"Sweetheart, let's just take a minute and think things through before jumping to find your family." Five says softly as he follows after me while I looked for Klaus, blinking every now and then to stand in front of me but I just avoid him. "We can't just brush over the fact that you have powers! And that your Doppel is out to get you! Did you just forget about that!?" Five grabs my shoulders so I would stop.
He spoke softly and firmly as if he didn't want to be harsh, but just wanted me to listen to him and I frown. "Five, we don't have the time-"
"-yes we do." he holds my face gently so I would look at him. "We don't have to rush anymore. There's no apocalypse." He whispers. "Let's sort things out one by one. Your evil Doppel is first, we need to figure out how to get rid of her." He sighs out and I nod but I was more focused on seeing my family. "Before we see your family. I don't want you getting hurt anymore than you have now ok. Please." He urges me, a tone of begging in his voice and I notice worry in his eyes.
But I just wanted to see them again. I wanted to hug my mum and see my sister, hell, even my dad. I needed to see them. I'd do anything.
I hoped Five would understand. He did everything in his power to get back to his family. I just wish he would help me get back to mine.
He Wouldn't Understand.
"No, no I get it. That's why I'm trying to find Klaus. See if he knows anything about evil ghosts" I lied.
I lied to him again and I didn't know why. Why did I feel like I had to go behind his back, feel like he wasn't in my side for this. So I lied to him.
Five narrows his eyes at me like he didn't believe me but lets me go, taking hold of my hand in his. "Ok, as long as we go to him to see how we can get rid of the evil ghost." Five blinks us to the bar and Klaus screams as we pop up right next to him at the buffet in the foyer.
"Crazy! Little brother! Just the two I was looking for!"
"We're here. Now Klaus, you should know a way to get rid of the ghost haunting (y/n)." My little assassin orders and Klaus looks at us blankly like he has no idea what his brother is talking about but then claps.
"Ohhh! Right your possession. Yeah, I know a way. You have to stay optimistic at all times. Positive vibes only." He peace signs me and I grimace. "Ghosts like to attach themselves to negative energy."
"So I have to stay a preppy happy-go-lucky annoying bitch for the rest of my life!? Yeah I'd rather not." I shudder and Five sighs out in annoyance.
"Sorry bestie but that's all you can do-" Klaus freezes before a large grin spreads across his face. "Actually, I may know just the person to help."
"Great, where are they?" Five asks.
"Yeah not close by, we may have to take a bit of a road trip."
"What are you talking about?" my boyfriend narrows his eyes at his taller brother.
"I'm talking about a sojourn to the countryside. You, your little lover and me, the wind in our hair. The Three Musketeers on the open road!"
"Sojourn?" I mumble out in question.
"It means a temporary stay." Five chuckles lowly as he kisses my neck.
"Thanks, my handsome dictionary." I pinch his chin and he rolls his eyes with a smile before we both go back to paying attention to Klaus who was still going on about the road trip.
"Thelma and Louise on the open road plus a little extra." Klaus chuckles as I narrow my eyes at him.
"You know they die in the end, right?" Five says.
"Holding hands, living our best life, my little cherubs!" Klaus begs us when we start to walk to the foyer. "Listen to me. I nearly died from Luther's sleep farts last night."
I scrunch my face at that fact. "I did not want to know that."
"We need to get out of here, get some fresh air!"
"Ok, I'll bite. Why us, Klaus?" Five asks.
"Cause you're my favourite brother and my favourite crazy! And because you said... you said you're retired, and that's what retired people do." Klaus pulls me by my arm to loop around it, swinging it. "And don't you both deserve some fun?"
I look at my boyfriend when his attention was taken by the water tank and I wonder what was going through his head. "There's no lobsters."
"What do you mean?" I look at the empty tank.
"There were three lobsters in that tank a minute ago" Five tells me.
"Was there...? I don't really pay attention."
"Yeah, well, you know, maybe Chet blended 'em into a s morning smoothie."
"That's disgusting Klaus." I gag. "Anyway I'm down. I'm starting to feel claustrophobic in this hotel the longer I'm trapped inside." Klaus hi-fives me and we both look at Five who sighs in defeat as his two favourite people give him puppy dog eyes.
"Ok, we can go. As long as it makes (y/n) better."
"Yes!" Klaus and I jump in excitement.
"You two are the death of me I swear." Five chuckles. "Go to the car sweetheart, I'm going to go grab some things." He says as he kisses my cheek and blinks away, Klaus and I heading to the car.
"So where are we going?" I ask and the lanky man child shrugs.
"Ok, I may have lied. I don't know anyone who can help your little possession problem.
"Klaus!" I gasp.
"I'm sorry! I just needed my two favourite people to support me when I go find my mum."
I freeze from his words, looking at him in shock. "Wait, you know where your mum is!?"
Holy shit! Do we finally get to see the kid's mums this season!? Do I finally get to meet Five's mum!?
Oh my god, we finally get to see what they all look like!
"Klaus that's amazing! I can't wait to meet your mum!" His eyes get starry with appreciation seeing how excited I was. "Hey, if we're going family hunting, can we go pay a visit to mine?" Klaus gasps, grabbing my shoulders in excitement now.
"You found where your family is!?" I nod and he squeals. "I get to see Crazy's family! They're gonna meet your bestie and your boyfriend!" Klaus jumps in the car all excited and I hop into the back.
"Ok, but don't tell Five, he's not all happy about meeting my family plan." I tell my bestie.
"Let's surprise him! We'll go to your family's place first." I nod and hand Klaus my phone to where the address was on.
"Ok," I jump when Five pops up next to me in the car with a map. "Let's get this show on the road!" He grins as he leans back while pulling me close next to him, Klaus reviving the car awake and speeding down the road.
"We're just going to make a quick pit stop somewhere and we can go have your retirement fun!" Klaus says and Five nods, holding my jaw to kiss me.
"Fine by me." he mumbles against my lips and I blush, taking his hat to block out faces as I lean up to kiss him again deeply.
"Love, we're here." I tilt my head away with a soft groan when I get woken up by Five, him kissing my shoulder before we both sit up. I look at him and see that his brows were furrowed in confusion and I turn to see that he was looking at the house we parked in front of. "And where exactly are we?" Klaus and I look at each other before turning to Five who was staring at us.
"We may or may not have arrived at Crazy's house." My boyfriend jolts up straight.
"(y/n)!" He scolds me.
"I'm sorry! I just needed to see them! It's been months Five... I miss my parents and my sister..." he frowns at me but nods in understanding.
"Ok, we can go see them. Even if I think it's a bad idea."
"Hey, maybe nothing is going to happen and I can introduce you to them as my boyfriend." I smile shyly and Five blushes, his ears turning red at the idea of meeting my family. Technically, this was the next step of any relationship, right? Meeting the parents.
"Sweetheart, I'm not sure if I should-"
"-come on love, I really want you to meet them." I layer on the sweetness of my pet name for him and he melts, letting me pull him out of the car as we stand in front of the house.
"Alright fine. Maybe this way, I can ask your dad for your hand in marriage." Five chuckles and I wack his arm with a gasp.
"Don't joke about that!" I blush and he steals a quick kiss from me. "We're not even in our 20's!"
"You both look so nervous it's adorable." Klaus giggles as he butts in, standing next to us.
"Ok, but do we say? Do I just go up and knock on the door? Do we pretend we're here to talk about our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ? Do you think they might actually know me-"
"-(y/n)?" I go rigid when I hear a familiar voice cut me off and my chest pains. Five squeezes my hand tightly, letting me know he was there for me as I turn around to see my sister. I gasp, a smile growing on my face as she waves at me, walking up to the house in her school uniform. She looked exactly the same as the last time I saw her, except for the new American uniform.
She knows who I am!
"Hey..." I wave back to her and she smiles, unlocking the door for us.
"Why are you standing outside for? Hurry up and get in!" I look at Five and Klaus who shrug and they follow me into the house. I didn't recognise the place at all and a weird feeling settled in my stomach. "I thought you were coming tomorrow. Aren't you busy with uni and stuff? And who're your friends?" my sister rattled on questions, looking at Five and Klaus who waved shyly at her from behind me.
"Uh, not at the moment." I answer vaguely. "Oh, this is Klaus, my friend-"
"-best friend!" He corrects me and I chuckle.
"Yes, my best friend and this is Five, my boyfriend." my sisters jaw drops when she notices us holding hands and she lets out a loud squeal in happiness.
"Holy fucking shit! About time! I thought you would never get a boyfriend!" Five jumps back lightly from my energetic sibling, "MUM! (Y/N)'S HERE AND SHE BROUGHT HER BEST FRIEND AND HER BOYFRIEND!"
"For fucks sake..." I sigh in embarrassment. "Sorry guys." I fluster as I look at the boys.
"I'm not!" Klaus skips further into the house and I look at Five who was smirking at me.
"Your family is interesting so far." I groan out as he tugs me to follow after Klaus, ending up in the dining room connected to the kitchen. Mum was in the kitchen as my sister was raiding the fridge but I saw someone who I never thought I would see under the same roof as my mum and sister.
"Why is he here?" I sneer silently, glaring at my dad as he read the newspaper.
"What do you mean?" Five mumbles in my ear.
"My parents are divorced and separated. Dad was abusive, verbally and physically until the divorce. He stopped when he became religious and I lived wth my mum and sister while he lived somewhere else. So why-" I quickly shut up when I see mum talk to my dad softly, a smile on both of their faces as they looked at each other with warmth.
My anger dissipates and I was left in surprise to see mum and dad looking at each other with love instead of pure hate and resentment for each other. I started tearing up, feeling like my family was finally back together again before the drama, the cheating, the screaming arguments and the financial battles. I finally had a happy family like I wished I had when I was 10...
