(y/n) - your name

"So (y/f/n), tell me about the woman in front of me." I snort lightly at the sentence, genuinely amused.
"Is this your way of starting a conversation? Really?" Five rolls his eyes at me playfully.
"Well I want to get to know my girlfriend more. Make sure I'm not living with a secret murderer who escaped prison." I shake my head at his answer.
"How could I ever be a murderer when I lack the social skills to talk to someone without freaking out and gain their trust just to kill them? Plus I'm too lazy to do that, too much effort." He laughs at my reply and I smile warmly, admiring his smile. He had been so happy and free these days, only filled with laughter and smiles and it made me so happy to see him at ease now. It was a rare occurrence now to not see his dimple every time he smiled or hear him laugh happily.
He was finally living...
"Plus why would I wait this long to admit that, even if I was a murderer. We've been living together for roughly 4 months now." I snicker.
"Maybe you're in it for the long game." He grins.
"Are you?" I ask Five in a more softer and serious tone and he blushes, nodding eagerly. "Ok, if I tell you more about me, you have to tell me more about you."
"You already know pretty much everything about me." he says but I shake my head.
"Not everything, just whatever the show has shown me. I want to know you properly, without the screen, without the show. Whatever is true about you or what makes you Five Hargreeves, I want to know directly from you only." my boyfriend's eyes widen at my words and he softens. "I don't want to know the shows Five Hargreeves, I want to know my boyfriend as Five Hagreeves." I smile at him and he looks at me lovingly.
"Well, then I agree with the deal. I'll tell you about me and you tell me about you." I nod happily. "Ok well, for starters, I like pineapple on pizza." I blink for a minute, my brain registering that piece of information.
"EXCUSE ME WHAT!?" he shrugs like it was nothing.
"I blame Klaus. He converted me into liking it."
"Boi what!?" I exclaim. "I honestly thought you might be strict on pizza toppings. I didn't think you would like pineapple cause I do too. I mean, I won't exactly ask for it but if it's there, I'll eat it. I'm not too fussy about it." I shrug and Five chuckles at my answer.
The server soon comes by with our orders and we eat together happily, talking about our life and memories, mostly me talking about the few happy ones I had while Five listened. He unfortunately didn't have much to look back on and neither did I, accidentally unloading on him about my parent's divorce, my mum cheating behind my dad's back, losing our house because of financial issues and just trying to stay afloat and act like a normal kid when all this unloaded on me when I was 10.
I didn't mind talking about it... it's just I never really spoke to anyone about it but Five listened to me. I didn't cry... I just unloaded everything and he happily took it all until he talked about him going through the apocalypse. He spilled everything off from his chest about that nightmarish moment in his life and I listened quietly to him, letting him unravel and free himself from that trauma. I held his hand the entire time, letting him know I was here until I stood up and walked over to him to hug him. I leaned over him protectively, his head laying against my chest as I ran my fingers through his hair.
"I'm not going anywhere..." I mumble softly, curling over him to just protect him from everything. His hands grip the back of my dress tightly and I hold him tight until he moved back to look at me, letting me wipe the tears from his cheeks softly before kissing his forehead.
"I wish I met you sooner... before I jumped in 2002."
"You would've met me when I was just born." I joke, chuckling softly and Five shakes his head with a smile.
"So I'm just inherently going to be older than you one way or another?"
"Yes, yes you are." I lean back, holding my sweet assassins face and he leans into my touch. The server suddenly comes back, asking if we were all done and Five nods, standing up with me as we grab our stuff to follow the server to pay. We walked out of the restaurant together once we were done, my boyfriend letting me in the car first before he did and we drive off to the next stop. "So what's the next stop?"
"Well what do you think about the beach?" He asks.
"We're not going skinny dipping are we?"
"No! Unless-"
"-nope! No I'm good." I raise my hands and Five chuckles.
"You'll see when we get there." he says, keeping up the mystery and I wondered what we were going to do at a beach until we stopped in front of an open beach bar. I gasp seeing a large dance floor with people dancing together, lights streaming across the beach and colourful drinks being ordered.
"How do you find these places!? I used to live here and even I didn't know about this!?"
"I'm just better at researching than you are sweetheart."
"Haha very funny old man."
Five parks the car and I quickly jump out of the car in excitement. "Come on, come on, come on!" I pull on his arm as he locks the door.
"All right, my love. I'm coming." He laughs softly, holding mg hand and letting me pull him to the beach. I walked around in awe of the open beach bar, holding Five's hand as he led me to the bar first. We weaved around the people dancing on the dance floor, chuckling at how enthusiastic everyone was when the beat dropped. "So what will it be sweetheart?" I snicker as my boyfriend leans against the counter, trying to be Sauve and cool.
"Why don't you surprise me?" He nods, calling over the bartender and placing an order for two drinks, a cocktail for me and neat whiskey for him. Beautiful Mistakes started playing over the speakers and I sang to the lyrics softly, my boyfriend smiling at me. He grabbed my hand and spun me around under his arm, making me laugh happily. "How did the high-driven and shy boy I used to know in the last 3 seasons turn out to be such a sweet and charismatic man?" I raise a brow at Five, a grin on my face and he fake thinks with his fingers on his chin.
"I've always been sweet and charismatic. Those are my best traits." He winks and I shake my head.
"Please, your hormones took over you in season 3, you were a shy possessive in season 2, and you really didn't know what to do with me in season 1 being a ghost girl from another universe." Five chuckles lightly as he passed me my drink that was made, taking a sip of his whiskey.
"What can I say? You brought out the best in me."
"I didn't do that. You were already doing that on your own. I was just there when you needed someone to lean on." I shrug but my sweet assassin pulls me towards him gently and pecks my lips sweetly.
"And I'm glad you were there for me." He whispers, tapping my chin up and I blush. I really couldn't get over how handsome he was in his early 20s, lean and tall but strong. He towered over me and it made me flush to see him look down at me.
"I have to say, my wish to see you grow up really did come true..." I blush when Five raises a brow, a sly smile on his face.
"And?"
"Boy did I get lucky, so much better than what I expected." I hide behind my glass, taking a drink of my cold cocktail to cool my nerves.
"Really now?" The sly smile on his face grew as he stood in front of me, my back pressing against the counter.
"Yeah... originally in the show your actor was like 14 ish so you were a baby in my eyes back then."
"A baby? Weren't you both the same age?"
"I was actually a year older than the actor so yes, he was a baby in my eyes. I never had a thing for Aidan." I shrug my shoulders.
I prefer my fictional men and I hit the jackpot.
"But I got lucky and I managed to be the one you fell in love with." Five says before kissing me softly and I hum blissfully against his lips from the sweet alcohol until he pulled away.
"Are you kidding, I think I'm the lucky one that you even have feelings for me. Thought relationships weren't your thing." I ask and he shrugs.
"I changed my mind a long while back and I'm glad I did. I would do it all over again to be able to call you mine." His words made me blush, his thumb stroking my cheek.
"Look who's being cheesy." Five just winks at me, taking a sip of his whiskey.
"You love it." He teases and I lean up to kiss his cheek before I finish my drink, eager to dance with him.
"Come on!" I tug on his arm and he sighs with a smile but he shakes his head, making me pout at him.
I shrug and go to the dance floor by myself, dancing to the beat and closing my eyes to enjoy the music. I sway my hips side to side with the beat as my dress flits around me, my hands running up my body and in my hair. I look over at Five who was watching from the bar with a dark look in his eyes, drinking his whiskey as his eyes ran up and down my body. I couldn't help shudder from the sudden flush of heat and he caught it, looking at me with a smirk that makes my cheeks flush. I roll my eyes and turn back to dance, humming to the beat until I feel hands on my hips making me sigh in heat.
Five presses close against my back, moving our hips to the beat as I lean my head back against his chest. The music and the lights drowned out everything around us except the feeling of him, the feeling of his hands bunching up my dress against my waist, the feeling of his lips brushing against my neck. His fingers spread to hold my midriff, squeezing me and I shudder as his lips press against my jaw. I reach up to tangle my fingers in Five's hair, the other holding his hip behind me and I turn my head to kiss him.
He bites down on my bottom lip playfully, suddenly spinning me around in his arms to immediately grab my lower back to pull me close to him. I giggle from the move, my hands hanging loosely around his neck as we moved side to side to the music. I bury my face against his chest, earning a soft laugh as Five leans his chin on top of my head. We danced together through the songs until we decided there were too many people so we went for a walk on the beach.
I hear my sweet assassin laugh as I take my shoes off, holding them as I ran across the beach to the water. "Hot, hot, hot!" I waddle into the water, splashing against it and just feeling like a child as I let the water wash over my feet.
It had been so long since I've been on a beach.
It was so peaceful tonight, feeling like nothing could hold me back as I watched the water rise and fall against the shore. The night sky blanketed over us with the stars twinkling and the moon hanging full above me, a salty breeze washing over me gently. I saw a little conch shell in the water in front of me, picking it up and washing the sand off it. It was an ordinary shell but it looked so perfect at the moment.
Everything felt perfect at the moment.
"Five-!" I yell when I suddenly get picked up from behind and spun around, squealing out as he laughed happily behind me until he finally set me down on my feet. "Don't do that! You scared me!" I smack his chest but even I couldn't help the smile on my face to see him so happy when I turn around to face him.
He kissed my nose and I flush pink at the sweet gesture. "I can't help it, you're too cute." He pinches my nose and I swat his hand away, stepping back with a mischievous smile on my face. "What are you planning-" I cut Five off as I splash him with the water, him gasping in shock until a sly smile grew on his face. "Oh, now you've done it sweetheart!" I gasp when he splashes me back with the water, me shaking it off and I splash him back harder which almost drenched him before I run off. I laugh as he chases after me, feeling like both our suppressed childhood selves were finally being at peace.
"I'm sorry!" I shriek, dodging Fives arms but he manages to catch up to me in no time and grabs me to spin us around, throwing me over his shoulder straight after. I laugh as I grip the back of his shirt, wriggling to get away when I realise he was walking further into the water. "Five I'm sorry!" my cheeks were burning when I feel his hands tighten around my thighs, my dress shifting up. "Don't drop me in the water!"
"That sounds like a fantastic idea sweetheart." He snickers and I beg him to put me down on the beach instead of dropping me in the water. He complies, laughing and sets me down on my feet as I smile at how happy he was. I suddenly pick up on the song that was playing in the background, looking over at the beach bar to recognise a voice singing.
"Running around with our own lives. Hope you know how I miss you."
"Is that Aidan's song?" I mumble out, hearing one of his songs for the first time ever. It sounded like Five was singing at first, I mean duh same person different universe.
"Crazy how our worlds collide. Please just know I miss you."
I turn back to Five to see him already looking at me softly and I smile at how fitting the song was. "Coincidence that this song is playing right now." My boyfriend chuckles lightly as he steps closer to me, holding my cheek.
"And I still believe that this could be us. Just hold on for another day."
"I hate to admit it but I guess the actor resembles how I feel for you perfectly." Five whispers, leaning his forehead against mine. I couldn't help the way my heart beat rapidly as he held me, the water crashing against the shore and the stars above us. It was such a cliche but loving moment that I would cherish forever, a smile on my face as I leaned up to kiss him. Five holds me close as he kissed me, my hands on his chest that move to brush his hair back as one of his hands held my cheek softly and the other wrapped around my waist.
"But can I still believe that this will work out? Just know how I miss you."
I couldn't believe that I managed to have a fairytale ending with the one person that I would love forever.
