Fails and Tales

I love this pic

So sorry guys that it took so long.
If i disappear without saying anything, the longest ill be gone is one week.
If it gets longer.....start worrying.

Danny narrowed his eyes. "You!"

Desiree pushed herself higher in a threatening manner. "You!"

Dani looked between them. "Oh you guys already met?"

Danny gripped his hair. "Why is everyone befriending my enemies. What next. Will I find Mikey making friendship bracelets with Pariah Dark?!"

Dani looked confused. "Enemies?"

Tucker patted Danny's shoulder. "Think of it this way: now you have less enemies."

"Ugh."

Desiree crossed her arms. "What," she snapped. "is he doing here."

Dani fumbled with her hands. "Well umm. We have this tiny problem. We thought maybe you could help us."

Danny's eyes widened. "Desi- that... That's why. This is what you were thinking?! That's actually very smart."

Dani grinned.

"Whoa whoa whoa." Chelsea held her hands up. "Who's that? How do you know everyone in the Ghost Zone? How can she help us?"

Desiree smirked and her red eyes sparkled. "I am Desiree." She spread her arms. "The wishing ghost."

A few boys and girls stared at the ghost unusually large chest.

"I know something I wish for," someone whispered.

Andrew narrowed his eyes. "You grant wishes?"

Dani bounced. "Yeah isn't it awesome. Hey, Desiree. I wish for a cake."

The ghost lowered next to Dani and smiled. "So you have wished it," she whispered and held up her hand. Mist came from her hand and swirled in the air. A cake formed and Dani grabbed it. She laughed and stuffed a piece in her mouth before handing some to Desiree.

Danny flinched at the wish, but nothing dramatic happened. "How- how long have you been friends..exactly."

Desiree frowned at him, cake smeared on her chin. "Oh some time after you propped me up in that crammed thermos by using my powers against me."

The others looked between the two and felt the tension.

Mikey blinked. "What?"

Danny dragged a hand across his face. "It's a long story."

The other boy grinned and gasped as if just realizing something. "Wait. You must have a bunch of stories to tell. Can you tell me sometime? Please??"

The rest of his classmates started begging too.

Dash suddenly looked horrified. "Dude! I have plushies of you!!"

"I keep pictures of you that I made myself in my locker."

"I had a freaking shrine!!"

"I bought an Ouija board last night." The person suddenly smirked. "I'm still gonna use it though."

Danny held up his hands, quietly wishing they would stop shouting creepy and disturbing facts like that. "Alright!! Calm down. I'll tell you some stories later. When we get back and things have settled down." He paused. What would happen when they got back? His class knowing his secret was one thing. But the whole world.

Desiree seemed to understand. "They know, don't they?"

Tucker nodded.

She laughed and Danny crossed his arms, pouting.

"It's not funny."

"Oh but it is." She wiped a few tear of the corners of her eyes. "Well, Dani. What did you need help with?"

The girl brightened. "You'll help us?!"

"I will help you. Because you are the only one that hasn't used my powers for personal gain." She gave Danny the evil eye.

Danny scowled back. "You messed with me. I didn't wish for you to come."

Dani waved her hands and bounced up and down between them. "Guys guys. No fighting. Let's go, Des. This way."

Dani led her to the ship.

They stopped and stared at the vehicle on a small floating island a bit away from them. They could feel the pull even from this far.

Desiree shifted. "Your vehicle? What's wrong with it? And why does the air feel so....wrong?" She said at a lack of a better word.

Danny made a circling motion with his hand. "There are filters on the ship that suck ectoplasm. It's getting stronger and we need to stop it before something bad happens."

Desiree wrung her hands. "And you want to wish the filters away?"

A few nodded and she thought about it. She was reluctant of helping the halfghost but she was very fond of Danielle. Besides, if that thing got out of control she would be in trouble too. She nodded.

Danny decided to let Dani have the word.

The girl said loudly: "I wish the ectosucking stupid filters on the ship disappeared!"

Maddie's eyes widened. She put up hand. "Wait!"

Desiree's hands were already glowing and sending mist towards the ship. The first bit evaporated without even getting close. The wishing ghost grit her teeth and sent more. The mist became thicker and approached the ship.

Everyone held their breath. Crossing their fingers and cheering quietly as the mist gained more ground. They didn't dare disturb Desiree too much. She was starting to tremble and frowned at her draining energy.

Finally she slumped, cutting off the flow. Everyone moaned and aww'd as the mist slowly dissipated. Desiree's aura flickered, which was a ghost's equivalent of panting.

Danny stepped forward on instinct but paused. He glanced at the ship and frowned. "Well that worked swell."

Desiree clenched her fists and regained her composure. She ignored the boy. "My magic can't get close. It's also made of ectoplasm. You need something more...solid."

Maddie and Jack seemed to be the only ones relieved that it didn't work.

Melissa narrowed her eyes at them. "Why do you look so happy?"

Maddie sighed. "The Fenton Space Craft runs on ectoplasmic energy."

The students cocked their heads. Andrew was interested. "So?"

Jack explained: "We have reason to believe the ship uses the ectoenergy the filters accumulate and store."

Danny's eyes widened. "It has a storage? How are you so sure it's using the filters' energy?!"

Maddie rubbed her chin. The ship's been getting stronger. Faster. More precise in movements. We noticed a while ago but weren't sure."

Tucker frowned. "How did you not know about that? Didn't you make the ship?"

Jack nodded. "The GIW insisted they would take care of the filters. They said it would be an advantage but we didn't know what they meant. We had our own small storage on the bottom of the ship. It was just large enough to keep the ship going and stopped when the ship turned off." He shrugged.

Danny put a hand on his face. "So why should we not remove the filters if you have your own small storage?"

"It's become too reliable to it," Maddie explained. "It upgraded itself and for it to work it needs a bigger amount of ectoenergy. If that's not provided, the ship won't run."

Richard laughed. "I wonder what would happen if it stopped working and we were stranded in the middle of the Ghost Zone."

Sam shook her head. "Maybe we should avoid that. So what do we do now?"

Desiree inspected the ship, then moved her gaze towards the humans. She smiled. "I can't help you. But I know someone who can."

Danny raised his eyebrows. "Who?"

"Technus."

The people who knew the ghost, or had been near enough to a fight with Phantom to hear him shout out his own name, gasped.

"That techy guy?" James questioned.

Desiree snorted. "Yes. He is one of the Ghost Zone's most known scientists and inventors. He could repair your vehicle and find a way to still make it work. He's the best man for the job."

Valerie didn't know how to feel about this. On the one hand, the ghost had given her her new suit. On the other, he was one of the reasons her father lost his job. She would thank him, Valerie decided. Then she will beat his ass.

Danny groaned. "Whyyyyy. He's not gonna help us."

Desiree shrugged. "This is your best bet, child. What other option do you have."

Tucker pursed his lips. "We could go to Frostbite. He has a few skilled mechanics in the village."

Danny brightened up at the thought but Sam shook her head. "They're mechanics. They could fix it but they won't be able to get close enough. Desiree is right," she said through gritted teeth. "Technus might be the only one who knows how to get past the force and actually do something."

Danny's hope deflated just a fast as it had risen. "You're right. I guess we'll have to figure out a way for him to help us."

"Who's Frostbite?" Sheldon asked curiously.

Danny smiled. "One of our friends in the Far Frozen. That's what their island is called. He's one of the few ghosts that we made. We hit it off well in our first encounter."

Sam laughed. "Mostly because he treated you like a king. He was a great ego buster."

Tucker bowed. "Oh Great one."

Danny straightened and pointed at them. "Kneel, servants."

Sam curtsied.

Mikey played along an bowed even though he had no clue what was happening. "Why did he treat you like that?"

Danny waved a hand. "They had a legend. A spirit would come and lock the dark king back in his tomb. Turns out that was me locking Pariah Dark in his sarcophagus."

Chelsea gasped. "That's right. You were the one that defeated that big ghost and brought us back to Earth."

Melissa frowned. "What?"

"With the skeleton fiasco. Wait a second. Is that the place where we fought Fright ghost?"

Danny ran a hand through his hair and nodded. "The dark castle is Pariah's Keep. The sarcophagus you saw is where the Ghost King is locked."

Richard paled. "Ghost King?"

Tucker nodded smirking. "The most powerfful ghost of all time. Until Danny beat him."

Kwan gaped. "That's why you didn't want us to enter the castle." He shivered. "And we almost opened the tomb."

The students gasped and begged to be told more.

Danny shook his head. "We should go to Technus now."

Andrew looked at his watch. "But it's so late now. I'm tired."

Maddie nodded. "It's eleven thirty p.m. We should rest." She turned towards the wishing ghost. "Could you let us stay with you for tonight? We will leave in the morning and try not to disturb you too much."

Danny grinned and poked at his mom with his elbow. "Mom. So polite and to a ghost."

Maddie smiled while Desiree pursed her lips. She wasn't too sure she wanted so many teenagers in her home.

Dani pouted up at her and she sighed. "Alright. One night. That's all."

Dani cheered.

Before they went to sleep everyone ate dinner. Precooked by Danny.

They pestered the halfa to recount his fight with Pariah until Danny accepted.

"So there I was. In the ectoskeleton. In front of the Ghost King. I couldn't see the sarcophagus anywhere. My enemies were fighting his skeleton army outside. Pariah kicked me away and I slammed against a wall."

The students gasped.

"I stood up. My head hurt like hell but I did it. I cloned myself into four Danny's."

Mikey's eyes widened as his imagination played it all out.

Danny was enjoying recounting his adventures to his classmates. He started out a little awkward but thanks to some encouragement he gained confidence. He got really into the story. Remembering it as if it was yesterday.

"We shot at him and kicked his butt from four different sides. Then he swung his maze and hit one of us, making him disappear."

Sheldon put his cheeks on his palms, interested. "Did it hurt?"

Danny nodded as he swallowed his last bite of food. "Sure did. But I recovered quickly and hit him in the back. He slammed against the wall and we kept hitting him."

Dash cheered. He couldn't contain his excitement.

"Finally he was able to take out another Danny and we decided we better get this over with. He grinned and said in his deep Batman voice: 'Surrender. You can't win.' And I said..." Danny paused. He wasn't sure he wanted them to know that Danny had fully accepted his possible death at the fight.

Mikey bounced. "Well?"

"I said: 'You're such a sore loser' and I blasted a wall down. The sarcophagus was on the other side. One Danny opened it and shot Pariah's crown right off his head." He laughed. "You should've seen his face. It was hilarious. So...hehe...so I pushed him in the sarcophagus. He tried to get out of my grip but I dumped him in and shut the door. My clone and I reunited and I put all of my strength into keeping the thing shut. I could see the percent of my power going down like a rock. I was below ten percent."

Gasps were heard and Jack's eyes widened when he remembered how drained he was when he used the pants.

"I didn't know what else to do except keep it shut. Boy, Pariah sure put up a fight." He rolled his shoulders as if still feeling the strain. "It still went down. Five percent. Four. Three. Two...." Danny paused dramatically and saw he had everyone leaning forward in tension. "I dropped. All my energy gone. I was afraid that Pariah would get out but I learned later that I had used so much power the tomb basically melted and sealed shut. Something clinked above me. I looked behind me to see Vlad Plasmius holding a key and the crown."

There were murmurs of surprise but no one interrupted.

"Next to him stood Fright Knight and behind them all my enemies. It was kind of scary. Anyways I looked at Vlad in confusion. Why would he help me. He was the one that set the Ghost King free in the first place. He told me: 'You don't understand that I used two teenagers to get a knight and topple a king? It's chess, Daniel. Of course you don't understand." Danny wiggled his fingers. "But then you never really did."

"And what happened then?"

Danny shrugged. "I fell asleep." He stood and walked among the groaning students. "Which I'm going to do now." He left his plate on the stack of dishes and approached Desiree, who against her better judgment had been listening to the whole story curiously. "Where can we sleep?"

Desiree showed them a large room. It was covered in big pillows with Indian designs and many sheets hanging here and there, much like the rest of the temple.

Desiree left them and went to her own room after saying 'goodnight' to Dani.

Everyone got comfortable, which wasn't very hard, and tried to sleep. Their minds were going over Danny's story.

However, eventually, everyone went to sleep.

Which I'll do too rn.
