Kim sat hidden in the bushes. She didn't move. She barely even breathed. Her eyes darted from a bush to a tree. Her long black hair fell down across her shoulders and over her face.

Then she heard a snap. She did her best not to flinch. Her eyes slowly moved to where she had heard the sound. Another snap and footsteps.

Someone was running this way. Kim's breathing accelerated. Was it that ghost again?

A figure appeared. It was dark at first but then it came into the light. It was a boy.

He was tall and had brown hair. Kim remembered him from the trip.

"Psst" she whispered.

Browny stopped. He panted and looked around in fear. He lifted the bat he was holding and shouted.

"Come out and fight! I'm not afraid of you!"

"Pssst!!!"

Browny snapped his head towards her bush. She stuck her head out, "Stop shouting, idiot. You want the ghost to find us?"

The boy nearly yelped when the girl appeared. He jumped. "Whoa. Where you there the whole time?"

"Yes" she stepped out and stretched her cramped muscles.

"Where are the others?"

Kim looked around, "I don't know. But at least a few got captured. Saw them"

Browny lowered his bat, "You're that girl from Freshman."

Kim nodded, "And you're that bully from Sophomore"

The boy frowned, "Jeez. No need to be insulting"

"What. It's the truth" she beckoned him to follow her, "common, browny"

"Name's James" he grumbled but followed after her, "I've seen you sometimes in classes. I thought you were shy."

Kim pushed away a branch, "Not shy. Just quiet"

They walked in silence for a few minutes. The Chinese kept telling James to stop stepping on so many leaves.

"But there's leaves everywhere," he whined.

"Shhh" she said and urged him to stop.

"What?"

"Shhh"

She looked at one of the trees intensively. Suddenly she jumped up and grabbed one of the branches. She climbed up with a little effort but was able to do it silently.

James waited. Not sure if he should go up after her or just leave.

Then he heard a scream and a shout. "Catch!!"

Something fell down and he instinctively reached out to grab it. He grunted but was able to maintain his grip on it. Then he looked down at his catch.

It was small brown haired boy. He looked up at the jock in shock. "James?"

James dropped him and Kim climbed down from the tree. "Hey Sheldon"

Sheldon lifted his head from the ground, "Kim?"

James frowned, "How do you know me?" He didn't know the boy.

Sheldon stood up from the ground and brushed the dirt off himself. He frowned. "Because you always bully Andrew and my other friends. Besides we've been on the same vehicle for almost two days. Although I can't say I'm surprised you don't know me"

James threw his hands up, "Why does everyone only know me as the bully"

Kim and Sheldon gave him weird looks, "How else should we know you"

James huffed and crossed his arms, "So what now"

Kim nodded, "Excelent question. I haven't seen anyone else besides the ones who got captured. Wonder where they have been taken?"

"There" Sheldon pointed at the giant skull at the top of a hill.

They all looked at it for a minute. Then Kim turned to the boy, "How do you know that?"

"Saw them from the tree. Remember when Mikey made a distraction so we could get away? I ran this way and hid in the tree, which is, as you can see, very tall. I saw them get captured and walk to the skull."

They looked at it again, thinking of what to do now.

"I bet they're all there" James said cautiously. He knew what they were all thinking.

Kim put her hands on her hips, "And I bet we're going to get them"

James groaned. "But there's a big dangerous ghost and that's his house and its probably full of traps and we don't know anything about it and we'll just get caught ourselves. No way. Forget it. I'm not doing that. Uh-uh"

Kim crossed her arms.

Five minutes later they were making their way towards the skull.

They would have been walking to the ship but Sheldon had reminded them that Jack had locked it and there was no way in and no use trying. It would only waste precious time.

The only weapons they had were the bat and Kim's wrist wray. Sheldon had lost his.

How were they going to do this?
