  Danny stared at Mikey wideeyed. Then he smiled and brought up his palm for the boy to highfive. Mikey hesitated but slowly slapped Danny's hand. Danny smirked.

"Then you have accomplished more than I have"

Mikey halfsmiled but then scrunched his eyebrows, "But if you hadn't saved me, then I wouldn't have been able to save them so it's kind of thanks to you."

The halfa chuckled. "Whatever you say, man"

Danny leaned back against the bars. It was taking Skulker longer this time. Probably because he was now picking them off one by one in the forest instead of finding them in groups.

Andrew and Mikey sat next to him. Jack had inspected his handcuff but couldn't get it off. His father was afraid for him.

Jack wondered why Danny was handcuffed. What made him so different. Did the putrid ghost have other plans for him. Why?

He sighed. The big man still had a few weapons in his jumpsuit that the ghost hadn't taken away. The other weapons the robot ghost had taken from the humans lay in a pile in the corner of the cave next to the door. Jack wondered why they would be there. Wasn't it dangerous. What if they got to it and used them to escape. The ghost didn't seem like a very dumb one. Jack thought of the weapons hidden in his jumpsuit. Maybe the ghost thought they were useless or maybe it hadn't noticed them at all. Jack could use them to escape. But he couldn't do that now. He had to wait for everyone to be captured or else he would have to plan a rescue mission. Something told him sneaking in would be a lot more difficult than sneaking out.

So he waited. Hoping he was making the right decision.

The door slammed open. Skulker came in. He was humming. Something Danny had never thought he'd hear from him. The ghost opened the cage and dumped in his new cargo. Richard was screaming obsanities and struggling. Paulina lay sprawled on the ground unceremoniously. Mr. Lancer just sat down and panted, trying to recover from the long climb. He was a teacher not an athletic. Sam cursed at the ghost but looked around at the cage. She spotted Danny.

She smiled but Danny frowned. Sam was captured. That wasn't good. He'd hoped she could escape. Well, at least..he spotted Tucker. Danny groaned and banged his head against the bars. This couldn't be happening. Then he thought, maybe Valerie got...

Valerie growled from the ground she was thrown on.

Maddie recovered quickly from the dump and as soon as her handcuff was taken she kicked the ghost. Skulker was pushed back a little and he grunted. She tried to go for another blow but Skulker was able to push her in and shut the door on her. She banged against the bars.

Skulker leaned in and looked at his catch. He smirked, "Seems like the gang's all back together. It was fun hunting you but now I have to get back to the show. Don't worry. You'll get to see it soon enough."

He walked to the door but turned back to taunt them one more time. He looked at Danny straight in the eye, "And don't try to escape, ghost child. You can't"

He laughed and banged the door shut. There was a sound of a lock being turned and footsteps leaving with the key to their freedom.

Danny immediately went into escape mode. He looked around at who was here. Maybe someone was missing. Tucker sat close to him.

"Kim, James and Sheldon aren't here"

The halfa nodded, grateful that someone was helping him. "Maybe they escaped."

Sam leaned in, "Or are lost in the woods"

Danny thought about it. He certainly hoped that wasn't the case. Maybe they could help us escape.

"What kind of people are they?"

Dash was confused, "What did the ghost mean with 'ghost child'? Who was he talking to?"

Danny did his best not to flinch and kept his attention on his friends.

Kwan answered his friend, "Maybe he meant another ghost here"

Danny ignored them. If he didn't say anything, they would come up with their own answer. "What kind of people are James, Sheldon and Kim" he asked again.

Andrew butted in, "Sheldon is a great friend. He doesn't like getting in trouble but he's loyal. He wouldn't leave us here."

Mikey nodded, having gotten to know Sheldon pretty well in the short amount of time they'd spent together in the trip.

"And James?"

Andrew scrunched his nose, "He isn't in my class but I know enough. He's a bully. He won't lift a finger to help us. But I don't know Kim that much. She's very shy and quiet in class"

Danny smiled, "We might be surprised"

Mikey asked, "You know her?"

The raven haired boy shrugged, "No, but the ones that keep alot to themselves are the ones that have a lot to give"

They stayed in quiet silence for some time.

Valerie was leaning against the bars and looking around at the whispering groups. They barely fit in the cage. Many sat in groups talking and planning but others just complained or stared at the ghosts in awe.

She fixed her gaze on one particular boy. His hair was dirty as was his face and orange jumpsuit. His eyebrows were scrunched together in concentration as he talked to his friends.

She knew there was something going on. She had all the clues. She just had to put them together.

She thought about what she had overheard him say.

About his powers. How he might end up like Plasmius if he used them wrong.

Plasmius was a strange thing. He was also Vlad Masters. She'd heard something like that somewhere. Then she remembered. The jock at the ghostly highschool had talked about that.

He is a ghost and a human at the same time...

He can change between forms...

A halfa, she thought. That's what it's called. Were the students talking about him? Vlad was certainly powerful. But why did Danny compare himself to him.

Was Danny a halfa too...?

That's impossible. Or is it. Could there be two halfas?

He had white hair was very tall. He moved so fast you wouldn't see him coming until it was too late and his green eyes just seemed to bore into your soul.

White hair...green eyes.

That wasn't Vlad.

Immediately the image of a ghost appeared in her mind. She pushed it away. There were many ghosts with white hair and green eyes. And what did that have to do with Danny?

She was getting a headache.
