Nightmare

New kim.

Also. Warning!!
There'll be gore. A little bit
Maybe I should rate the story for kids older than thirteen or something idk. Is that a G rate?

   Blackjack turned once they had gone through and blasted the door. It exploded into pieces, most of which burned away.

Danny closed his eyes at the bright light. His senses were too sensible now. Blackjack's flapping wings were like a hurricane in his eardrums. He was laying in front of Chelsea and splayed across the horse's back and neck. His arms flopped next to him.

Chelsea held him steady. "Hey. You ok there? Phantom?"

Danny blinked open his eyes. "Just call me Danny. Thanks, by the way."

Chelsea shook her head, still not fully believing the fact that her classmate was a real life superhero. "For what?"

"For getting me out of there. I don't think I could've stood up at the moment. Let alone fly away."

Chelsea snorted. "Don't thank me. I was in shock. Blackjack dissolved the shield and got you the moment we saw you stop. I just got you up."

Danny frowned and looked at the steed's fiery mane. He smiled. "Really? Thanks Blackjack. Guess you do have a heart."

The horse snorted and threw his head back, bumping into Danny lightly. The boy chuckled and held his head.

They flew up after the ship, which seemed to have stopped. They passed it and saw the faces of students looking after them through the windows.

Danny smiled and rose a hand.

They cheered. Sam put her hand on the window and smiled in relief.

Blackjack flew towards the very front. To the ghosts.

Dani waved wildly. "Danny!! That was awesome!"

David grinned, at least it looked like a grin. "How were you able to keep it up? And....I still want to know....why do you look like that?"

Danny flinched and held up a blue hand. Images and horror filled memories filled his mind of a certain someone that also had blue skin and fiery hair. They even shared the same name...what a coincidence.

He dragged the hair across his face tiredly and just shook his head.

Damien looked closely. "Hey man. You ok? How about you ride Cujo? You look like you need it more than me." Damien brought the dog closer to the halfa.

Danny nodded slightly and tried to push himself up. He ended up having to be passed from Chelsea to Damien, who positioned him in a way he wouldn't fall off. Damien sat next to David on Leroy and Dani was as always with Stephanie.

Dorian flew around them worriedly. "How do you feel, Daniel. Do you need anything?"

Danny stroked Cujo as the dog whined. He sighed. "I'm ok. Just tired."

Dani grinned. "Go ahead and take a nap. We're almost there anyways."

Danny hummed and his eyes closed. He was out like a light.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fear.
It hung thick in the air. So thick, Danny could barely move.
He panted as he looked around. It was dark. But the ground gave off a light glow. It spread so far Danny couldn't see the end of it.
His hand reached down against his will. He touched the glowing substance.
It was squishy and sticky.
Danny's breath quickened as he realized what it was.
Ectoplasm.
Lots of it.
Danny quickly checked himself but he was fine. That only scared him more.
He paled as his eye caught something else.
A hand.
It was half melted and unmoving.
The young boy bit back a scream as his saw more and more limbs. Then also red blood.
Human blood.
I did this, the thought was loud in the boy's mind. I killed them.
The thoughts became louder as he started to hear it from all around him.
I DID THIS
MURDERER
I KILLED THEM
Danny's legs felt like jelly and he fell down. The ectoplasm and blood soaking his clothes. They felt like hands grabbing him and dragging him down.
Suddenly Danny realized he was wearing his jumpsuit. He looked at his hand and was startled to see blue skin.
He was shaking wildly as he brought the hand to his chest. His white hair was bristling and flaming. He felt his core. It was changing.
Danny gasped as something penetrated his core. Something that didn't belong there.
Something evil.
He screamed as the feeling spread to the rest of his body.
His skin cracked at the power that took over and he felt his body change.
He closed his eyes tight and curled in on himself in agony.
Then he opened them.
They were deep red. Like Blood Blossom that shone from inside. The venom reflected in his soul.
He stood up slowly and inspected the bodies around him with new eyes.
I did this. He laughed.
Wait, why was he laughing.
Danny took a shallow breath.
No. Nononono.
This wasn't happening.
He was becoming like....him.
Why do I keep calling him 'him', as if he was another person. I am him!
No, I'm not!!! Get away.
I can't leave. I am you. I have to realize this.
No!!! This wouldn't have happened if Vlad didn't do that.
That's right. It's the fruit loop's fault. I'm going to kill him.
Danny almost agreed with himself. Kill Vlad? That didn't seem too bad. He started shaking. His eyes wandered towards all the other beings he had killed.
No! Forget it. I'm not killing anyone!! I didn't kill them. They aren't dead. They were just unconscious.
Danny actually started laughing. Unconscious?! Did he seriously think that? They're dead! I killed them!!
NO
Danny screamed and flew up, his eyes open and wild. All he saw was green. He shook and whirled around in a panic.
"Danny!"
The boy turned around again to see Dani's scared face. He blinked and realized he was back in the Ghost Zone and surrounded by his cousins.
Damien held his palms up as if trying to calm down a frightened animal. "Take deep breaths. Calm down. Breath in. Breathe out."
Danny hadn't realized how quick his breathing was and how fast his heart beat. He felt greatly relieved to feel his heartbeat. He had never missed it that much.
The halfa forced himself to take a few deep breaths. He ran a hand through his hair, which was thankfully not on fire. He checked his hand to find out he was in human form.
"You ok there?" David stepped closer cautiously.
Danny saw they were standing on a small island. He plopped down as he tried to control his trembling limbs. The images of his nightmare still fresh in his mind. He rubbed his face an nodded. "I'm ok."
The others looked on with concern.
Danny sighed. "I just had a nightmare. But I know it's not true so," he took a last deep breath and finally stopped trembling. "I'm ok."
They could only guess of what the young boy had dreamed of. However, they knew better than ask further.
Stephanie's ears were facing back. "You alright?"
Danny nodded and stood up. "Yeah yeah. Where are we?" He laughed as Cujo licked him.
Dani gestured to an island behind them. "We're here."
Danny gasped as he caught sight of the palace. A big, Indian palace with those round towers that look like drops of water and gigantic doors.
"This is where your friend lives?" He inquired. "Wait. How long have I slept?" He still felt sluggish.
Dorian shrugged. "Only about an hour. It took us a long time to wake you up."
David giggled. "Your parents were just coming to help us when you woke up."
Danny frowned. He didn't like the mischievous smiles they were giving him. "What did you do?" He quickly checked himself and found dirt smudged on his skin and clothes here and there. He was also slimy. "Did you bury me or something?!"
Dani laughed. "No but almost."
Damien grinned. "Only after we yelled in your ear and let Cujo slobber you."
"And Dorian ectoblasted your face." David laughed. "You look almost as black as your hair."
"That's not funny!" Danny shouted as his cousins cracked up. He rubbed his face and phased through the slime. Then he rubbed the dirt off.
Stephanie chortled. "Yes..it is."
Danny pushed Cujo away and stomped his way towards the edge of their rock. He saw his parents and classmates make their way towards him. They left the ship behind.
"Danny!" Maddie hugged him. "Are you ok, sweetie?"
Danny hugged her back and sighed in content. It felt awfully good to be comforted and accepted by his parents even after what they found out. "I'm ok, mom." He was getting tired of repeating that so much.
Jack clapped his back, which made the boy grunt. "He's a tough one, Danny boy. A true Fenton."
Danny smiled and wanted to leave when someone tackled him.
It was Paulina.
"Ghost boy!! Why didn't you tell me. But don't worry. We can be together now."
Danny held her back and threw Dash a concerned look. The blond seemed to be hurt by his girlfriend but couldn't contain his excitement at being close to The Danny Phantom.
The halfa pursed his lips and pushed Paulina further away. "Sorry, Paulina. But I already have a girlfriend."
Paulina blinked and glanced at Sam from the corner of her eye. The goth seemed just about ready to claw the Latina's eyes out. "Oh. But I'm sure that won't be a problem." She smiled sweetly and Danny gulped.
He shook his head wildly. "Nope. I have a girlfriend and we won't ever be a thing, Paulina. Sorry but you need to go back to your boyfriend."
He could literally see her heart break and he flinched. Tears pooled in her eyes and Danny panicked. "But umm...I could give you an autograph. It's the only one I'll be signing so maybe it'll be worth a lot."
The change was immediate. Her face shone brightly and she squeaked. "Oh Phantom. That's so sweet. You're amazing. I'm never selling that. I will always treasure it."
"I want one too." Dash whined and shook Danny's arm.
There was an outroar from the class as everyone shouted out.
Danny bit his lip. He couldn't give them all autographs. That'd be too suspicious. Besides, if Paulina felt special, being the only one with an autograph (which was also a not subtle hint that their relationship was purely professional. Not dating) she might not feel as bad after the heartbreak. "No!" Danny shouted. "Only Paulina will get one. And that's that."
The Latina threw her arms around him and pecked his cheek. Then she let go and swung her hips as she walked towards Dash.
Danny stared in front of himself wideyed. What he wouldn't have done to get that kiss three years ago. But that was three years ago. Before he had started developing a crush on someone else. The same someone that was stomping towards him.
Danny quickly rubbed the lipstick off his cheek. "It wasn't my fault! I was the one kissed, not the kisser."
The girl reached out and grabbed his collar. She pulled him forward and glared. Then she kissed his mouth.
It was deep and loving.
She broke it and rubbed the last of Paulina's red lipstick off his cheek.
Danny was giving her his lovestruck puppy dog eyes. She smiled and patted him. "Let's go."
Danny stumbled after her.
Tucker elbowed him to bring him back from Lalaland. "Hey dude. Earth to Danny."
Danny broke out of his daze. "Huh?"
Tucker grinned. "An autograph? Seriously?"
Danny waved his arms. "I freaked out!"
They flew towards the palace. Dani up front and eager to see her friend.
"Hello?" She called out. "Anybody home?"
"Danielle?"
Everyone turned to see the source of the voice.
It was Desiree.
