Five and I were hiding out in an empty office diagonally off away from the Handlers office, waiting for Dot to leave her office. I was floating a few feet up from the ground, peering through the high open windows in the wall with my legs crossed underneath me. I sigh out and turn around to face Five who was awfully quiet, but I narrow my eyes at him when I find him looking at me already. He had the smuggest smirk on his face as he stared at me, leaning back against a table as he rested his hands on the ledge.
I glare at him but that makes him smirk even wider, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "All those things you said, just to get me to snap, yet you failed." he leans off against the table and walks towards me. My unlucky ass had to fall midair again and Five catches me, setting me down on the ground and I quickly takes a step back out from his hands. My breath hitches when my back collides against the wall, my face heating up when he steps closer to me. I look up at him with wide eyes when he leans his face closer to mine, his arm pinned against the wall above me as the other was in his pocket. He chuckles softly when I look away bashfully, shuddering when he grabs hold of my waist and brushes his lips against my ear. "I guess you had more bark than bite."
I gasp sharply when he bites down on my neck, hissing softly when I feel him smile against my skin. "Knock it off Five!" I growl out in both annoyance and from being flustered, shoving the boy away from me but he suddenly grabs the back of my neck harshly. I hiss in slight pain this time when his fingers grip my hair and he pulls me up close to his face as I hold his wrist, whimpering for him to let me go.
"And yet, I managed to do more than just break you." he grins down at me, a whine leaving my lips when his grip tightens and he pulls me up on my tip toes. I blush red from the sound that leaves me but it makes him smile wider. "You like this, don't you?" he runs his fingers down my outstretched neck, tapping along to the frantically fast-pacing heartbeat.
"Five stop it!" he lets me go when I pry his hand off me, ducking away from him and heading towards the door. My face and body was burning, being extra sensitively aware of him when he presses up against my back behind me to open the door for me before I rush out of it to get air.
"Why should I? I learned so much from you." Five chuckles lowly and I ignore him.
"Why did you make the bet anyway?" I turn to look over at him and he looks away from me, swearing in my head to kill Klaus once I get my hands on him. I notice the tip of Five's ears start to turn pink along with his cheeks and I grin, finally understanding. "Klaus was about to spill a secret of yours huh? Something so big that you had to make a bet with him."
"There's Dot!" he completely dodges my question and I peer past the doorway to see Herb walking behind her.
"Take out the candies you took from the Handler. Now!"
"Why-"
"-they're trackers. Put them in Herb's pocket, quick!" I yell and Five does what I say before we discreetly follow Dot towards the tube room where she was heading to. He teleports behind a wall to listen in to what Dot was telling Gloria while I head to the typewriter. Dot finally leaves and Five teleports behind Gloria to knock her out cold with a stapler. "That's a badass stapler." I muse and he rolls his eyes before he drags Gloria's body out of the way, getting into the seat next to me to unscrew the capsule and read the note that was inside.
'𝚁𝚎𝚊𝚜𝚜𝚒𝚐𝚗𝚖𝚎𝚗𝚝: 𝙿𝚛𝚘𝚝𝚎𝚌𝚝 𝙷𝚊𝚛𝚘𝚕𝚍 𝙹𝚎𝚗𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚜.'
"I wonder what would happen if you sent out an exterminate notification for Jenkins instead of getting Hazel and Cha-Cha to kill each other?" I mumble out to myself and Five looks at me with wide eyes. "Oh shit! You were not meant to hear that! Continue what you're doing." I step back and let him do his thing but he only writes out one letter. "Wait Five, where's the other-"
"-your idea is much better. They can kill him off for us." he quickly puts the note in the tube and I grab his arm to try and stop him but he sends it off!
"You didn't..." He turns back to me and I facepalm. "You changed a whole sequence of events that are supposed to happen!" I shriek out and I start pacing, lowkey freaking out at the damage I caused. "What have I done!?"
"Where's Gloria?" I scream and jump back in fright, seeing the Handler standing right in front of me by the doorway.
"Don't know. Couldn't find her anywhere." I move to stand beside Five and we all hear Gloria groan out in pain.
Thanks for ratting us out granny.
"You're a great disappointment to me." the Handler says to Five but then looks directly at me and sudden fear washes over me. "And you're more of a troublesome threat than I anticipated."
"Oh, sweet mother of baby Jesus she can see me!" I shriek, hiding behind Five as she glares at me.
"How can you see her?" he sneers at her, blocking me from view.
"Oh, I can't. And I most definitely can not hear her but I know that you brought someone here, Five. She warps the space around her since she's not meant to be here." he holds up an arm, protecting me as the Handler takes out a gun. "You can't change what's to come Five. I truly find it so odd that you can't shed this fantasy! You're a first-rate pragmatist! You belong here with us."
"I don't belong anywhere, thanks to you! You made me a killer!" I grip Five's Blazer, leaning my head on his back as he held my hand behind his back.
"You were always a killer."
"No, you're not..." I whisper into his back and he squeezes my hand in response before he quickly teleports us away from the Handler when she starts shooting. He holds me to his chest as we hid in between some operating tables. "Here." I hand him a few grenades and a gun that I managed to nab, peering past the table to see the Handler blocking the exit as she called out for Five.
"You need to get away." he whispers and I look at him, shaking my head.
"I'm not leaving you." I hiss lowly and he narrows his eyes at me.
"Too bad." He mimics me, pushing a cart to gain the Handler's attention before teleporting us behind her to drop me off. I quickly duck down when she turns around to shoot at us and Five teleports away to grab her attention on him instead, landing opposite from in front of me so The Handler's back was to me.
"Five!" I falter when he breathes out hard, sweating lightly and holding onto the operating tables from overexerting himself with all the spacial jumping.
"You can't keep this up, Five. We both know that even you have a limit." Five looked exhausted and he stared at me, shaking his head to stop me from doing anything stupid. "I saved you from a lifetime of being alone. You owe me!" the Handler presses the trigger but no bullets fly out.
"Use the grenade!" I call out to Five before he teleports to stand in front of me.
"I do owe a debt." He smirks at The Handler, holding the grenade in his hand and pulling the pin out. "But it's not to you." He waves it at her before rolling it towards her feet. He quickly grabs me and runs out of the room, letting out a scream in fear when the room suddenly bursts into flames with a loud explosion. He held my head against his chest protectively, leaning over me away from the flames until it died down.
I didn't have any time to think when I get pulled into a whirl of blue, landing in the briefcase room when Five teleported us inside. He steals one of the suitcases and sets the time, taking out another grenade and dropping it in the room. He holds my hand tightly and drags me out, running away from the room before it explodes.
"I'm going to be sick-" Five holds me close and we teleport again. "-fuck!" The force of the explosion sends us flying as we teleport back into the Hargreeves mansion. I skid across the floor and collide against the couch which causes it to tumble over, Five landing on the bar counter and face-planting on the briefcase.
"(y/n)!" he groans out in pain and ignores his siblings asking if he was ok, tumbling off the counter and stumbling towards me as I lay on the floor. My ears were ringing and everything was fuzzy, my head hurting. In fact, everything was hurting. "Are you ok!?" My body was pounding with pain and I blink to try and focus on Five when he helped me sit up.
"I guess...?" I groan out as I rub my head, wincing in pain when he suddenly picks me up bridal style and gently sets me down on another couch.
Klaus suddenly rushes over with a worried look on his face. "Dear, where does it hurt?" he fusses over me and I look at him confused. "Why are you staring at me like that?"
"You gave me a new nickname." Klaus just smiles at me while Diego, Allison and Luther surround us.
"Five, where have you been?" Luther asks but Allison just points at the fallen couch with wide eyes.
"Wait no, who is (y/n) and how the hell did that couch just move!?" she exclaims and the boys all look at each other before looking at her.
"Five's girlfriend."
"An all-knowing ghost girl."
"Some chick from another universe." All three physically grown men besides Five answer at the same time, confusing Allison.
"She's Five's girlfriend." Klaus quickly pipes up and everyone looks at him in shock.
"Five, having a girlfriend?" Allison snorts. "I can't see that happening." he glares at her and she raises her hands in defeat. "But seriously. Where is she?"
"She's sitting next to Five right in front of you. She's a ghost." Klaus plops himself next to me and drapes an arm around my shoulder while Allison just looks dumbfounded.
"Are you still high?" she asks him and he pouts at her response.
"Sadly no. Klaus is telling the truth." Diego says and Allison looks at him with wide eyes. "Five brought her here when he time travelled back to us."
"How many times has this just been explained right now?" I yawn out tiredly, leaning my head on Five's shoulder.
"I don't know. Five times maybe?" he answers back and I chuckle as Allison just looks at her brother like he's crazy.
"Good timing, terrible pun." he shrugs and takes his blazer off, helping me put it on and I stand up from the couch.
Allison steps back in shock as I cross my arms in front of my chest. "Your blazer..." She mumbles in shock. "So she really is here. Oh my god."
"Five can you tell her that I was also the one that called her out on Vanya's phone." Five raises a brow at me but repeats my words, stealing Allison's coffee and chugging it down after.
