Chapter 35: The Eclipse.

Aphmau POV

I woke up screaming in fright.

My whole body was on fire, the hairs on my head felt like needles poking me a thousand times. My lungs sensed bombs ready to explode in million of tiny pieces that injected into my body. Laurance immediately woke up watching as another ear piercing scream escaped my throat, I'm sure by now the whole house has woken up due to my disruption, but I could help it.

I felt the rush of wind blow against my warm body, the windows were wide open letting the dangers of the night enter the cosy abroad, the clouds unravelled itself revealing the sun that outlined the moon ready to escape from its torture of staying in one place, but that didn't help my condition. My skin felt like it was peeling of my body, yet it didn't look so. My mind, my heart, begged me to stop this torture that interrupted my peaceful slumber, but I couldn't do anything besides feeling the pain that increased by the movement of my heart.

I couldn't handle this, my body couldn't bare to decipher the impact of the attack that raided my body, I'm pretty sure by now that I would've been dead but my body is somehow alive and beating, making the pain expand by a million times. I let our another inhuman scream, everyone entered the room and Malachi stood by my side placing a cool rug on my forehead, but that didn't help, I clawed the towel me and sat up gripping my hair as if pulling it off would decrease my pain, but it caused more.

My body stood up by itself, and this time I knew someone was in control of my actions. The times where by body was manipulated by something, I've always seemed to escape the torture, but this time, my mind and heart shut off, my chest wasn't moving yet I was standing up lifelessly. I felt no air exhale into my lungs but I lived.

I knew I was crying, but no tears escaped from my eyes, my emotions were turned off but the pain didn't move one bit, I tried to take control, but I had no control. My jumbled up feelings, my emotions were trapped in a cage, while my mind, my thoughts begged my body to listen to me, I felt my heart shatter like how a fragile glass is thrown on the floor, literally. Everything bursted into the nothingness, I cried, I pleaded, but nothing worked, I was broken.

My legs felt numb as I walked against the wooden floor, my eyes held nothing, but endless pain that was covered in the darkness. My ears held the shouts of my friends trying to pull me back, but I pushed them away, it pushed them away.

My body dragged itself outside, where the rain was heavier then ever, everyone followed me outside trying to drag me back but they ended up facing the collisions. I couldn't bear the thought of physically hurting them myself, I tried clawing out of the black bubble that didn't pop easily, but it was no use.

I gasped although no sound escaped my mouth, I stood in front of a waterfall. The water was green and dull, while the leaves floated away, trying to escape from the harm of the poisonous water that lays above the ground. I gulped frightened as I saw Gene and Lillian arise from the shadows along with two cloaked figures holding a heavy looking coffin, it was no ordinary coffin considering the black ancient linings scripted on the stone tomb. I tried everything, I thrashed, I punched, I kicked, I yelled, but my body didn't seem to be listening to me. The others weren't behind me, they were nowhere to be seen, it was only Lillian's evil sneer and Genes malicious glare  haunting me.

"So vulnerable, so weak. Your lucky that I didn't kill you yet. Unfortunately you- or your body I should say, is needed as the sacrifice." Lillian rolled her eyes.

Sacrifice? I'm going to be used as a sacrifice, my life would be sacrificed for someone who doesn't even deserve to live. Maybe dying wouldn't be so bad, but the dying part isn't what I'm worried about, what I'm worried about is when Shad would be resurrected. I'm bringing terror to my friends, to my family, my lover. And I can't do anything about it, but just stand there and be used as a pawn.

I closed my eyes, I feel so helpless, so useless. My grandma, My Mum, Zoey, they're probably just looking down at me shameful of what I've become, or what I am. A fucking pawn.

My body moved by itself again and I internally groaned in frustration, Lillian growled at me from behind while Gene strode in front of me. I knew they had something to do with my situation, if I wasn't still in pain right now then I would've already broken free and ripped them to shreds.

I felt myself lit up recognition, we were at the cliff, the same one where I fell off and died, It was the same exact replica, but this just adds to my lists of anxiety. What if Laurance really pushes me off? he wouldn't do that, Laurance would never do that, unless...-No I should never think like that, Laurance wouldn't betray me, would he?

I could somewhat hear the angry mourns of the waves crashing against the rocks below, the moon was high up in the sky followed by the sun shining behind it. They laid Shad's coffin in the middle of the edge, where it was sturdy enough not to fall.

"It's time."

Laurance POV

We followed Aphmau outside, but for some reason our powers weren't working, so we had to rely on our own skills. We ran following Aphmau, she was walking so fast that even I couldn't even catch up with her. When Aphmau woke up screaming, I felt scared. I felt scared seeing her in pain, I couldn't bear the thought that she was in pain and that she was suffering and I couldn't do anything. When she opened her eyes, I knew she was under compulsion, but I didn't know who was controlling her.

A sudden scent makes its way to my noise and I'm sure everyone else smelt it as well, it was a smell that I despised the most. Lost wolves surrounded us as if we were its prey. Lost wolves are as powerful as a normal average vampire, but they're not as powerful as original vampire who are ten times stronger then they are.

"You and Malachi go and try to find Aphmau, we'll fend these wolves off." Zane said as I nodded and ran around the wolves who didn't seem to notice my disappearance, Malachi followed behind me.

We saw Aphmau, she was standing in front of a tomb that I very much recognised, it was Shad's coffin. I growled under my breath, they actually are going to try unfreeze him.

"Don't even think about it."
