The Stars Are No Different
Embraces me,
the lady of the night does:
choking me with her sequined stars.
She dragged me away
From the dawning of the day
Saying darkness was better.
But darkness was bitter.
Nobody noticed her
They only noticed
When she brought out the stars
Or hid them away.
She told me all these things
And convinced me
To stay.
Hanging onto her,
I'm stuck now.
She surrounded me in her embrace
Trapping me in place.
She called me her 'Moon'
I realize the stars
are no different
from me.
- y'all can have a second poem today because history exam got over and I'm so happy I couldn't give a damn about patience :)
