Her sketch
Sooyun
I gasped on the air after waking up from my deep sleep— literally had the worst nightmare in my whole life after finding myself was sweating. Quickly, I sat up on my bed then caressed my hair back while I was trying to stable my breathing.
That dream was tragic.
Looking at the small coffee table beside me, I took my water bottle and took a few gulps of the water to calm me down. My brain was still panicking and I could still remember every scene of the dream. It was 3 in the morning and it was so quiet.
The dream I had was about a boy— a terrifying boy.
Did the dream have a meaning? Or it's just a normal nightmare? I wonder.

"Here, come on in." Sooyun said to Taehyung after inviting him to get into her house as they had some discussion about the next photoshoot session. Today was her off day so Taehyung didn't want to bother her by making her to go out so he decided to come over.
They went into the living room and sat next to each other. "Sorry if I'm bothering your holiday. I promise to leave as soon as I can." He told her.
On the other hand, Sooyun didn't even think that his presence in her house on her off day was disturbing her. In fact, she was glad that Taehyung was kind enough to come over. He actually helped her. "I'm the one who should be sorry for making you to come over. I told you that I'm fine if you want to meet me outside." She poured a cup of tea for him since she knows that he loves tea.
"I don't want to bother you on your off day to be honest but we have tons of photoshoots to do so, I'm sorry." He sighed and pulled out his laptop from the laptop bag. "Here are some locations that I think is suitable for the photoshoot. But I have to ask for your opinion first."
"Sure, show me."
After changing ideas and opinions, both of them finally agreed to make the photoshoot session at an amusement park where Sooyun's natural look can pop out. "I think the park will definitely be the place to do the photoshoot." Taehyung agreed with her.
"Yeah, me too."
She closed her notebook and glanced at her phone. "It's almost lunch time. Do you want something to eat? I think I can cook something for us." She came with an idea as she knew that Taehyung would be hungry as well.
"You cook?" He asked. "Sounds great. Just make anything easy. I eat everything."
"Okay."
While Sooyun was cooking in the kitchen, Taehyung tended to continue his work since he had nothing to do. There was no way he was going to help her because he didn't know anything about cooking.
He stretched out his body because he sat for too long on the couch and his body started to feel ache. Then he turned his head to his right and found a piece of paper laid on the table with a pencil on it. It looked like a sketch.
Being someone who loves art, Taehyung tended to look at the sketch and was amazed by the fact that Sooyun has a talent that she didn't tell anyone. The sketch was so good, literally perfect in his opinion. The way she sketched the picture was so on point, no mistake was spotted. But after looking at the sketch for a few seconds more, he starting to realise that the sketch might have a meaning behind it. It was a picture of a boy with his eyes covered with a cloth.
It had to be a meaning behind this sketch because normal people wouldn't suddenly want to sketch something like this. He looked at her who was cooking in the kitchen then looked back at the sketch. "But why do the lips look kinda familiar?" He mumbled. "Did she sketch someone that she knows? Or it was just a coincidence?" He titled his head and started rotating the thick art paper.
"I see that you're good at sketching." He spoke with his eyes still glued on the piece of paper.
She took a quick glance at Taehyung who was staring at her sketch then smiled at herself. "I was an art student in highschool. That's why." She casually said as she put in some onions and salt into the pan.
He nodded. "No wonder it turns out great." He kept on complimenting her skills.
Feeling curious of the fact that Sooyun, a girl with cheerish heart could sketch something so dark and somehow, traumatic. He wondered why the boy in her sketch looked like that so once she was done with cooking and everything was served on the table, he decided to ask her about that.
"May I ask you something?"
"Sure, what is it?" She nodded and finally sat down after putting a small portion of rice onto her plate. "You don't usually ask when you want to ask a question. Why?" She looked at him so that he knew that she was listening.
He cleared his throat before start talking, feeling kinda nervous to ask her that as he was afraid that she might think that he was trying to be busy body. But, he wanted to know. "It's about your sketch." He made eye contact with her for a second before looking at her sketch. "It's beautiful— but it seems like there's something going on with this sketch. Like, what was your inspiration when you made this? The vibe doesn't match yours. It's kinda shocking to me that a girl like you would sketch something like this." He made it clear.
Gladly, she didn't react the way he thought she would. She just sat on her seat and let him finish. Seconds later, she looked at him. "What do you think the sketch wants to say? Based on what you see here." She asked for his opinion because she wanted to see if he could give her a right answer.
He stared at the sketch for a few moment before looking back at her with an answer. "What I can tell is— he looks like he's trapped. I don't know what he is trapped in but it looks like he isn't free." He surprisingly came with the correct answer.
"Wow," Sooyun clapped her hands. "You really are an art lover. You can read the sketch." She was impressed.
"I don't know, but I saw him in my dream last night. And that was exactly what he had to go through. " She spoke then sipped on her hot tea.
He hummed. "You had a nightmare." He commented. "A sketch that's based on nightmares are rare."
She breathed. "You can keep it if you want. You seem to have interest on it anyways. Why don't you just have it?"
"That actually sounds good. I don't mind having a masterpiece of Bae Sooyun in my house. Thanks." He chuckled then quickly put it into his bag.
The way Taehyung quickly put the sketch into his bag was somehow suspicious. Sooyun noticed how he reacted to when she said that he could keep the sketch. She saw how Taehyung was staring at the sketch with a serious expression on.
He looked like he could relate to the sketch. Probably. It was only her guess. But she knew that something was going on in Taehyung's mind.
She realised that Taehyung was a very mysterious person. Everything he does was different from other people. The way he acted, the way he talked— gave a different vibes. Even when the first time she met him, the first moment she locked her eyes with him, she knew that there were a lot of things going on with him, that he chose to not tell anyone.
Taehyung was a secretive guy and Sooyun knew it. She sometimes questioned herself, why did she find herself tend to care about him. She could sense if there was something wrong with him or if he wasn't feeling well. It felt like a strong chemistry between her and him.
And now, she knew that Taehyung was thinking of something. But she didn't know what he was thinking or trying to do later. She sighed then looked at him. "Taehyung," she called his name softly and looked into his eyes once he turned to her.
"Hm?" He asked. It didn't sound like him.
"Are you okay? I know there's a lot of things are playing in your head." She was being honest as she think that it was the best way.
He blinked, but kept looking into her eyes just like what she was doing. "How do you know that?"
"I can see it in your eyes. Your mouth may can tell a lie. But your eyes tell everything." She stated rationally.
Listening to her reason, he scoffed softly. "Are you sure that you can read my eyes? I'm very hard to be read. Only certain people can actually read me." He chuckled to avoid from having an awkward moment with her.
"Then that means I'm the certain people. I can read you and I'm sure about that," she stated confidently. "But the thing that I don't know is, what made you feel that way? Is it because of my sketch? Tell me if something is wrong with it. Does this sketch is somehow, relatable to you? Or, does it remind you of someone?"
Then there was a moment of silence between the two of them. Taehyung was taking his time to proceed something on his mind. Even he, himself noticed that Sooyun could unexpectedly read him easily. She know if there was something not right. Even those who had know him for years couldn't tell.
He smiled out of nowhere then patted her head. "I think that we should just start eating. I'm hungry."
Hyerin didn't respond for a few seconds before nodding her head. "Sure."
Taehyung
I returned home after having lunch at her house. I took out the sketch from my bag then put it on the table so I could take another look at it. Yes. It was confirmed.
I was convinced to believe that it was him. It was really him.
She met him in her dream and she sketched him. How was it even possible and what did it supposed to mean? Please don't tell me that something bad is going to happen.
Please.
