"Jeez mum I feel so bad..." I murmured, "I mean she ran into me and dashed away."

"Well maybe the next day you can talk to her. Now your aunt got a new phone, add her in." my mom said. I pulled out my phone ready to unlock it, but my background was different.

"Um Mum..." I said realizing the owner of the phone, "I think I'm going to have to talk to Mary tomorrow..."

"Eeep!" my mom squealed and began to dance around.

"Oh god mom..." I muttered.

"Hey Niall!" Drew said, "Welcome back!"

"Mr. Horan?" a man that looked like the principal came up to me, "I hear you have no idea where anything is yes?"

"Yes sir..." I said.

"Well, this is Liam." the principal moved aside to show a kid in black skinny jeans and a plain white tee-shirt. His hair was growing back from a buzz-cut, so he had a mini-quiff almost. He had a tattoo of arrows going across his arm. He looked weak to the popular guys, obviously because they had huge smirks on their faces, but he looked REALLY strong.

"He's going to show you around the school." the principal said slightly shoving him forward. Once he had walked away all the guys approached Liam.

"You better not turn him into one of you..." Kevin muttered in Liam's ear before shoving him to the floor. Once all the guys left I ran to Liam to help him.

"Are you okay man?" I asked. Liam backed up.

"Why are you helping me?"

"Jeez what's wrong with this school?! I help someone off the floor and it's a crime?!" I exclaimed.

"Sorry man...I'm just not used to a popular being so nice to me." Liam said, "So, shall we start your tour?"

"Sure, whenever you're ready!" I said patting his back as we began to walk out the building so he could show me the entire campus.

"Where are you in the groups?" I asked Liam.

"I'm...between a regular person, and a nerd." Liam said.

"You don't look or act anything like a nerd..." I said looking him up and down. Call me gay, but this guy was pretty fit. Even his feet looked good.

"I know but I'm in advanced everything." he said, "Being smart apparently means you're a nerd."

"Well that's not cool..." I said looking around.

"So anyway all the classes are in different buildings. So...Language Arts classes are all in there." Liam said pointing to a dome.

"And Science is over there." Liam said, "And so on."

"Cool." I said, "So...do you know Mary?"

"You mean the skateboarding chick?"

"Y-yeah her."

"Why do you wanna know about her?"

"Well I'm just curious. She has to be worth much more than a clutz." I argued.

"Sorry...she's really shy, so nobody except her friend Maggie knows everything about her."

"Oh..." I wondered. What if I got to know her? I mean I have her phone.

"Hey dude what would she do if I had her phone?"

"Probably kill you--" Liam stopped talking realizing I wasn't kidding, "How'd you get her phone?!"

"Um...well she has mine, that's the problem."

"Oh...wow..." Liam said scratching his head, "Well, um I guess we should return it."

"Well, don't be a party-pooper." I said unlocking the phone, "Let's look at what she was listening to in algebra."

"Oh alright!" Liam said looking over my shoulder. We searched through the entire iPod. She had over 500 songs. She seems to really like music...Kelly Clarkson, Ed Sheeran, Michael Bublé, The Beatles, The Black Eyed Peas, Cher Lloyd, will.i.am by himself, Britney Spears, all the good stuff. Even Justin Bieber...teehee.

"Teehee!" I squealed when I saw the Biebs. 

"You're a Belieber?" Liam asked me.

"The only boy Belieber I know!" I said happily.

"Alright!" Liam said laughing, "Now let's return the--"

"I'm over the mo-on, doing my thing, doing my thing, I'm over the mo-on, doing my thing, doing my thing and I can't, get enough, life is feelin' so good cuz I keep moving u-up, I'm over the mo-on, doing my thing and I won't come down!"

Someone with an enchanting voice began to sing while Liam was talking and I totally stopped moving. The voice was amazing!

"Who is that?" I whispered.

"I don't know...it's coming from the Math building..."

"I've been chilling on a star with my five star view..."

"Hey that's Over The Moon..." Liam murmured with a smile, "That's my sister's favorite song."

"You have a sister? Cool! My older brother went to college." I said thinking of Greg. He's cool for my brother I guess...

Back to the mystery voice, I've always had a thing for singing. My parents got me my first guitar when they heard me singing in the back of my car. Apparently I had a gift. So if they believed it, I would embrace it. Whenever my mom would have a long day I'd play my guitar to soothe her brain. She's very thankful for that, because Greg used to massage her back. And we all know where he went.

"You wanna go in?" Liam interrupted my thoughts.

"Duh!" we both ran in and opened the door to find all the classrooms deserted.

"What." Liam said obviously disappointed.

"What's the problem?"

"Niall, people don't really have amazing talent. Once we find someone gifted, the populars destroy it by making fun of them. Apparently the only gift you can have is giving a good blow-job or fucking someone extra hard."

"That's terrible!" I said shocked, "There should be plenty of room for talent like what I just heard."

"Wait...Niall you're a newborn popular!"

"What's that gotta do with this?"

"All people want is to be a popular, so, say that whoever has the voice can be a new popular, and...I dunno, go on a date with you!" Liam exclaimed.

"But didn't you say they hate it?"

"Not if a newborn popular suggests it!"

Wow I feel special...*insert smiley face*

"So what do I do?" 

"Just tell the populars, and they'll help."

"I know Liam, I'm talking about the date thing."

"Niall girls are all over you."

"Wha?"

"With their eyes. No girl can stop looking at you! Even some of the popular girls have their eye on you! And you look good!" Liam said, "No homo."

"Aha..." I said laughing, "I know what you mean don't worry. I also said you looked good in my head."

We both laughed at our gay-like behavior and began to walk back to campus.

"So you'll do it?"

"...yeah I will Liam." I answered.

"Cool! It may not seem like it, but this really excites me! I've always wanted to be friends with a good singer, or a singer anyway."

"Well you might have two..." I said giving off a hint.

"...wait, NO WAY. You sing too?!"

"Yes!" I said laughing.

"Can I hear you?" Liam looked at me with puppy eyes. This kid is just too awesome.

"Not now Li." I exclaimed trying to hold back a laugh, "So, I have gym, and you?"

"Language Arts!" Liam said.

"Well I'll see ya man! Sit with me at lunch?"

Liam suddenly froze.

"Y-You mean at the popular table?"

I didn't know the table had a label...

"Um...yeah." I said giving him a look, "So?"

"Only populars can sit at that table!" Liam said running up to me. 

"Well a normal is going to sit there now I guess." I said smiling. Liam rolled his eyes, waved, and ran to the Language Arts building. I made my way to the gym.

"Niall right?" a girl said walking up to me.

"Yes?" I said turning.

"I'm Maggie! You may know me as Mary's friend?"

Mary...?

"Yes." I said.

"She wants her phone back." she said holding her hand out.

"I'd like to give it to her myself please?" I asked.

'Well, that's not a good idea...I'm not even supposed to be talking to you, but those bitches don't scare me." Maggie said, "So if you'll just--"

"I want to give it to her." I said again.

"GIVE. IT."

"Fine!" I said giving it to her. I respect her toughness.

"Niall. I'm NOT so sure about this...!" Liam said as I led him to the sky deck where the populars ate."

"Come on it's not like they have an army in front of the skydeck enterance!" I said. To my surprise there were two guys standing in front of it.

"Wow..." I muttered under my breath, "Um hey! Can he sit here today?"

"No." one said.

"Bu--"

"Populars only. Unless you wanna take it up with Jason."

"...Alright." I challenged. Suddenly the entire lunch room was silent.

Oh shit.

What.

Did.

I.

Just.

Do?

"Ja-SON!" the other guy shouted, and both of them moved aside. Suddenly a guy with light brown hair and a frightenly great body build came up to me and Liam. The lunch room was still as silent as the night.

"Niall right?" he asked walking down the steps.

"Yeah." I said cloe to stammering, "I just want him to sit here today."

"That's it?" Jason asked getting in my face.

 "Promise..." I said.

"...y'know what guys! He's a newborn popular! Let him have a freebie!" two guys quickly made space for Liam and I ask Jason barked out orders.

"I never properly introduced myself my friend, I'm Jason Lerentos!" he said shaking my hand, "And over there," he pointed at a girl with black hair, "Is my girlfriend Christa, so hands off!" he said laughing. I gave him a slight chuckle and lead Liam up the steps. Each step seemed like history to the entire lunchroom. Once he was on the sky deck itself, everyone was in awe.

'Well...this is awkward....' I thought.

~MARY~

I walk into the lunchroom (without my skateboard of course) and see the entire lunchroom looking at the sky deck. Did the new kid get beat up?

No. Worse.

Liam Payne just made history.

I can see it now.

First Nerd/Normal to Sit on the Sky deck.

And I was going to be the first nerd to have a popular's cell phone in possession, and the first woman/nerd to stand on the sky deck.

I had to give Niall back his phone.

"Good luck." Maggie said patting my back. All the other nerds at my table saluted me, and I was off.

Being scared...

Holy shit I'm a foot away from the first step.

It was like the lunchroom was on a remote control. It went from loud to quiet, then loud, then completely silent that you could hear a pin fall.

Once I had taken the first step every girl looked at me. Suddenly, I pep-talked myself quietly in my head.

You are not a nerd, you are just returning a phone.

I took the rest of the steps without hesitation and walked right to where Niall was sitting with full confidence.

Oh shit what was Mary doing?!

"Niall?"

I looked up horrified she was going to embarrass me or something.

"Y-Yes?"

"I have your phone."

Every popular person on the sky deck stared at me with shock and astonishment. Then I remembered about the phone malfunction. Jeez two days at this school and I've been mortally humiliated twice already...

"Oh..."
