Get over it

Kinda messing with the eyes.

Back in the Fenton Space Craft Star grumbled as Blackjack's wing almost slapped her when he shuffled in the cramped space. "Will you calm down?"

The horse snorted and bared its teeth at her, making her yelp and hug Paulina. Stephanie and Dani stifled a laugh at this. Kim and Mikey decided to talk and pass the time and learn more about Damien. David sat by quietly, sometimes smiling at Dorian, who's little light was doing twirls in the air. Nathan tried to get to the bathroom but couldn't get through the large Pegasus in front that kept growling at him.

Tucker tried out another button and saw a cabinet fly open. He whistled when he looked inside. "I was wondering where Mr. Fenton left the fudge." He quickly closed it before the stench could spread in the cockpit. The man seemed to have forgotten to replace it. He happily tried out something else and laughed when two windscreen wipers appeared and went back and forth across the window. He turned to look at Phantom. "Look at this. Why would they have this. For wiping away ghost bird poop?"

Phantom gave no indication he had heard. Tucker turned to see the boy on the ground, knees curled up and leaning with his back against Leroy, who was sleeping on the floor. He absently stroked Cujo's puppy form. The dog's tail sweeping the floor fervently. Phantom was staring at the ground, deep in thought.

Tucker sighed and leaned against the console. He yelped as a red light lighted in the ship and alarms blared. There were screams from the back. He quickly pushed the button he had accidentally leaned on and turned it off. "Sorry!" He called to the passengers that chided him.

Tucker rubbed his face under his glasses and glanced at Phantom. The boy was looking up at the ceiling with a lost expression, as if still trying to figure out why the ceiling had been screaming at him.

Tucker saw Kim walk towards him from the corner of his eye. She stood next to him and Tucker looked at her curiously.

"You should go talk to him," she said surprising the boy.

"What?"

Kim gestured vaguely towards Phantom, who was still staring at the ceiling. "Something is wrong and is bothering Phantom. That much I know. And if I have learnt one thing from this trip, is that he tells you everything so you should help him with it. Go talk to him."

"But-" Tucker sputtered. "Guys don't talk to guys. We just," he half-heartedly punched the air, "punch each other on the shoulder."

Kim scrunched her nose. "That's stupid."

"You think so because you're a girl."

She rolled her eyes. "Look. I know Danny has troubles. Being a half ghost is probably not all fun and games like the others think it is. I'm not sure what he goes through but I'm honestly surprised he doesn't have depression. Either way, he's been able to rise above it and keep going. Whatever has him so down must be bad so you gotta help him and keep him sane." She shooed him off and Tucker sighed, complying. She was probably right.

Cujo saw him coming and stuck his tongue out, tail swishing faster. Tucker petted his head as he sat down next to his friend. He took care not too lean into Leroy, not really sure what their relationship was.

Phantom gave no indication to have seen him. Tucker punched his shoulder.

The other boy yelped in surprise And clutched the spot. He looked at Tucker in shock. "Why did you do that?"

Tucker suddenly felt embarrassed. "Nothing. Hey, dude. What's up. Are you alright?" He changed the subject.

Phantom shrugged and glanced at Cujo. "I guess. Well, not really. My other me, Fenton, just keeps looking at me and I can't forget that I look like this. He won't accept me. I won't accept me." He had switched to Ghost. Something he did when he was indesicive about stuff.

Tucker was reminded of Kim's words. He tells you everything. He smiled wrily. He considered himself lucky that Danny put so much trust in him.

But Tucker didn't really know what to say. He was never good with emotional things and he wasn't a big fan of huddling up and talking about feelings. He pursed his lips. He decided to just ask questions and let the dude figure it out on his own. That's what Jazz did. "Why can't you accept yourself?"

Phantom scowled at him and he flinched. "You know why! Because I look like a monster. Because I'm gonna become evil. Because all of freaking humanity is in danger thanks to me!"

Tucker sighed. "You're not turning into him, Danny."

"Yes, I am. I can feel the hatred and the fury and I- I'm scared..." He took a shaky breath.

Tucker shook his head. "Danny, you're being paranoic again. Everyone has bad thoughts and feelings, which by the way aren't exactly bad. It's the way people react to them that counts. Anger, remorse, jealosy. Honestly, you're an angel compared to the rest of humanity, dude. You already beat the guy's butt and he's gone. Even Clockwork trusts you enough to let you live! You have to let this go."

Phantom kept scowling. "I'm not an angel," he muttered.

The techno geek sighed expasperatingly and leaned into Leroy without thinking. The monster didn't react, thankfully. "Bro, you know what would have happened if I became half ghost? It happened once. There is no way I would be the hero you are. There's no way in the whole Ghost or Human Zone SAM would be as selfless as you are. Sure she'd help out but she'd just use her powers to destroy all the barns and let the cattle into the wild or kill off all the sweet monster trucks and you know it."

That got the ghost boy chuckling. He paused and shook his head. "But I did use it for personal gain."

"Yeah, to prank Dash. Bro, I would have been worried if you hadn't done that. So get over it. You're not turning into a merciless killer and you should stop worrying about it because it isn't doing you any good."

The other boy stayed quiet for awhile. Then he weakly gestured at himself. "How do you explain this then."

Tucker grinned, as if it was something Danny should be happy of. "You're getting more powerful. Just because you look like him doesn't mean you are him."

Phantom blinked. He glanced at his reflection in the window in front of him. He saw a blue scrawny kid with flaming hair that looked pretty badass to be honest. His glowing green eyes stared back at him. They held relief. Acceptance. Phantom grinned at his reflection and his reflection grinned back. Tucker was right. He should stop being so afraid of himself.

Tucker was startled by a body crashing into him. He hugged his friend back. After a moment Tucker patted his fiery hair. "There, there."

He heard Phantom laugh and let go. The ghost boy wiped tears from his eyes. "Thank you, Tuck."

"What are friends for."

"Usually not to comfort them that they are not turning into an evil monster but alright."

They sat in comfortable silence as Phantom ran a hand through his hair, something he'd been too afraid of doing before now. Tucker put his hand in the flames too and they both laughed. Phantom's smile disappeared after a moment, though.

"What is it?" Tucker asked him.

The ghost boy bit his lip. "Now we only have to convince Fenton too."

Meanwhile Sam was looking at said boy be escorted out of the room. She turned to Pandora. "Where is he going?"

She smiled at the girl before switching her gaze to a maid that came to her. "Danny will practice curing the sick cattle before moving on to the people." People doesn't necessarily mean humans right

Sam went red. "What?!?"

Pandora quickly calmed the girl down. "Something needs to be done and we can't risk the lives of the citizens."

Sam scowled. "Aren't the animals a part of this city too? They shouldn't be used as practice dummies. Their lives are just as important. There are animal rights. We shouldn't just throw away their lives like it's nothing."

Pandora placed two arms on the girl's shoulders. "We are not doing that, Sam. And normally I would never do this but it is a time of crisis and this needs to be done. Please understand this."

Sam crossed her arms and her scowl lessened a bit. "Alright I guess. But I don't agree with this. I'll let it pass this once."

They both knew Sam didn't actually have any say in the matter considering it's Pandora's kingdom but Pandora just smiled and turned away to continue her work.

Sam let her arms hang limp and sighed. She looked up and scanned the room. Her eyes found a woman on the bed near where Danny had been speaking with his parents. She hadn't been able to see the ghost on the bed before but now she gasped and ran toward her side. "Agafya." Her hand flew to her mouth. "No."

The ghost lay with halflidded eyes and Sam barely saw her aura anymore. She didn't respond to Sam's cries.

Another maid shushed the goth. "She's weak and has been too strained. She needs to rest."

Sam sighed and leaned on the wall next to her bed. She rubbed her face in desperation.

Hopefully Danny can fix this.
