Walking in the jungle
The adolescents settled down to talk about the past events and Richard's adventure. Maddie had them line up to get their food and she passed it out on plastic plates.
Danny got his food served and his mom passed him a plastic cup with water too.
He smiled at her and went back to his seat.
"Don't you have anything else other than just water?" Paulina asked.
Maddie shook her head, "You must all drink alot of water. It's best for you"
Paulina huffed and took her cup. Then settled on a seat with Star on the seat next to her. The students were allowed to sit wherever they pleased so you could find everyone on each other's seats.
Sam sat next to Danny on the ground and Tucker joined them.
"So what now?" Danny looked at Tucker when he spoke and shrugged.
"Guess we just improvise like always. Its worked so far. The mark must be gone by now. So we can't count on that anymore"
Sam scrunched her eyebrows, "You still good?"
Danny yawned as a response, "Tired"
Tucker grabbed his friend's face and turned it different ways. He inspected the halfas eyes and his mouth until Danny slapped him away, "Stop. I'm okay. Just tired!"
Tucker and Sam exchanged a worried glanced.
The trio finished their food quietly. The murmur of voices resonated in the ship and gave a satisfying effect.
Before they knew it, they'd come across another lair. Everyone crowded by the windows and shouted at the Fentons to stop.
"It's a dictatorship," Andrew said.
Chelsea looked at him, "You don't know that"
Andrew pointed, "Yes, I do. It's got a green aura. Mrs. Fenton said it. Don't you ever listen?"
Danny tried to look over the many heads. He kneeled on a seat and saw through the window. He gasped, "Crap"
After all he'd done to prevent it. They had still come by it. The teenagers wanted to visit Skulker's Island.
Danny cursed himself. He should have payed more attention to where they were going. But it was too late now. They'd reached the place and it had caught their attention.
Of course it had. Who wouldn't want to go on a floating island covered in trees and forest and a skull watching over the whole lair like it owned the place.
Maddie looked at the island with doubt. "Do you think it will be safe enough, Jack?"
Jack grinned, "Of course it will. And if we find a ghost, we will fight it. And the kids have trained!"
Maddie smiled, "Yes, you're right. Besides, it might be time for some action"
She walked back and faced the teenagers, who looked at her expectantly. "We will visit this island, but first" she shouted over the cheers, "finish your food and throw it away here" she crouched down on the ground and slid a panel sideways. It revealed a dark hole which served as trashcan.
The people ate up hurriedly and threw their plates and cups away. Dash, Kwan and James played basketbal with it.
They waited eagerly for Maddie and Jack to pass out the orange jumpsuits and they put it on over their clothes. Jack explained that this lair was more dangerous than the highschool therefore they would be extra prepared. They also handed out Fenton wrist wrays. Dash asked for a Bazooka, which he got.
Danny groaned as his dad also gave a Bazooka to Kwan and James wanted the Anticreep stick.
He put on the jumpsuit and stood next to his friends. Tucker pursed his lips, "Forget about improvising, man. We need a plan"
Danny frowned, "What plan. All we can do is follow them and hope nothing bad happens"
Sam slapped his shoulder, "We can't do that. We. Need. A plan"
Before they could talk anymore the door slid open. Danny jumped at how close they were to Skulker's Island. He was surprised the ghost hadn't attacked them yet.
Maddie stood at the entrance, "Now, you know the rules. No separating from the group and no loud noices. We don't want to attract the ghost's attention"
They followed after the ghost hunter quietly except for a few yelps here and there. Mr. Lancer kept pinching at his jumpsuit.
Danny, Sam and Tucker mixed in with the group. Danny told them in Ghost, "Just keep an eye on everyone"
Jack left last and clicked the button. Everyone jumped again when the ship beeped. They touched down on the grass and looked around in wonder. A few in disappointment.
"It looks the same as a normal forest," Star said.
They followed Maddie quietly as she made her way through the bushes. Paulina and Star kept whining about how the bushes scratched them.
Danny kept a close eye on traps. This was Skulker's hunting ground. He had a thought. He'd been here once with Valerie. He looked at her and found her scowling at the trees.
Valerie was deep in thought. She knew this place. It was one of the times she'd worked with Phantom. The other time was to save his cousin, Dani, who was halfghost. Valerie still couldn't understand how that came to be.
She shook her head. What was she thinking about? Oh yeah. The trees. She wondered if that ghost was still here. Would he attack them? Did he know she was the Red Huntress? Did he have any interest in humans?
They kept walking and the students were now completely lost. They hoped Maddie and Jack knew the way back.
Suddenly, they heard a rustling sound. They all snapped towards it. It was the sound of bushes being shoved aside and footsteps coming closer.
Danny stood ready. His ghost sense went off. He didn't know what he would do if he had to fight.
The footsteps came closer and out burst a ghost. It wasn't Skulker. It was a middle sized ghost. It was panting and frightened.
The ghost barely payed attention to them. He pushed between the humans. A few wrist wrays went off but all missed. It wasn't necessary. The ghost kept running. The last thing they heard was, "Ruuuuun!!!"
Danny's eyes widened. This could only mean one thing. It was hunting season. "Everybody hide" he whisper-yelled.
It took a moment but soon everyone was hidden behind a tree or a bush. Danny held his breath.
Valerie bit her lip. She understood what was happening. She wondered how Danny knew. She just hoped the ghost wouldn't see them. She would have to fight it.
They couldn't hear anything but suddenly a ghost appeared through the bushes. It was a big ghost covered in armor. It had flaming green hair and a smirk on his face. He stepped forward soundlessly despite his size and chuckled at the running ghost's pitiful attempt to escape.
He walked while grabbing a long sword that was attached to his back. Then he stopped and cocked his head.
Danny's breath caught. He'd found them. He jumped up and ran away. This way, Skulker would follow him and maybe not notice the others.
He heard his mother call his name.
His plan would have worked, if a few other students hadn't followed his example. Mikey, Andrew and Chelsea ran after him.
He scowled at them, "No, don't follow me. Hide!!"
But it was too late. Skulker caught up to them. He smirked, "Well, hello whelp. This is a nice surprise. And I see you've brought humans with you."
Chelsea, who stood next to Andrew, brought up her wrist way and shot.
The ray bounced off Skulker's armor. It left the metal slightly black. The ghost growled and grabbed Chelsea. He grabbed her wrist wray and threw it away. Chelsea scowled and kicked. Her foot touched with his arm and it was yanked back. Skulker ignored it and clicked something around her wrist. He let her drop and she fought against it. Danny recognised it as a handcuff. It was connected to the ghost's belt. He gulped. He knew how hard those were to break.
As Skulker captures Andrew Danny grabbed Mikey's arm and pushed him away. "Run". Then Skulker snatched his arm and handcuffed him too. Danny growled at the ghost. Skulker grinned and shook the handcuff.
"Thought you could escape me, whelp?"
"No," Danny smiled, "but they did"
Skulker laughed, "I'll get them soon enough"
Chelsea stopped strugling, "You guys know each other?"
"No," Danny frowned.
Skulker ignored them and dragged them behind him. They didn't have a choice but to walk behind him. Danny prayed the others had reached the ship and escaped.
At least two hadn't. Because on the way they came upon Melissa and Dash.
Dash had come running and screaming. Melissa right behind him telling him to shut up. They were caught and put in line with the other prisoners.
They kept walking and soon were going uphill. Danny knew what that meant.
They were heading for the skull.
Welllll. Hiya mah readers.
So how was it. I think this is good.
You think the others got to the ship? Did they leave? Whazzgoinonnn!!
