Aphmau POV

Days flowed by at ease and it soon turned into a month. A month I couldn't see the daylight, a month I couldn't see the moon reflect light on the dark town. A month I couldn't see a thing. It felt like I was blinded by the darkness. It felt...like everything was closing in on me. All the holes that allowed light to cascade through has been blocked by the darkness. The light of hope.

I figured Emmalyn lied about this whole blindness thing lasting for a week. Honestly I've gotten used to it. With the help of my friends and the 'vampires' school has been going pretty well. The teacher knows what 'happened' and they chosen not to question me about anything and carried on teaching the class. I could feel stares drilling through my head and it was annoying me to the max. My head has gotten a lot better only a few headaches and my leg barely hurts anymore. I could walk properly even though I'll probably end up banging in to wall.   Luckily Mum has gone a business trip for a few months, we often talk a lot in the phone. I pretended that everything is alright when it's really not. The 'vampires' and I have gotten pretty close together, I recognise their voices pretty well and the girls and I hang out Mostly at Laurance's house. Laurance and I have gotten to learn about each other, it's never too awkward when we talk, we just pour our hearts out in our conversations, it's really comforting. I just sometimes forget that I'm 'temporary' blind.

I was hiding my frown with a fake smile hoping it would last longer. I had a few giggles here and there, and everyone tries really hard to keep me happy, but how could I be happy when they're not happy themselves?

The girls including Katelyn, Kawaii Chan and Cadenza were currently talking about some girl who I couldn't be bothered to remember her name... Ivy maybe? The boys were talking about boy stuff which concluded as football, and I? was staring of to dream land.

"Ivy has seemed to be very...nosy lately." Lucinda whispered in a hush tone.

"Yeah, strangely every class that I am in with Aphmau, she seems to be in it as well. She always just stares at Aphmau, kind of like what she's doing right now. Creep." Cadenza said in a voice of disgust. I could almost imagine her gag.

Everyone on our table stopped talking, I heard a rough clicking of heels coming closer towards our table. I just 'looked' down not wanting to be involved in anything.

"Well hello guys!" A high pitched noise screeched causing me to cover my ears, I stifled in repugnance.

Weight lifted on the bench next to me." Hello Aphmau, I believe we haven't had a proper introduction. I'm Ivy." She spat quiet rudely causing me to frown. Everyone else was silent.

"And I believe that you already know my name." I stated going back to my dream world when I was rudely interrupted.

"Don't you think I deserve a proper introduction?" She growled making me lift my head.

"And why do you need that when you already know my name, it's a waste of time...don't you think?" I replied playing with my nails that Zoey kindly did for me.

"And don't you think I deserve some respect." She snarled angrily, Laurance who was on my left pulled me closer to him.

" Why would I care? I could tell by your bitchy attitude that you don't respect people. So tell me 'your highness' why do you think you deserve respect." I barked taking a deep breath to control my temper.

"How dare you disrespect me with your stupid mouth! Oh, how I wish you had your sight!" She shouted causing some people around us to quieten down. I creased my eyebrows in confusion.

"Why might you wish that?"

"So you could see this!"

Uncontrollably my hands slipped out of my lap towards my neck, I heard Ivy snicker wickedly standing up from the bench. My hands move closer to my neck gripping my frail neck hard stealing the breath away from my lips.

"W-What a-are you d-doing?" I managed to choke out, I stood up from the bench stumbling away from my spot.

"S-Stop-" I Dropped to the ground finding it hard to breath, I tried removing my hand from my neck but it wouldn't budge.

Tears spill from my eyes as I feel faint. Chairs screeched against the floor, I couldn't focus what was happening.

"Don't you even think about touching me." I got the feeling that Laurance was going to charge towards Ivy.

"Not unless you want her to live. Besides, I won't kill her yet. I'll let someone else do the job. Someone who wanted to get revenge since the day she was born." She released my hands making me cough uncontrollably. I sobbed until my head felt very faint. Someone lifted me from the ground and I snuggled closer to their chest stifling more cries.

The person brought their hand up to wipe away the tears that fallen down my cheeks.

"Shh, you'll be alright." The male voice cooed recognising it as Laurance's voice. The feeling of déjà vu swept past me as I instantly stopped crying.

By now the whole cafeteria was quite bringing more attention to me. I hide my face in Laurance's chest. A whole lot of other footsteps followed knowing that the others were following us.

I felt the wind blow against my face, I guess we're skipping school. I yawned signalling I was exhausted. I let the sleepiness take control of my body.

Laurance POV

"But what did she mean by 'Someone who wanted to get revenge since the day Aphmau was born'?" Cadenza said. I looked at Aphmau who laid peacefully on my bed snuggling deep into the comforters with a small smile on her face.

"It means that we have to be more cautious and always on a look out. If they're a threat we kill them." Travis explained slouching on his seat crazily.

"We can't just kill them you doofus." Katelyn hit the back of his head.

"Travis is right." I said.

"We can kill them?" Travis sat up with a smile on his face. Garroth, Zane, Dante and I glared at him while the girls face palmed.

"No, we need to be carful. It's not just about Aphmau's safety, it's about about everyone else's as well."
