Chapter 2: The Only Way To Forget Is To Remember

Anilara's POV:

The city streets of Lothal were strangely quiet today. I leaned against a tall building and held two finger to an small ear piece that was on my right ear. "Master Cancer," I whispered into the ear piece. "What's your location?" Static. This damn thing was always doing strange things.
"To the north of where you stand, Padawan. Patients, you will need," my master chuckled through the ear piece. I rolled my eyes and walked into the sunlight and only a few people and life forms stirred. I was getting really agitated. My master, Cancer Nixora, myself, Anilara Tuhko, and our crew of two other individuals, Sylvia Harkens and Jalmik Anji, had some mechanical difficulties and crash landed on this wasted planet. I guess I couldn't complain too much. There was a lot of Empire activity here and I really needed to let out some anger.
"Don't go trying anything stupid, Anilara. Stick to the city limits," Cancer's voice was commanding and tempting to take advantage of. I smiled a small wicked smile.
"I won't, master." And with that, I took off down the streets. The golden armor I held on my back and over my shoulders pressed lightly against my back and then pulled away, only to meet my back once more. I tried to take my mind off of it, but the memory still clung to me, like it had happened yesterday. I slowed to a walk and met the outside of town limits. I smiled again and walked out into the fields of golden and cream colored grass.
Weather you like it or not, I'm getting bored. I thought rebelliously and kept walking through the grass, looking for trouble.

Ezra's POV:

It had been about two days since my dream... I mean, my nightmare. I had calmed down since then and wanted to just get some untamed, wild anger out. "Kanan, how about training today?" I pleaded. He shook his head.
"I don't want you to go back into the nightmare again," he said. "One more day. Then we can practice." Yeah, you said that yesterday, I thought. Then, an idea came to mind. Maybe, I could go and practice on my own.
I walked away from Kanan, acting angry about his decision. I walked off the ship, ready to head out and kick some storm trooper butt. "Hey, kid! Where you headed?" Sabine's voice called from on top of the Ghost. Damn it!
"Uuhhh, to my tower. Gotta have some me time, ya know..." I couldn't think of anything better to say. It was like she could read my very thoughts! We looked at each other for a bit before she shrugged and walked the opposite direction of me. I smiled at my devious plan. Ha ha ha! Then I ran towards my old tower, where I used to live before I met the Crew. But while I was on my way, some thing in the Force was... Different. It was regular temperature out, so it was the Sith Lord. But, it still felt like I was the main target. I had to stay on alert, no matter where I went.
I walked through the grass, looking for the dark gray tower that rose like a rock in the sea. It's been so long, I think I had forgotten where it was! I closed my eyes and looked through the force. I held up my hands, searching. When I opened my eyes, something in the grass stirred. I placed my hand next to my lightsaber/blaster, ready to defend and strike.

Anilara's POV:

What? Just my luck. Another person was out here. Obviously not a trooper or anything, but different form the people in the city. I dropped to the grassy floor and started to crawl forward. He was a boy, and he was searching for... something. But what? Was he searching for me? Another Padawan, I rolled my eyes at the thought. Greeeeeaaaatt...
Well, we were both Force-sensitive, as far as I could tell, so he must sense me! Suddenly, his eyes flashed open. Bright blue. I stiffened and was ready for an attack.
It appears he had the same idea. A weapon of some sort was hitched to his hip and he had his hand right next to it. Ok, one of us is going to have to make a move, I thought. After about thirty seconds, I decided to rise up slowly. When I did, the boy grasped the weapon and pointed it at me. "Really, Padawan?" I said, defensively. The boy narrowed his eyes. A surprising, fearful glare radiated through the air.
"I could say the same thing," he said. We were both on guard, just looking at each other. I swallowed and pulled out my lightsaber. I drew it out and showed it to him, igniting the green blade. "Seems I have the upper hand here." I smirked, but it disappeared when the boy clicked a button and a bright blue lightsaber blade flashed up. Shit! What do I do now? I thought.
"Just for the time being, what's your name?" The boy asked. I scoffed and raised the blade of my lightsaber. "Why should I tell you? You could be working with the Sith Lord," I challenged. "My name's Ezra." He countered back, ignoring my agitated tone. "Name's Anilara, Ezra. You got a Master?" He looked a little on the shocked side that someone would ask that. "Of course I do!!" He growled, and ran forward, his saber ready for my offensive attacks. I blocked the shot and pushed him off, sending him backwards. In the air, he flipped over and landed on his feet, and lifted his head with a smart ass grin. He ran at me again, but drew in the blade of his saber and surprised me by throwing out bright blue shocker blasts. I didn't have time to dodge them and was hit directly. It was as if the energy I held had been ripped away from me. I had little time do nothing but panic. "Cancer! I need help!"
