Mary and I did make up, but we didn't talk much. And yet she didn't ignore me. So I guess it's okay. Maybe...?

"Next!" Cameron shouted over the crowd of girls. Yes, I was searching for my mystery singer. There were girls here from different school districts!

"Hi what's your name?" I said looking up at the girl.

"I'm Stacey!" she said excited.

"Okay...so you know the audition song, right?"

"Yes!"

"Okay let's go then!"

"I'm over the mo-on--"

"Sorry sweetie it's not you..."

"How do you know?!" she protested.

"The one..." I hesitated, "Sounded good, not like a cat was dying..."

"Jerk..." Stacey stuck her tongue out at me and walked away.

"Jeez...it's not her fault." I muttered.

"I'm gonna take five Horan." Cameron said walking into my house.

"Kay..." I muttered. Soon Liam ran over and sat in his chair.

"Hey man, how's it going?!" he said patting my head. Liam seemed to have a strange obsession with my hair...it was quite funny actually.

"Terrible. It's been over two hours, and we've heard over 70 girls sing." I groaned throwing my head back, "I just can't seem to find her!"

"Don't lose hope..." Liam said walking away, because Cameron was coming back.

~MARY~

"Maggie...he's over there, trying to look for me." I said. Maggie spit out her Coke.

"You're The Princess!?" she literally screamed.

"Maggie. I am not a princess." I said sternly.

"No...Niall's calling her his princess." Maggie said.

"Princess?!" I said, "Really?!"

"Yes! You need to tell him! He's going insane trying to look for you...so go!" Maggie said trying to shove me to the door.

"No!" I said as Maggie opened the door, "I am not going to tell him it's me!"

"Um...Mary..." Maggie whispered, "Turn around."

I turned around to find Liam standing at Maggie's door, eyes popping out of his head.

"Fuck...!" I muttered.

"Y-you...YOU?!" Liam said still in complete awe.

"Yes..." I mumbled, "It was me."

"Bu--you told us that you can't sing!" Liam said.

"I've said a lot of things...one that Niall already solved for himself." I confessed.

"Wai--I-I don't believe this...I'm going to have to hear it for myself." Liam said running inside the house. Maggie sighed and followed him in, me following.

"What song?" I said sitting down. I pulled my bottle of water out of my bag.

"Any song." Liam said sitting down.

I pulled out my iPhone and played Ke$ha Dancing With Tears In my Eyes. I can't sing unless I have the earplugs in.

Liam's mouth was wide open once again when I was done.

"...Liam..?" I cautiously asked.

"Y-You...it's...I gotta tell Niall!" Liam said getting up.

"No!" I screamed, "Maggie get him!" 

Maggie pulled him to the floor in a headlock.

"W-What?" Liam sputtered.

"Y-You can't tell Niall!" I said, "I don't want anyone knowing my secret...who kows what will happen."

"But...Mar--" 

"No...please leave." I said. Liam got up and walked out. But Maggie waved and gave him a smile.

"Maggie I--" I tried to explain.

"No it's okay Mary, I get your reasoning." Maggie, "And if you need it, remember there's the balcony. Relieve the worries there."

What Maggie meant by that was singing/screaming on the balcony. When she discovered that calmed me, she always suggested it. But I wasn't in the mood for balcony singing tonight. I just sat down on the couch and watched The X-Factor. Someday...I hope I can get as big as the people who audition for that show.

~NIALL~

"Well that's it..." I said, "I guess she never existed..."

"It's alright man, we still have the popular girls." Cameron said leaving.

But those girls aren't the same...there was something different about Mystery Singer that drove me crazy. I walked outside on my balcony and looked out at the sky.

"Where are you princess...?" I whispered while looking at the sky, "I need you..."
