South Korea
Gwanghwamun Palace, Seoul
I loved Seoul. It's a pretty eclectic mix of a city, really. You think of Seoul as this modern, rapidly growing city of K-Pop, which might be true, but there they have kept true to their roots too.
So in the middle of this bustling city, its modern mirrored buildings and giant intersections, you find Gwanghwamun Palace, and it's incredibly traditional and beautiful.
Idyllic or what! I fell in love with this pond and its summer house.
And just to prove how Seoul is a mash-up of modern and traditional, I found this small shrine surrounded by fancy office buildings. This picture pretty much sums up the city for me.
