After Charlie and Vaggie's wedding night from last night, God has given the residents at the hotel a pool as a parting gift.

Everyone was excited and immediately got in the pool, while Velvette...she didn't like pools that much because of some...trauma.

Of course, she 𝘒𝘕𝘌𝘞 how to swim, she just doesn't do it anymore after that day in her past life.

While she was on her phone on one of the tanning chairs, Lute came up to her, shaking her feathers out from the water. "Hey, babe?" She softly called to. Velvette looked up and made eye contact with her girlfriend.

"Don't you wanna get in?" She asked.

Velvette looked at the pool and looked uncomfortable, to which she shook her head no. "...Not right now.." She says, crossing her arms and putting her phone on the small tall coffee table. She didn't want to relive a memory....

Lute was confused until she remembered Velvette telling her a past life story, and that got her sympathetic.

"Shit...sorry, doll. I completely forgot you have trauma from these things." She muttered, having her arms crossed.

Velvette smiled gently and got up, taking a step closer to Lute. "It's fine, pigeon. You forgot, that's all. Nothing too serious." She says. She stepped closer to the edge of the pool and looked at her reflection.

She shuddered and turned back before Angel and Cherri ran by, chasing each other. Unfortunately...Cherri accidentally pushed Velvette in, and that got the fashion overlord panicked, and she screamed for Lute.

Lute looked over and gasped when she saw Velvette fall in the pool.

"𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗧!"

The rest of the residents heard the panicked scream, and they went over to see what was happening. Seeing Velvette just slowly sink to the bottom and not panicking was freaking them out a little. But it was mostly LUTE that was panicked.

Velvette had also unfortunately fall into the deep end, which made her dislike pools after 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘶𝘮𝘢...

It was a nice summer day, and Velvette and her family were at the local pool.

Velvette set her small bag of things by an empty table while she watched her parents put her sisters floties on.

Now, Velvette didn't know how to swim, so all she does is just let her legs be in a little bit of the shallow end while 𝘚𝘏𝘌 has to watch her sisters be brats. She didn't know why her parents couldn't watch them, but hey, when you're the oldest, you're the backbone of the family and are expected to do everything for the family.

Velvette got up and stretched after a bit in the shallow end. She looked behind her only to see her sisters, looking like they were about to push her in the pool.

This got Velvette panicked, and she ran to another part to the pool. Unfortunately, her sisters were following her.

Until she got to the deep end, she panicked more and looked around, only to be cornered by her sisters.

"Don't you dar- AAGH-!"

She screamed when she got pushed in, struggling underwater to get back up for air. She kept struggling, but it was no use. She was just drowning to the bottom of the deep end.

𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬 𝘎𝘰𝘥, 𝘢 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦𝘨𝘶𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘥𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘩𝘦𝘳, 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘶𝘱 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘱 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘶𝘵.

She was set next to her parents' tanning chairs while she coughed out all the water. Of course, her parents acted worried, but they didn't give two shits if she died.

"Oh my gosh! Thank you for rescuing our daughter!" Velvette's mother said while her father secretly gave her a hard glare.

The lifeguard nodded and headed back on. Once they were gone, Velvette's mother turned to her with a hard and angry glare. "What the fuck was that?" She sneered.

Velvette looked up at her mother and stuttered. "Th...they just pushed me-"

"There's is NO reason to blame your sisters!" Her father cut her off before she could finish her sentence.

"If you were watching them instead of me, I wouldn't have almost drowned!" Velvette snapped.

𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲...

"𝗢𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲, 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘁..."

Velvette's eyes widen and she panicked. "No...no! Please, not-"

"Shut the fuck up...you'll get us in trouble..." Her father sneered once more, silencing Velvette.

Velvette continued to slowly sink to the bottom, closing her eyes.

Fortunately, Roo was able to get Velvette out with her magic, surprising the overlord.

Once she got back on land, she started coughing and gasping, not to mention shaking.

"Shit...Velv...You're okay..." Lute told her gently, stroking her back softly while she started to sob and cling onto her girlfriend.

The others were staring at her, some concerned and some sympathetic.

Lute picked Velvette up in bridal style and went to the tanning chairs, setting her down in it and grabbing a towel to dry her body with.

Velvette was still gasping and sobbing before Lute started to caress her cheek gently.

"Hey...doll...You're okay..." She says.

Velvette started to calm down, holding Lute's hand with hers.

"I don't wanna be out here anymore..." She whimpered. Lute nodded and carried her in bridal style once again and took her back inside of the hotel, wanting to get her dried up and warm.

She kissed the top of Velvette's head and sighed softly.

"I love you, doll..."

"..L....love you too, pigeon.."
