[ 8 ] 2037

After Summer refused to talk to him anymore, Harry decided to give her some space and stopped calling for six years. He thought that one day she would see him as her father if he gave her some time to accept it.

And he called the house once more, on Summer's twenty third birthday.

"Hello?" Autumn answered the phone.

"Autumn," Harry began, "Its me, is Summer home?"

This time, Autumn's voice lacked that anger she once felt towards Harry. It was true that he had hurt her deeply, but so much time had gone by that her wounds were now healed and she felt no resentment towards him. "Harry." She said into the phone. He even thought there was a hint of happiness in her voice.

"Can I talk to Summer?" He asked the woman who had once been his girlfriend.

"Summer isn't here." Autumn informed him. "She went to study abroad in Mexico and won't be coming back until after her graduation in two weeks."

Harry's heart dropped. He wanted so badly to talk to his little girl who would be turning twenty-three today. But curious to know about her life, he asked Autumn. "Tell me about her. Which school does she attend?"

"She got a scholarship to Fermatta. Its one of the most prestigious music schools on earth." Autumn beamed with pride at her daughter's achievements. "She wants to be a singer just like her father, but she wanted to get her degree so she'd have something to fall back on in the future. You would be proud of her if you saw her, Harry."

"I am very proud of her." He admitted. "Do you think I could meet her some day?" He asked in a hopeful tone.

Autumn remained quiet for several minutes before saying hesitantly. "I don't know. She might not want to meet you and I can't force her to accept you."

Harry sighed. "I'll be calling again soon. And I'll talk to her myself. I really want to see you two again."

"It would be nice to see you again too." Autumn replied.

The two said their goodbyes and Harry hung up the phone.
