The mark and the ghost
Haha. Who else laughed at the pic. Me did.
Richard was pulled in by the rope. He whined all the way and struggled but could do nothing as he was dragged in. He pouted as Jack unclipped him.
"Time's up scout. Hope you had fun."
Maddie brought in Star, who looked puzzled.
"What is it, dear?"
"Why have you painted the ghost boy's emblem on the ship?"
Maddie stood shocked as Paulina squealed. "The ghost boy?!"
Danny cringed back. Shiiiiiit.
His mom snatched Richard rope from Jack and clipped it onto her jumpsuit. She pulled her cap over her head and jumped out. She expertly floated to the top of the ship.
Danny gulped. He glanced at Sam who smirked at him. "Everything will go smoothly, huh?"
Danny scowled. "I didn't say it would go smoothly and I was trying to make you feel better."
Sam smiled and switched her gaze to the door. "I know."
Maddie's feet appeared in the opening and she jumped feet first into the spaceship. Jack looked at her curiously.
"Interesting," she said, a pensive look on her face. "it seems we have been claimed."
Danny reared back in shock. She knew about that?! While the other students stood in confusion.
"What?"
"Claimed?"
Maddie nodded and looked at Jack, who seemed to be catching on. "Ghost claim their territory. There have been more claims in Amity Park. I'm sure you've all seen the news and the glowing white spots."
A few nodded.
"I think it's from the same ghost who just claimed our ship. Though I would have to run some tests."
The blonde haired boy from earlier raised his hand again. "But who did claim the ship."
Valerie gasped. "Danny Phantom."
The students looked at her weird. She huffed. "Well. It is his emblem glowing on the ship, isn't it?"
Maddie nodded. "It is indeed the ghost Phantom."
Paulina squealed. "He knows I'm in here." Star giggled and they started to plan the wedding and all the invites, which obviously wouldn't include losers like Fenton.
Ha! I love irony
The red haired girl that had been so curious about the sign language spoke up. "So you're saying we've just been claimed by Amity Park's ghost. What does that even mean."
Mr. Lancer nodded and scribbled it down. Jack nodded. "Good question, uuuh."
"Melissa," the redhead finished for him.
"Good question, Melissa. It means we are now the property of that ghost and it wants other ghosts to know not to bother us."
Danny rolled his eyes. Well, they seemed pretty up to date. He wondered what else they knew and what they thought of him marking this ship as his.
Maddie crossed her arms. "Normally this would have been offending. But this is actually very good." She paused, thinking it over. Danny breathed in relief. His mother was a well educated scientist. She was smart. "The emblem will be a warning for other ghosts so we'll be safer. Although I wonder why Phantom would claim us."
The blond raised his finger as a wise man would do. "The ghost boy, also known as Phantom, haunts part of the human realm, also known as Amity Park, and considers it his home. Therefore it is safe to say he sees us as a part of his haunt and seeks to warn other undead beings of the danger in approaching us as he would attack them."
The teenagers stared at the young boy with inquisitive looks.
Richard frowned and looked up. "Umm, can you say that again? In English this time?"
A brown haired short boy slapped the blond's arm. "What have I told you about talking like the inventor of the dictionary?!"
"Umm...Sheldon? The dictionary wasn't 'invented'..."
"Andrew!!"
Andrew hung his head. "That I shouldn't talk like the author of the dictionary."
Sheldon nodded Maddie considered it. "Actually, he might be right."
"What? That the inventor of the dictionary talked weird?"
Maddie huffed. "No. Phantom probably sees us as part of its haunt, which is Amity Park. So it's natural that it wants to claim us from the other ghosts."
A chorus of oooh's came from the group.
Danny spoke up. "How do you know about the mark?"
Jack raised an eyebrow. "Mark? Who's Mark?"
Danny tried to correct his wording. "I mean the emblem. The claiming thing."
Maddie smiled and patted her boy's head. "It's our job to know all about ghosts, Danny. Speaking of which. How about we take a little rest. Me and Jack will drive around a bit so you can sightsee."
"You'll get to float around the Ghost Zone later," she quickly added when an outroar came from the group. "In fact. We will land on an island tomorrow so that you can explore a ghost's liar."
This news was accepted with delight and the teenagers went to their seats to talk and gossip about the resent events.
Danny and Sam sat on the ground in between the rows to chat. "You heard that too, right?" Danny inquired Sam, who nodded bashfuly.
"Tomorrow we're gonna explore some ghost's lair, which is its home and will do anything to protect it."
Danny groaned and leaned his head back.
Melissa intervened again. "When is tomorrow?"
"Probably in seven hours or so." Andrew entered the conversation as casual as any eavesdropper.
"But how do you measure time in here?" Melissa questioned.
Andrew shrugged and held up his a wrist watch.
"I'm just hoping the ghost isn't dangerous," Nathan said nervously.
Kwan huffed. "You scared of some puny ghost?" Dash fistbumped him. "I'm hoping we get to see one. So I can beat the crap out of him."
Valerie rolled her eyes. "Sure. Knock yourself out. Which, by the way, is probably what you will do."
Danny couldn't help but chuckle at that. Richard whispered, "Buuurn"
Star hugged herself. "Do you think we'll get hurt." She gasped and looked at Paulina in horror. "What if it steals our skincream."
Sam frowned. "What would a ghost want with your skincream."
A tall, muscular and brown haired boy who looked about 16 said proudly. "Don't you worry, Star. I will punch that ghost out for you."
Star looked at the boy starry eyed. "Oh, James. You're so heroic."
Paulina giggled at her friends luck.
Dash saw this happen and quickly stood up to face James. "I will protect you, Paulina."
James frowned. "No, I will protect Star, you better stay out of the way!"
"I'm a better protector!!"
Danny facepalmed as the two boy's fought and the girls giggled at how cute it was that they were fighting over them. Even if there was no need for it. He dragged his hand across his face.
He heard Richard shout: "Fight, fight, fight" and Mr. Lancer shouted something that was lost in the ruckus. The teacher quickly gave up and went back to his book.
"Hey. Hey!! Do you guys hear that?!?!" Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at Sam in confusion. Then they glanced at their surroundings and strained their ears to hear whatever the goth had heard.
"I don't hear anything," Melissa said.
Sam smiled and leaned back, satisfied. "Exactly. Now let it stay that way." She grabbed the book she had taken out of her backpack earlier and went back to reading it.
The students stayed in shocked silence for a few seconds. Then a chuckle and Danny burst out laughing. Soon Richard joined in and they hung on to each other as they laughed. Melissa snorted out a chuckle and a Chinese girl who'd kept quiet the whole trip covered her mouth as she giggled.
Sam scowled at the laughing boys. "Quiet! I only just got them to shut up."
Danny tried, he really did, but it felt too good to laugh. He let out the worries he'd hidden from his best friend and let himself relax. He turned to the black haired boy next to him. "Man, I love this girl"
Sam stopped scowling abruptly and Danny quieted down, realizing what he'd just blurted out. "Umm. Not really. Just like... like a friend!! I was just...it... no..I didn't mean it like that."
Melissa leaned in and wiggled her eyebrows.
The students were quiet. Danny just wanted to turn invisible. All eyes were on him. "Euuhhh.."
It was at that moment that an alarm went off. It was more like the lights went red but it didn't make any sound. Jack bounded in yelling: "Ghooooooost!!!!"
All the kids rushed to the windows to stare out at the first close up ghost they'd come across while in the Ghost Zone.
It's safe to say that Danny's never been so happy to see a ghost before. He glanced at Sam discreetely. She was staring at him but quickly looked away.
Danny felt a chill go up his spine and his breath fogged. Ghost sense. Thanks for the heads up, ghost sense.
His breath fogged again. As if saying: you're welcome.
He stealed a peek through the window and sighed. The Box Ghost.
"Ooooh. I am the Box Ghost. And you will perish by my hand." And he floated up to one of the guns and slapped it.
Danny furrowed his eyebrows. Was it just him or was the Box Ghost acting very weird.
Said ghost looked at the still intact and charging gun. "I may have miscalculated."
He flew away as he showed the gaping humans his behind. A laugh echoed and he disappeared. Maddie was fuming.
"That rancid piece of protoplasm was making fun of us."
Dannys wasn't so sure. He'd noticed something. Something familiar. His eyes were red.
Jack had a Fenton Bazooka in his hands. "Let's go, Maddie. Nobody makes fun of the Fentons."
He opened the door but Maddie stopped him. "No, Jack. As much as I would want to show that ghost what the Fentons are made of, we can't leave the children here alone."
Mr. Lancer let out an indignant huff and Dash was offended at being called a child.
Jack considered it and sighed. "You're right, Mads. There'll be enough other ghosts."
Maddie smiled and closed the door. Then she looked at her watch, which she had gotten for this trip (ghost proof of course). "Well, it's time we went to bed"
Complaints rose and many groaned. Jack clapped his hands. "Common, kids. Sleep so that we can wake up bright and early for tomorrow."
"I swear if he calls us kids one more time," Melissa growled. "I'm sixteen, not fourteen"
"Hey," Andrew yelped, offended, before being elbowed by Sheldon.
Star whined: "You don't expect us to sleep in our seats, do you?"
Maddie shook her head, much to the confusion of a few adolescents. "Press the button above your seat."
Star did, curious. And yelped when the seat folded in and a bed rolled out.
"Whoaaaa"
The teenagers were impressed.
Soon everyone was pressing buttons and taking turns to the bathroom in the back to change and wash their teeth.
Danny was sitting on his bed, taking his shoes off. Thinking of the ghost impersonating the Box Ghost a while before.
Then the peace was broken by a screech and Danny snapped his head up.
He'd completely forgotten about Tucker.
Hey guys. What's up.... go on. Say it......you now you want to.
Well somethings been bothering me. Remember the Pariah dark episode? At the end when Danny had pushed pariah in the sarcofagus and is about to pass out we see vlad holding the key that he used to close the sarcofagus and the crown of fire which danny had had knocked off pariahs head.
WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE CROWN!! This was maybe all vlads plan. Now he has the crown and if im not mistaken, pariah still has the ring. And vlad still has the key.
Ugh its killing meh.
Anywayyyyys. What did you thnk of this chappie.
