Aphmau POV

I hid behind a desk in the corner of the room. I heard a group of people walk into the room along with someone who was grunting relentlessly, suddenly the room lit up and the curtain that was covering the glass wall opened. The glass door creaked wide open and I heard someone else walk into the room.

I decided to peak my head up. Distraught was brought to my face as I saw Laurance, he looked paler as he ever did before, he looked exactly like a ghost. Someone grabbed a microphone and started speaking into it.

"Welcome Everyone." The crowd cheered and clapped.

"Today we honour you the privilege to see the actual death of Laurance Zvhal!" The crowd cheered even louder.

"Christopher, bring Laurance up here, where everyone can see him." Laurance walked out still walking normally.

Christopher pushed Laurance against the cross, everyone booed at him, but even though Laurance was weak he still urged himself to roll his eyes.

"Does anyone object to this obligation?" No one objected.

"Then we shall-" Before I could object someone already screamed the words right out of my mouth.

"I object!" A girl ran out on the balcony taking Laurance from the grasp of Christopher and hugged him to herself.

"Who are you?" The man spoke angrily.

"I'm Laurance's girlfriend, and I have proof that Laurance is innocent." My eyes widened, he has a girlfriend?

"And what proof do you have for his explicate behaviour?" The man spoke slightly irritated.

"This!" She let go of Laurance and showed the man a video making his jaw hang wide open.

"H-How did you get that?" He stuttered but she ignored him.

"This man over here has framed Laurance and made his men commit the murder of Meteli's Head!" Everyone gasped.

He moved the microphone from his mouth so nobody could hear their conversation. "Yeah, but only you and I know that, I saw the video. Why would the public believe you!" He spat darkly chuckling under his breath while the girl rolled her eyes putting her hands on her hips.

"The video is on big screen." She smirked, the man looked like he was going to pee his pants.

Everyone started booing and threw stuff at the man and Christopher. They both trudged out of the stage humiliated and slamming the door behind them. The girl looked at Laurance and kissed him.

I looked away, I couldn't bare seeing Laurance with another girl and I don't know why. It's like the blue eyes that I saw in my dreams has vanished into fin air completely forgotten. A tear slipped from my eyes. Why am I even crying? Of course after a year Laurance has found someone else, it's not like he would've waited for me for a year, and I don't even know if he likes me or not. I admit I actually really liked Laurance, but if he's happy with her then so be it.

Aaron POV

After the whole scene leading to the man who trudged out publicly humiliated, Aphmau was nowhere to be seen. I was waiting by the door where she entered the castle, I knew Aphmau liked Laurance and vice versa, and she's probably heartbroken knowing that Laurance has moved on. I never really liked Aphmau in the love love way, I liked her as a sister who is very close to me. I'm like her protective brother.

I did have good news, but I don't know if it will be good news for Aphmau anymore. My father was going back to O'khasis, meaning he's leaving Phoenix Drop, so it was safe for Aphmau to go back. I don't know if she'll be excited or upset, but we have no choice, the cottage that we're living in is to close to O'khasis and there might be a chance of her getting caught. Me and Jason are moving back in with our father, despite the fact that we absolutely hate him, we need to keep him distracted away from the original plan by putting a lot of stress on him.

Aphmau walked out of the door looking like she was in deep thought, once she saw me she jumped up startled.

"Oh, hey Aaron." She smiled, I could tell it was fake.

"Hey Aphmau. I got some news." We both started to walk towards the car.

"Yes?" She nodded for me to continue.

"Your moving back to Phoenix Drop." I tried doing to dramatic jazz hands, but with Aphmau's surprised face I dropped my hands to the side.

"What? What about you!?" She rambled.

"Well Jason and I have to move back to the mansion to stall my father from making any progress in the plan." She looked down and sighed.

"Can I at least- I don't know! Change?" I looked at her weirdly.

"Huh?"

"I want to look a bit different, um... like a different haircut. I want to at least look like I had fun. I always wanted to dye my hair platinum." I crossed my arms studying to see if she suits platinum hair.

"You know what? I think platinum will suit you, especially with your green eyes." She creased her eyebrows.

"Green eyes?" I looked at her dumbfounded.

"You mean you didn't know you had green eyes?" She shook her head.

I laughed shaking my head.

A few hours later, We made it back to the cottage. Jason was already there packing our things, after packing we stored the luggages in the car and we made our way to the local hair dressers. Aphmau actually wanted to dye her hair, but I had nothing against it. She spent an hour in the hair dressers while Jason and I chilled in the car. I was about to go outside to see why she was taking so long, but the car door opened and a girl randomly sat in our car buckling her seatbelt.

"Uh, who are you?" I scratched the back of my head.

"What do you mean? You can't recognise me?" I looked at her before I gasped while Jason looked at her in shock.

"A-Aphmau?" I stuttered taking in her full appearance. Platinum hair and green eyes definitely goes together well.

"You look good." I complemented and she slightly blushed.

"Heh, thanks. The more different I look, the more of a less chance of 'them' noticing me." She chuckled dryly.

I could tell she was hurting a lot inside. While I was running after her although I could've stopped her with my speed, she stopped and stared at her old friends who were also vampires and witches. During this past year Jason and I tried everything to make her happy, especially Jason since he's the one who actually... killed her.

Unfortunately, since it's her eighteenth birthday she'll be moving to her senior year, which will be extremely hard for her to keep her powers a secret. She'll also has to learn how to control her powers and how to use them.

Hopefully she'll be fine on her own.
