Weather is random with each location, and it can impact your investigation in many different ways. The possible weather options are listed below...

Clear Skies
Normal weather that does not affect gameplay.

Light Rain *
Slightly makes hearing audio cues difficult, such as
doors opening or objects being thrown. Flames are
not affected by this type of weather.

Heavy Rain & Thunder *
Map is pretty dark except the occasional flash of
lightning. Makes hearing audio cues more difficult.
Flames cannot be lit in this type of weather unless
indoors.

Strong Wind *
Makes hearing audio cues difficult.

Light Snow *
Snowflakes will fall from the sky but not
accumulate on the ground. A light fog will also be
present. If the map is outdoors, such as the
campsite, it will make spotting ghost orbs difficult
as they can be confused with snow.

Fog
Reduces visibility using night vision cameras.

* Will make the starting temperature lower in all rooms, but can be warmed up if the power is on - it will just take longer.
