and opening the window to get in fresh air. I took the dirty stuff and lugged it back into my room, shutting the door closed so no one would know what I did. I went back to Five's bedroom and tried to clean up as best as I could, trying to bring his room back to life as if it was just waiting for him on any normal day. It wouldn't remind him that he was gone for years, it wouldn't remind him that he had been trapped.

He was back and that's all that mattered.

"(Y/n)-!"

"-shit! Don't scare me like that!" I hiss in fright from whoever called for me, turning around to see Vanya chuckling while she held some clothes for me.

"Sorry. Allison and I got some of our old clothes when we were younger and thought that you can have something to wear for tonight before we take you to get your own stuff."

"You didn't have to."

"I think we did. Your clothes are all dusty! What did you do?" She laughs softly and I brush my clothes in embarrassment.

"I was just cleaning my room. Maybe I should take these." I take the clothes, trying not to get them dirty. "Thank you so much. By the way, do you know where the laundry room is or cleaning tools?"

"I think they're on this floor. Just further down the hallway. It's the third door to your left for the cleaning stuff and fourth door to your right for the laundry room."

"Thanks! I think I'll just go take a shower. I'm pretty tired after everything."

"I get it. Diego is ordering dinner for us downstairs so join us when you're ready."

"I will. Thank you." Vanya smiles and walks down the stairs and I wait till she's gone to enter my bedroom to put the clothes down on my bed before leaving for the cleaning tools. I grab what I needed and headed back to Fives room, shutting the door and finally doing a proper clean. Wiping down the surfaces and his toys, vacuuming the floor and the carpets, and finally dusting the corners and the walls. It was the best I could and I rush to put everything away before grabbing the dirty bed linen from my room and stuffing them in a washing machine. I didn't realise how dark it got and rushed to wash up. I grimace as I had to shower with my bandaged body, freshening up what I could before stepping out with a towel wrapped around me. I knew I had to refresh the bandages again but I was struggling to just do it with one arm.

I sat on the edge of the bathtub trying to wrap fresh gauze on my arm with one hand but I was failing miserably. "(y/n)-?"

"-get out!" I scream out when the bathroom door suddenly opens to reveal Five and he quickly shuts the door again with wide eyes. There was a moment of silence and I turned red thinking that he saw me.

"(y/n)...?" he mumbles on the other side of the door and I hold the towel around me tighter.

"Yeah...?"

"...do you need help?"

"No...?"

"I know that's a lie."

"I'll get Allison or Vanya to help me."

How!? You can't go downstairs like this!

Ask Five to get them-

"-everyone went to bed early tonight. We're all exhausted."

"Oh..."

Good planning...

I suddenly hear a whoosh and I turn red when Five appears in the bathroom. "Five-!" I gasp when he picks me up and we teleport back out into my bedroom, him setting me down on the bed. "What are you doing!?"

"What do you think I'm doing?" he rolls his eyes as he walks into my bathroom with an aid kit and comes back to set it down next to me, teleporting away and reappearing with a bowl of steaming towels.

"You don't have to-"

"-just... turn around and I'll do the rest." he whispers softly and I nod hesitantly as I turn around with my back to him. I look up at him as he stood next to me, passing me another towel to cover myself before he took his blazer and sweater off. He unbuttoned his cuffs and rolled up his sleeves, pulling his tie off before settling down behind me so my back was to him. I hold the extra towel to cover my front as the one around me dropped to cover me from the hips down, holding my breath and I shiver when I suddenly feel his cold fingers brush my hair over one shoulder. "If it's too much, tell me." he breathes out softly against my shoulder and a violent shudder spikes down my spine when he gently places one of those steamed towels on my back.

Five was being careful as he gently wipes the areas down where I had the holes on me, making sure he didn't hurt me as his fingers gently brushed over my skin. My breath hitches when he moves the towel down the middle of my spine, arching into him and holding back my stutters from him running over my waist and hips. I tilt my head away from him with a soft sigh when he gently wipes my neck, a heavy red blush on my face when he leans closer and gently wipes the towel down my arm, his breath fanning my neck and I shiver. I blink at him in shock as he moved to wipe my other arm, looking up at him this time and he glances down at me.

He quickly moves away and I breathe out softly. "Are you ok to do the rest? I can wait outside and come back to help with the gauze on your arms."

"Yeah, yeah I can do the rest." he simply nods and blinks outside, letting me take in a deep breath. I brush off the heat and easily wipe down the rest of my body, grimacing at the wounds and how terrible they look but it seemed that a few of them were healing slowly. I don't know how and I won't question it. Once I was done, I wrap the towel around me again before calling out for Five to come back and he blinks back inside. He sits down in front of me this time, holding his hand out and I look at him in surprise that he was waiting for me to give him my arm, a way to wait for my permission. I smile softly and rest my arm in his hand to let him wrap the gauze around me.

We didn't say anything, didn't know what to say while he wrapped up both my arms but I couldn't help but watch him the entire time. It was impossible to know what was going through his head, face blank but my heart beat faster seeing a kind of softness in his eyes when he looks at me. He moved to sit down behind me this time and I knew to lower the towel, holding the end of the gauze in front of my chest and passing it to him behind me to wrap my back before handing it back to me so I could wrap the front. I didn't have to completely cover myself and finished clipping the gauze in, just covering the areas that had the wounds but I couldn't help but shiver when I felt his fingers run down the middle of my spine.

I hold my breath when I turn to look at Five as he looks at me, his fingers brushing against the apple of my cheek before running down my jaw and neck. I was afraid to say something, to break the moment as I held the towel in front of me tightly with flushed cheeks.

I didn't want him to pull away...

His eyes flick down on my face before he brushes my hair back, my heart jumping as he leans down closer while holding my cheek. "Five..." I barely whisper but it makes him look at me and I suddenly see guilt in his eyes. "What's wrong...?" I hold his hands and he leans his forehead on mine. I felt terrible that I didn't know what was hurting him inside and it hurt more that he stood up from the bed away from me, whispering to me before he left my bedroom.

"I'm sorry (y/n)..."
